VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK

Deze gebruiksaanwijzing eerst geheel doorlezen en bewaren om later nog eens te kunnen
raadplegen. Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat.
Sluit dit apparaat alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.

Tijdens het eerste gebruik kan er wat rookontwikkeling ontstaan. Dit is bij nieuwe verwarmings­elementen normaal en dit zal na korte tijd vanzelf verdwijnen.

GEBRUIK VAN HET TOESTEL

Het snoer volledig afwikkelen voordat u deze in het stopcontact steekt. Het apparaat op een
stabiele, hittebestendige ondergrond plaatsen. Nu kan het toestel geopend worden. Sluit het
toestel en laat de platen opwarmen. Met de knop aan de zijkant van het apparaat kan de
gewenste temperatuur worden ingesteld. De platen zijn op temperatuur als het groene
indicatielampje aan gaat.

GEBRUIK VAN DE WAFELPLATEN

Wacht tot de platen op temperatuur zijn. Gebruik bij vloeibaar deeg een pollepel om het
vormoppervlak van de onderste plaat voldoende te overgieten. Leg vast deeg over het vorm­oppervlak. Let op dat het deeg goed verdeeld wordt. Sluit het toestel. Het deeg zal zich nu in de
vormen van de andere plaat duwen. Als de wafels gereed zijn de wafels verwijderen. Bij voorkeur
met een vork met twee tanden. Let hierbij op dat u de antiaanbaklaag niet beschadigt.

SCHOONMAKEN

HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT.
Reinig het apparaat na ieder gebruik. Laat het apparaat eerst geheel afkoelen. Neem de buiten­zijde af met een vochtige doek. De antiaanbaklaag niet bewerken met scherpe metalen
voorwerpen en agressieve schoonmaak middelen.

NOVA-RAADGEVINGEN

- Plaats het toestel op een stevig en stabiel oppervlak dat tevens hittebestendig is.

- Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder.

- De buitenkant van het toestel wordt heet. Pak het apparaat dus alleen bij de handgreep beet.

- Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van tafel, werkblad e.d. staat dat iemand het eraf
zou kunnen stoten; zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover zou kunnen
struikelen of erachter blijft haken.

- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het beschadigd is of als het snoer beschadigd is, maar stuur het
dan naar onze servicedienst. Bij dit type toestellen kan een beschadigd snoer uitsluitend met
speciaal gereedschap door onze servicedienst vervangen worden.

- Plaats het apparaat niet op of in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat e.d.

- Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen.

- De platen worden erg heet zorg dat kinderen er niet bij kunnen en wees er zelf ook voorzichtig mee.

- Gebruik geen schurende of krassende schoonmaak middelen.

- Het apparaat alleen zo gebruiken als in de gebruiksaanwijzing aangegeven is.

- Gebruik geen toebehoren die niet door de fabrikant aanbevolen worden.

- Het snoer mag niet met de platen in aanraking komen.

RECEPT (voor ± 15 wafels)

Benodigdheden:
250 gram boter
250 gram zelfrijzend bakmeel
250 gram suiker
4 eieren

Smelt langzaam de boter, voeg de suiker toe en 4 eidooiers. Mix dit tot een romig geheel. Klop de 4
eiwitten stijf. Voeg nu eerst langzaam het gezeefd meel toe en mix het
tot een dikke massa is ontstaan. Als laatste voegt u de geklopte eiwit­ten toe. Het deeg is nu klaar voor gebruik.

BEFORE USING

Read these instructions completely before use, and save them for later reference. Make sure the
voltage in the house corresponds with that of the appliance. Only plug the appliance into an
earthed electrical outlet.

During the first use, there may be some smoke. This is normal for new heating elements and will
disappear after a short time.

USE OF THE APPLIANCE

Unwind the cord completely before plugging it into the outlet. Place the appliance on a stable,
heat-resistant surface. Now the appliance can be opened. Close the appliance and let it warm
up. Use the button on the side to set the required temperature. The green indicator light will illumi­nate when the plates have reached the desired temperature.

MAKING WAFFLES

Wait until the waffle iron has heated up. With batter, use a ladle to sufficiently cover the lower
mould’s surface. With dough, lay it on the surface of the lower mould. Make sure that the dough
is evenly distributed. Close the waffle iron. The dough will now also be pressed into the upper
surface of the mould. Remove the waffles when ready, preferably with a two-pronged fork.
Be careful not to damage the non-stick surface.

