This hand operated draw-in collet arrangement
which is optional equipment for the NORTON
No. 1 and No. 2 Tool and Cutter and the No. 20
Cutter and Tool Grinders provides increased ver
satility. It is designed for use with the universal
workhead on these machines, either plain or
motor driven (as illustrated). No alteration to the
workhead is required for mounting the draw-in

collet arrangement since the device is designed

to be interchangeable with the standard reducing
sleeve furnished with the workhead. It is available
therefore for new machines as well as machines
in the field.
This device has been designed for use with No. 5
Hardinge collets which are available in a capacity
range 1 /I6" to 1" in increments of 1 /I
quickly and easily operated by a knobbed hand-
wheel at the back end of the workhead.
