The design is of the unit type construction, which is considered most efficient from the standpoints of is granted to the operator, since all the controls are situated so that he does not have to change his position. A wheel spindle reciprocating device can be supplied for plunge cut grinding.
Features of the new 6" Type C Machine are shown graphically in the follow ing pages. If you have special parts to be ground, we suggest that you get in touch with us. Our engineers will be pleased to give you their recommendations.

Available in live spindle or dead center arrangements. Clamped firmly to table.
Headstock
Long bearing on table. Spindle and center of large cross section. Drive can be from either A.C. or D.C. motor. Vee belt drive from motor to jackshaft. Tension of vee belts easily adjusted by tilting headstock motor base. Drive to face plate by means of fine pitch chain running in oil.
Eccentric type of take-up of drive chain. Large contact area of chain on drive sprocket and work sprocket due to absence
of idler sprocket. Work
rotation started and stopped by movement of conveniently located clutch
lever.
Center of high speed steel. Full diameter of center point hardened. Live
spindle runs in anti-friction bearings.
