VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK

Deze gebruiksaanwijzing eerst geheel doorlezen en bewaren om later nog eens te kunnen
raadplegen. Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat.
Sluit dit apparaat alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.

Tijdens het eerste gebruik kan er wat rookontwikkeling ontstaan. Dit is bij nieuwe verwarmings­elementen normaal en dit zal na korte tijd vanzelf verdwijnen.

GEBRUIK VAN HET TOESTEL

Het snoer volledig afwikkelen voordat u deze in het stopcontact steekt. Het apparaat op een
stabiele, hittebestendige ondergrond plaatsen. Nu kan het toestel geopend worden. Sluit het
toestel en laat de platen opwarmen. Met de knop aan de zijkant van het apparaat kan de
gewenste temperatuur worden ingesteld. De platen zijn op temperatuur als het groene
indicatielampje aan gaat.

GEBRUIK VAN DE WAFELPLATEN

Wacht tot de platen op temperatuur zijn. Gebruik bij vloeibaar deeg een pollepel om het
vormoppervlak van de onderste plaat voldoende te overgieten. Leg vast deeg over het vorm­oppervlak. Let op dat het deeg goed verdeeld wordt. Sluit het toestel. Het deeg zal zich nu in de
vormen van de andere plaat duwen. Als de wafels gereed zijn de wafels verwijderen. Bij voorkeur
met een vork met twee tanden. Let hierbij op dat u de antiaanbaklaag niet beschadigt.

SCHOONMAKEN

HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT.
Reinig het apparaat na ieder gebruik. Laat het apparaat eerst geheel afkoelen. Neem de buiten­zijde af met een vochtige doek. De antiaanbaklaag niet bewerken met scherpe metalen
voorwerpen en agressieve schoonmaak middelen.

NOVA-RAADGEVINGEN

- Plaats het toestel op een stevig en stabiel oppervlak dat tevens hittebestendig is.

- Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder.

- De buitenkant van het toestel wordt heet. Pak het apparaat dus alleen bij de handgreep beet.

- Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van tafel, werkblad e.d. staat dat iemand het eraf
zou kunnen stoten; zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover zou kunnen
struikelen of erachter blijft haken.

- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het beschadigd is of als het snoer beschadigd is, maar stuur het
dan naar onze servicedienst. Bij dit type toestellen kan een beschadigd snoer uitsluitend met
speciaal gereedschap door onze servicedienst vervangen worden.

- Plaats het apparaat niet op of in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat e.d.

- Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen.

- De platen worden erg heet zorg dat kinderen er niet bij kunnen en wees er zelf ook voorzichtig mee.

- Gebruik geen schurende of krassende schoonmaak middelen.

- Het apparaat alleen zo gebruiken als in de gebruiksaanwijzing aangegeven is.

- Gebruik geen toebehoren die niet door de fabrikant aanbevolen worden.

- Het snoer mag niet met de platen in aanraking komen.

RECEPT (voor ± 15 wafels)

Benodigdheden:
250 gram boter
250 gram zelfrijzend bakmeel
250 gram suiker
4 eieren

Smelt langzaam de boter, voeg de suiker toe en 4 eidooiers. Mix dit tot een romig geheel. Klop de 4
eiwitten stijf. Voeg nu eerst langzaam het gezeefd meel toe en mix het
tot een dikke massa is ontstaan. Als laatste voegt u de geklopte eiwit­ten toe. Het deeg is nu klaar voor gebruik.

BEFORE USING

Read these instructions completely before use, and save them for later reference. Make sure the
voltage in the house corresponds with that of the appliance. Only plug the appliance into an
earthed electrical outlet.

During the first use, there may be some smoke. This is normal for new heating elements and will
disappear after a short time.

USE OF THE APPLIANCE

Unwind the cord completely before plugging it into the outlet. Place the appliance on a stable,
heat-resistant surface. Now the appliance can be opened. Close the appliance and let it warm
up. Use the button on the side to set the required temperature. The green indicator light will illumi­nate when the plates have reached the desired temperature.

MAKING WAFFLES

Wait until the waffle iron has heated up. With batter, use a ladle to sufficiently cover the lower
mould’s surface. With dough, lay it on the surface of the lower mould. Make sure that the dough
is evenly distributed. Close the waffle iron. The dough will now also be pressed into the upper
surface of the mould. Remove the waffles when ready, preferably with a two-pronged fork.
Be careful not to damage the non-stick surface.

CLEANING

FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE ELECTRICAL SOCKET.
Clean the appliance after each use. First allow it to cool off completely. Wipe the outer surfaces
with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp metal objects or aggressive cleaning agents on the non-stick
surface.

NOVA SUGGESTIONS

- Place the appliance on a stable and sturdy surface that is heat-resistant.

- Never submerge the appliance in water or any other fluid.

- The outside of the appliance becomes hot. Only hold the appliance by the handgrip.

- Make sure that the appliance is not placed so close to the edge of the table, counter, etc. that it
can be knocked off; also make sure that the cord does not hang in such a way that someone
can stumble over it or get caught up in it.

- Never use the appliance if it is damaged or if the cord is damaged, but instead send it to our
service department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord can only be replaced by our
service department, using special tools.

- Do not place the appliance on or in the immediate vicinity of a hotplate or the like.

- Always pull the plug out of the electrical socket before cleaning and in the event of electrical failure.

- The waffle iron becomes very hot, so make sure it remains out of the reach of children, and be
careful yourself.

- Do not use scouring or abrasive cleansers.

- Only use the appliance in accordance with the instructions.

- Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.

- The cord must not touch the hot waffle iron.

RECIPE (makes about 15 waffles)

Ingredients:
250 grams butter
250 grams self-raising flour
250 grams sugar
4 eggs

Melt the butter slowly, then add the sugar and the yolks of the 4 eggs.
Stir into a creamy mixture. Beat the 4 egg whites until they form stiff
peaks. Gradually add the sifted flour and mix until thick. Finally, add
the stiffened egg whites. The batter is now ready for cooking.
