Copper Drop-in Sink Installation Instructions
Notes:
Review and abide by all building and plumbing codes.
Each Novatto sink should be installed by a professional.
Since all of our copper sinks are handmade and vary from one to the other, Novatto
recommends using the actual sink for any cuts.
Some countertops require different cutting methods; additionally seek the details of the chosen
countertop material.
All sink types need to allow for adequate faucet and backsplash installation.
Check to make sure every sink is sealed watertight.
Steps to Complete Your Project
1.) Use the actual sink as the template placing it upside down in the desired location and trace the
edge of the sink. Keep in mind where the faucet is going and if there is a backsplash.
2.) Measure the inside of the lip and mark the difference in measurement inside the line on the
counter. The hole cut should be about 1/2” bigger than the inside of the rim of the sink since the
rim will rest on the counter and a little extra room will allow for easy installation.
3.) Use a tape measure to make sure the cut will be square with the wall and counter.
4.) Apply 100% silicon around the hole and place sink into the hole. For a crisp clean look be sure no
silicon is showing on the outside of the sink. Place something sturdy and lightweight on the sink
to ensure it securely sealed to the counter.
5.) After the sink has set for 24 hours install the drain according to manufactures instructions.