CLEANING

FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE ELECTRICAL SOCKET.
Clean the appliance after each use. First allow it to cool off completely. Wipe the outer surfaces
with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp metal objects or aggressive cleaning agents on the non-stick
surface.

NOVA SUGGESTIONS

- Place the appliance on a stable and sturdy surface that is heat-resistant.

- Never submerge the appliance in water or any other fluid.

- The outside of the appliance becomes hot. Only hold the appliance by the handgrip.

- Make sure that the appliance is not placed so close to the edge of the table, counter, etc. that it
can be knocked off; also make sure that the cord does not hang in such a way that someone
can stumble over it or get caught up in it.

- Never use the appliance if it is damaged or if the cord is damaged, but instead send it to our
service department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord can only be replaced by our
service department, using special tools.

- Do not place the appliance on or in the immediate vicinity of a hotplate or the like.

- Always pull the plug out of the electrical socket before cleaning and in the event of electrical failure.

- The waffle iron becomes very hot, so make sure it remains out of the reach of children, and be
careful yourself.

- Do not use scouring or abrasive cleansers.

- Only use the appliance in accordance with the instructions.

- Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.

- The cord must not touch the hot waffle iron.

RECIPE (makes about 15 waffles)

Ingredients:
250 grams butter
250 grams self-raising flour
250 grams sugar
4 eggs

Melt the butter slowly, then add the sugar and the yolks of the 4 eggs.
Stir into a creamy mixture. Beat the 4 egg whites until they form stiff
peaks. Gradually add the sifted flour and mix until thick. Finally, add
the stiffened egg whites. The batter is now ready for cooking.

U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = neutral, BROWN = LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW = EARTH

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN-YELLOW must be connected to the earth terminal which is
marked with the letter E or or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of
plug is used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.

AVANT LE PREMIER EMPLOI

Lisez attentivement ce mode d'emploi et conservez-le soigneusement pour pouvoir le consulter le
cas échéant. Vérifiez que le voltage de l'installation électrique de votre maison correspond à celui
de l'appareil. Raccordez cet appareil uniquement à une prise mise à terre.

Une légère fumée peut se dégager lors de la première utilisation. Ce phénomène est courant avec
les éléments de chauffage neufs et disparaîtra rapidement.

UTILISATION DE L'APPAREIL

Déroulez entièrement le cordon avant de mettre la fiche dans la prise. Placez l'appareil sur un
support stable, résistant à la chaleur. Vous pouvez ouvrir maintenant l'appareil. Refermez l'appa­reil et laissez chauffer les plaques. Le bouton situé sur le côté de l’appareil permet de régler la
température désirée. Les plaques ont atteint la bonne température lorsque le voyant vert s’allume.

UTILISATION DES PLAQUES A GAUFRES

Attendez que les plaques aient atteint la bonne température. Si la pâte est liquide, utilisez une
cuiller à pot pour remplir suffisamment la surface de la plaque inférieure. Si la pâte est solide,
posez-la sur la surface de plaque. Veillez à ce que la pâte soit bien répartie. Fermez l'appareil. La
pâte sera pressée maintenant dans les formes de l'autre plaque.
Lorsque les gaufres sont prêtes, enlevez-les, en utilisant de préférence une fourchette à deux
dents. Veillez à ne pas endommager le revêtement antiadhésif.

NETTOYAGE

RETIRER D'ABORD LA FICHE DE LA PRISE ELECTRIQUE.
Nettoyez toujours l'appareil après l'avoir utilisé. Laissez d'abord l'appareil refroidir complètement.
Nettoyez la partie extérieure avec un chiffon humide. Ne frottez pas le revêtement antiadhésif
avec des objets métalliques et des nettoyants agressifs.

CONSEILS NOVA

- Placez l'appareil sur un support stable et solide, résistant à la chaleur.

- Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ni dans tout autre liquide.

- La partie extérieure de l'appareil devient très chaude. Saisissez l'appareil uniquement par la
poignée.

- Ne placez pas l'appareil au bord d'une table, d'un plan de travail, etc., pour éviter qu'on puisse
le faire tomber; veillez également à ce que personne ne puisse trébucher ou rester accroché
dans le cordon.

