Thank you for purchasing the HOLLYWOOD by NOSTALGIA ELECTRICS™ HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER! With its classic style reminiscent of the movie palaces of Hollywood's golden era, this popcorn maker will be the hit of all your star-studded affairs! It pops up to 8 cups of popcorn per batch and includes 150 reusable vinyl letters allow you to customize the marquee. With the HOLLLYWOOD by NOSTALGIA ELECTRICS™ HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER, popcorn has never tasted so good at home!

PARTS & ASSEMBLY
Your HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER comes fully assembled, complete with two 1.5 Volt flashlight bulbs. Simply attach the Top Housing to the Base and add two AA batteries (not included).

SWITCH/BATTERY LOCATION
The ON/OFF switch and battery pack are located on the back of the Marquee. The unit takes two AA 1.5v batteries and two 1.5v flashlight bulbs. Batteries are not included.
CUSTOMIZING THE MARQUEE
The unit comes with a sheet of 150 reusable vinyl letters and characters to customize the Marquee. Simply peel and stick the letters to the Marquee. If you have trouble peeling the letters, try using an exacto knife or letter opener. You can also print messages from the computer and insert the paper into the Marquee slots. Use your imagination and have fun!

HOW TO OPERATE
Before first use, clean the inside and outside of the unit by wiping with a moist, non-abrasive sponge, towel or cloth and then wipe with a non-abrasive dry towel. Make sure the Top Housing is securely attached to the Base before starting.
First, find a flat surface near an electrical outlet before
1. starting. Make sure your cord is away from any water source. It is acceptable to use an extension cord if needed.
Gather your popcorn making supplies: popcorn, seasonings, 2. bowls or bags for holding the popcorn, and Kernel Measuring Cup. Kernel Measuring Cup is included with your unit.
Plug in the appliance while switch is flipped to OFF
3. position. Remove Kernel Measuring Cup.
Turn appliance ON by flipping the switch on the Base. Allow the 4. appliance to run for about 2 minutes to heat up Popping Chamber.
While Popping Chamber is heating, fill Kernel
5. Measuring Cup with corn kernels (6 tbsp).
Turn unit OFF.6.
Place bowl underneath the opening in Top Housing to collect popcorn.7.
Pour kernels into the top of the unit and replace Kernel Measuring Cup.8.
Turn the unit ON. In no time at all, you will hear the popping 9. begin. Fresh, hot popcorn will begin to burst out of the opening in the Top Housing and into the bowl.
Once the kernels have stopped popping, turn unit OFF. 10.
Tip HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER forward to make sure 11. that all of the popcorn is out of the machine.
Always allow 15 minutes between popping sessions to allow
12. machine to cool so that it does not overheat.

HELPFUL TIPS
POPCORN
The HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER is designed for all regular and premium brands of popping corn. Yellow corn generally pops better than white corn. Organic corn is not recommended for this machine.
SEASONING
NEVER put any seasonings or oil in the Popping Chamber. Always season popcorn after it has been removed from the HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Make sure appliance is unplugged before cleaning.1.
Allow unit to cool for at least 15 minutes.2.
Remove the Top Housing from Base.3.
Use slightly damp, non-abrasive sponge, towel or cloth to wipe 4. down the inside and outside of Base, including inside of Popping Chamber, then wipe with a non-abrasive towel to dry.
Wash inside and outside of Top Housing using a non-abrasive sponge, 5. towel or cloth, then wipe with a non-abrasive towel to dry.
Wash Kernel Measuring Cup with hot, soapy water and dry.6.
Reassemble unit and store.7.
NOTE: Never place any parts in the dishwasher. Always wash by hand.
CHANGING THE BULB
To make the Marquee light up, you will need to add lightbulbs and batteries (batteries not included). Use two 1.5v flashlight bulbs and two AA batteries.
Follow the steps below to change the lightbulbs:
While unit is turned off and has cooled completely, unscrew the four 1. screws underneath the marquee using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Lift top of Top Housing to expose the bulbs.2.
Unscrew lightbulbs and replace with two 1.5v flashlight bulbs.3.
Replace top of Top Housing and replace screws.4.

RECIPES
The HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER makes hot, fresh, theater style popcorn anytime! Enjoy your freshly popped corn in a variety of ways:
Add butter and salt.•
Add a pinch of sugar, cinnamon and salt to popcorn for a sweet taste.•
Flavored popcorn – add seasoning from any gourmet popcorn seasoning kit.•
Try some of these fun recipes:•
1 Gallon = 16 Cups•
PARMESEAN POPCORN
1 Gallon of • Popped Corn
1 Tsp Garlic • Powder
3 Green Onions, • finely chopped
½ Tsp Cracked • Pepper
1 Tsp Sea Salt•
1 Cup Parmesean • Cheese, grated (more or less to taste)
3 Tbsps Olive • Oil, heated
Pop corn kernels using the HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER as directed on page 7.
Combine garlic powder, green onions, cracked pepper, sea salt and parmesean cheese. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, drizzle hot olive oil over popcorn.
Toss until well coated.
Slowly add in dry ingredients while continuously strirring popcorn until well coated.
You may also shake the dry ingredients over popcorn in a large paper or muslin bag.
TRADITIONAL POPCORN BALLS
½ Cup Popcorn•
½ Cup Corn Syrup•
½ Cup Granulated • Sugar
½ Teaspoon Salt•
1 Stick of Butter, • softened
Pop corn kernels using the HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER as directed on page 7.
Mix corn syrup, sugar and salt together in pot and dissolve over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
Add popcorn to pot, stirring and tossing consistently until popcorn is evenly coated at low heat.
Remove from heat.
Use softened butter to form balls while popcorn mixture is still warm.
Wrap individual balls in plastic wrap, tie and store at room temperature.

CHUNKY MONKEY
1 Gallon Popcorn•
1 12-oz bag • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 12-oz bag Peanut • Butter Morsels
4.2 oz bag Banana • Chips, broken into small pieces
1 11-oz bag • Peanuts
POPCORN PEPPERMINT BARK
1 Gallon • Popped Corn
1 12-oz bag Semi-• Sweet or Dark Chocolate Chips
1¼ cup Peppermint • Sticks, crushed
Pop corn kernels using the HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER as directed on page 7.
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter morsels over stove, as packaging recommends.
Line cookie sheet with wax paper.
Toss together popcorn and banana chips.
Spread popcorn and banana chip mixture evenly over cookie sheet.
Drizzle melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture over popcorn and banana chips.
Sprinkle peanuts over chocolate and peanut butter mixture.
Allow to cool.
When chocolate and peanut butter has hardened, break up the Chunky Monkey into pieces.
Can be stored in plastic freezer bags.
Pop corn kernels using the HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER as directed on page 7.
Melt chocolate chips over stove, as packaging recommends.
Line cookie sheet with wax paper.
Spread popcorn evenly over cookie sheet.
Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn.
Sprinkle crushed peppermints over chocolate.
Allow to cool.
When chocolate has hardened, break up Popcorn Peppermint Bark into pieces.
Can be stored in plastic freezer bags.
