This optional arrangement is available on both
the NORTON 6 x 18" and 8 x 24" hydraulic sur
face grinding machines. With its use the down-
feed of the grinding wheel is positively controlled
to increments of .0001" by providing a special
handwheel with a ratchet attached and two pawls
which alternately engage the ratchet. The wheel