- N'utilisez pas l'appareil si l'appareil ou le cordon sont endommagés, mais envoyez-le à notre
service après-vente. Sur ce type d'appareil, un cordon endommagé ne peut être remplacé
qu'avec un outil spécial et par notre service après-vente.

- Ne placez pas l'appareil sur ou à proximité d'une plaque de cuisson chaude, etc.

- Retirez toujours la fiche de la prise électrique avant de nettoyer
l'appareil et en cas de panne.

- Les plaques deviennent très chaudes. Veillez à ce que l'appareil se trouve hors de la portée
des enfants et soyez vous-même très prudent.

- N'utilisez pas de produit de nettoyage abrasif ou récurant.

- Utilisez l'appareil uniquement de la façon indiquée dans le mode d'emploi.

- N'utilisez pas d'accessoires n'ayant pas été recommandés pas le fabricant.

- Le cordon ne doit pas entrer en contact avec les plaques.

RECETTE (pour ± 15 gaufres)

Ingrédients :

250 g de beurre
250 g de farine fermentante
250 g de sucre
4 oeufs

Faire fondre lentement le beurre, ajouter le sucre et 4 jaunes d'oeuf. Mélanger jusqu'à obtention
d'une masse crémeuse. Battre 4 blancs d'oeuf en neige. Ajouter lentement la farine passée au
tamis et mélanger jusqu'à obtention d'une masse épaisse. Ajouter en dernier les blancs d'oeuf bat­tus en neige.
La pâte est maintenant prête à l'emploi.

VOR DER INBETRIEBNAHME

Lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung zunächst einmal ganz durch und heben Sie sie auf, um
später etwas nachschlagen zu können. Prüfen Sie, ob die Netzspannung in Ihrer Wohnung mit der
des Geräts übereinstimmt. Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine geerdete Steckdose an.

Während des ersten Gebrauchs ist eine geringe Rauchentwicklung möglich. Das ist bei neuen
Heizelementen normal und wird nach kurzer Zeit von allein aufhören.

BENUTZUNG DES GERÄTS

Das Kabel vollständig abwickeln, bevor Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose stecken. Das Gerät auf
eine stabile, hitzebeständige Unterlage stellen. Das Gerät lässt sich jetzt öffnen. Schließen Sie
das Gerät und erhitzen Sie die Platten. Mit dem Knopf an der Seite des Gerätes kann die
gewünschte Temperatur eingestellt werden. Die Platten haben die Temperatur erreicht, wenn das
grüne Kontrolllämpchen leuchtet.

BENUTZUNG DER WAFFELPLATTEN

Warten Sie bitte ab, bis die Platten die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht haben. Für flüssigen Teig
empfiehlt sich der Gebrauch einer Kelle, um die Fläche der unteren Platte ausreichend zu füllen.
Geben Sie festen Teig auf die Fläche der Form und achten Sie darauf, dass er sich gut verteilt.
Schließen Sie das Gerät. Der Teig wird beim Aufgehen in die Formen der anderen Platte
gedrückt.
Wenn die Waffeln fertig sind, entfernen Sie sie bitte aus dem Gerät. Verwenden Sie dafür
vorzugsweise eine zweizackige Gabel. Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die Antihaftbeschichtung
nicht beschädigt wird.

REINIGUNG

ZIEHEN SIE ZUERST DEN STECKER AUS DER STECKDOSE.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch. Lassen Sie das Gerät zuerst ganz auskühlen.
Wischen Sie die Außenseite mit einem feuchten Tuch ab. Bei der Antihaftbeschichtung bitte auf
scharfe Metallgegenstände oder aggressive Reinigungsmittel verzichten.

EMPFEHLUNGEN VON NOVA

- Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine feste und stabile Unterlage, die zugleich hitzebeständig ist.

- Das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten tauchen.

- Die Außenseite des Geräts wird heiß. Fassen Sie es daher bitte nur am Griff an.

- Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät nicht zu dicht am Rand eines Tischs, einer Arbeitsplatte o.ä.
steht, so daß es herabgestoßen werden könnte. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass das Kabel so liegt, dass
niemand darüber stolpern kann.

- Bei Beschädigung des Geräts oder des Kabels bitte das Gerät nicht mehr benutzen, sondern
zur Reparatur an unseren Kundendienst schicken. Bei dieser Art von Geräten kann ein
beschädigtes Kabel nur mit speziellem Werkzeug von unserem Kundendienst ersetzt werden.

- Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in direkte Nähe einer heißen Herdplatte o.ä.

- Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung oder bei Störungen immer zuerst den Stecker aus der Steckdose.

- Die Platten werden sehr heiß. Lassen Sie bitte Kinder nicht unbeaufsichtigt in der Nähe des
Geräts und seien Sie selbst vorsichtig.

- Verwenden Sie keine scheuernden oder kratzenden Reinigungsmittel.

- Das Gerät nur so wie in der Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben benutzen.

- Verwenden Sie bitte kein Zubehör, dass der Hersteller nicht empfohlen hat.

- Das Kabel darf die Platten nicht berühren.

REZEPT (für etwa 15 Waffeln)

Zutaten:
250 Gramm Butter
250 Gramm Mehl mit Backpulver
250 Gramm Zucker
4 Eier

Die Butter langsam schmelzen lassen, den Zucker und vier Eigelb hinzugeben. Das Ganze zu
schaumig schlagen. Vier Eiweiß zu Schnee schlagen. Erst jetzt langsam das gesiebte Mehl
hinzufügen und mischen, bis eine dickliche Masse entstanden ist. Zuletzt den Eischnee
hinzugeben. Der Teig ist nun gebrauchsfertig.

ANTES DEL PRIMER USO

Lea primero estas instrucciones de uso y guárdelas para una eventual consulta posterior. Controle
si la tensión de la red de la vivienda coincide con la del aparato. Conecte este aparato únicamen­te a un enchufe con toma de tierra.

Durante el primer uso se puede producir un poco de humo, lo cual es perfectamente normal en
resistencias nuevas y desaparecerá automáticamente al cabo de poco tiempo.

USO DEL APARATO

Desenrolle por completo el cable antes de enchufarlo en la toma de corriente. Coloque el aparato
en una base estable y resistente al calor. Ahora se puede abrir el aparato. Ciérrelo y deje calentarse
las planchas. La temperatura deseada se puede ajustar con el botón en el costado del aparato.
Las planchas han llegado a la temperatura adecuada cuando se enciende el piloto "verde".

USO DE LAS PLANCHAS

Espere que lleguen a su temperatura las planchas. En caso de una masa líquida, use un
cucharón para rellenar bien la superficie de molde de la plancha inferior. En caso de masa sólida,
extiéndala por encima de la superficie de molde. Preste atención de distribuir bien la masa. Cierre
el aparato. Ahora la masa penetrará en los moldes de la otra plancha. Cuando están listos los
gofres, sacarlos, preferentemente con un tenedor de dos dientes. Tenga cuidado de no dañar la
capa antiadherente.

LIMPIEZA

PRIMERO DESENCHUFE LA CLAVIJA DE LA TOMA DE CORRIENTE
Limpie el aparato después de cada utilización. Déjelo enfriar primero del todo. Limpie el exterior
pasándole un paño húmedo. No toque la capa antiadherente con objetos metálicos punzantes ni
productos de limpieza agresivos.

CONSEJOS NOVA

- Coloque el aparato en una superficie sólida y estable que además sea resistente al calor.

- Nunca sumerja el aparato en agua u otro líquido.

- El exterior del aparato se calienta bastante. Por ello, agarre el aparato únicamente por su asa.

- Asegúrese de no colocar el aparato tan cerca del borde de la mesa, encimera, etc., de que
alguien pudiera hacerlo caer; asegúrese además de que el cable no cuelgue de forma que
alguien pudiera tropezar con él o quedarse enganchando en el mismo.

- No utilice el aparato cuando está averiado el mismo o el cable, sino envíelo a nuestro servicio
técnico. En este tipo de aparatos un cable dañado únicamente puede ser reemplazado con
herramientas especiales por nuestro servicio técnico.

- No coloque el aparato en o muy cerca de una placa de cocción caliente, etc.

- Desenchufe siempre la clavija de la toma de corriente antes de su limpieza y en caso de defectos.

- Las planchas se calientan mucho y asegure de mantenerlas fuera del alcance de los niños,
teniendo cuidado también ud.

- No use productos de limpieza abrasivos o que rayan.

- Utilice el aparato exclusivamente según las instrucciones de uso indicadas.

