Introduction
Thank you very much for purchasing the Nowsonic DBox One. This active Direct Injection box serves for connecting any unbalanced high-impedance instrument signal (50 kOhm) to a balanced low-im­pedance input (600 ohms). Thanks to the rugged metal housing, the DBox One is equally suited for use in a recording studio or on stage. Please take your time to read these instructions carefully in order to operate the DBox One properly. Please check the unit after unpacking for any damages. In case the housing is visibly damaged, please do not operate the unit, but contact your local dealer from whom you have purchased the unit.

Operating instructions
1)
This DI box for indoor use was designed for lossless transmission of audio signals over long distances.
2) Power is supplied via a standard 9V battery (type PP3). Batteries
contain hazardous waste substances and therefore must be disposed properly. If you want to dispose the unit itself, please remove the internal battery first.
3) When inserting a battery, please take care of connecting the
battery terminals correctly.
4) Don‘t let any batteries lie around for any reason, since they might
be swallowed by children and/or domestic animals. If a battery has been swallowed, immediately call a doctor!
5) Leaking or damaged batteries may cause skin irritations. Always
wear protective gloves when changing batteries.
6) Be aware that the battery may not be short-circuited, thrown into
a fire or recharged. In this case it may explode!
7) Please make sure that no liquids spill into the housing. Otherwise
let the unit be checked by a qualified technician before operating it again. Any damages caused by liquids that have been spilled of the housing are not subject to warranty.
8) Do not heavily shake the unit. Avoid excessive force on the
housing while operating the unit.

9) The operating temperature must always be between -5° C and
+45° C. Do not operate the unit next to heat sources like radiators and do not expose it to direct sunlight.
10) The relative environmental humidity must not exceed 50% with a
temperature of +45°.
11) The unit must be operated in an altitude between -20 up to
+2.000 a.s.l.
12) Please make sure that the unit is only operated by qualified
personnel. Damages on the unit are often caused by a faulty operation!
13) Do not use any solvents or aggressive cleaning agents when
cleaning the unit! Please use a soft and dry cloth instead.
14) Please use the original packing material for transporting the
device.
15) Please note that unauthorized modifications are not allowed due
to safety reasons!
16) Please note: If you operate the device in any other way than de-
scribed in this manual, the device may be damaged. In addition the warranty may be void.

Connecting
1) A DI box converts an unbalanced signal of an electric guitar or a
keyboard into a balanced signal for connecting to any microphone input of a mixing console or microphone preamplifier. In addition, the impedance of the Hi-Z signal is adapted to the low-impedance input.

Inserting and changing the battery
Please follow all instructions for operating the device. Open the battery compartment next to the OUTPUT socket on the
side panel of the device

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Kauf der Nowsonic DBox One. Diese aktive Direct-Injection-Box dient zum Anschluss von hochohmigen, unsymmetrischen Instrumentensignalen (50 kOhm) an niederohmigen symmetrischen Eingängen (600 Ohm). Durch das stabile Metallgehäuse eignet sich die DBox One gleichermaßen für den Betrieb im Studio wie auf der Bühne.