- No utilice accesorios no recomendados por el fabricante.

- El cable no puede entrar en contacto con las planchas.

RECETA (para aprox. 15 gofres)

Ingredientes:
250 grs. de mantequilla
250 grs. de harina fermentante
250 grs. de azúcar
4 huevos

Derretir lentamente la mantequilla, añadir el azúcar y 4 yemas de huevo. Mezclar todo hasta obt­ener una masa cremosa. Batir a punto de nieve las 4 claras. Primero añadir poco a poco la harina
colada y mezclar hasta obtener una masa espesa. Finalmente añadir las claras batidas. La masa
está lista para usarla.

Durante il primo impiego la macchina può produrre un po’ di fumo. Questo fenomeno è normale,
in quanto gli elementi riscaldanti sono nuovi, e scompare automaticamente in breve tempo.

USO DELL’APPARECCHIO

Svolgete completamente il cavo prima di inserirlo nella presa di alimentazione. Posizionate l’appa­recchio su una superficie stabile e resistente al calore Ora potete aprire l’apparecchio. Chiudete
l’apparecchio e lasciate riscaldare le piastre. Met de knop aan de zijkant van het apparaat kan de
gewenste temperatuur worden ingesteld. Le piastre hanno raggiunto la temperatura di utilizzo
quando la spia luminosa verde si accende.

USO DELLE PIASTRE PER I WAFER

Attendete che le piastre abbiano raggiunto la temperatura d’utilizzo. Usate un mestolo per riempire
la forma stampata nella piastra inferiore con un impasto fluido.
Stendete eventuali impasti solidi sulla forma. Fate attenzione che
l’impasto si distribuisca bene. Chiudete l’apparecchio.

L’impasto si presserà nelle forme dell’altra piastra. Rimuovete le cialde quando sono cotte. Usate
preferibilmente un forchettone a due punte. Fate attenzione a non danneggiare lo strato antiade­rente!

PULIZIA

TOGLIETE PRIMA LA SPINA DALLA PRESA DI ALIMENTAZIONE.
Pulite l’apparecchio dopo ogni impiego. Lasciate raffreddare completamente l’apparecchio prima di
pulirlo. Pulite la superficie esterna con un panno umido. Non usate oggetti metallici né sostanze
aggressive per pulire lo strato antiaderente.

SUGGERIMENTI NOVA

- Posizionate l’apparecchio su una superficie stabile e resistente al calore.

- Non immergete mai l’apparecchio in acqua o in altri liquidi.

- La superficie esterna dell’apparecchio diventa calda. - Pertanto prendete l’apparecchio solo per
la maniglia.

- Assicuratevi che l’apparecchio non si trovi mai tanto vicino al bordo del tavolo o del ripiano, da
poter essere accidentalmente scontrato; assicuratevi anche che nessuno possa inciampare o
rimanere impigliato nel cavo di alimentazione.

- Non usate l’apparecchio se è difettoso o se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato, ma inviatelo
al nostro centro di assistenza. Il cavo di alimentazione di questo tipo di apparecchi può essere
sostituito solo presso il nostro centro di assistenza, con l’ausilio di attrezzi speciali.

- Non posizionate l’apparecchio su, o in prossimità di, piastre di cottura o altre fonti di calore.

- Togliete sempre la spina dalla presa di alimentazione prima di pulire l’apparecchio o in caso di
funzionamento difettoso.

- Le piastre diventano molto calde, assicuratevi che i bambini non possano toccarle e maneggia­tele con cura.

- Non usate sostanze abrasive o aggressive.

- Usate l’apparecchio solo come indicato nelle istruzioni d’uso.

- Non usate accessori diversi da quelli consigliati dal produttore.

- Assicuratevi che il cavo di alimentazione non venga a contatto con le piastre.

RICETTA (per ± 15 cialde)

Ingredienti:
250 grammi di burro
250 grammi di farina autolievitante
250 grammi di zucchero
4 uova

Fate fondere lentamente il burro ed unitevi lo zucchero ed i 4 tuorli d’uovo. Mescolate il tutto fino
ad ottenere un impasto cremoso. Montate i 4 albumi a neve. Unite delicatamente la farina all’im­pasto, setacciandola, fino ad ottenere una massa densa. Per ultimi unite gli albumi montati a
neve. L'impasto è ora pronto per l’uso.
