Any person involved with the setup, operation, or maintenance of the
Fabius GS® or Fabius Tiro® anesthesia machine must be thoroughly
familiar with the instruction manual for this product.
2 INTRODUCTION The A-Cone Switch provides the means for switching the fresh gas flow
between two separate patient circuits without changing the fresh gas hose
connections.
The purpose of this Service Procedure is to support the installation of the ACone Switch. An Auxiliary Fresh Gas Outlet must be in place on the anesthesia machine prior to the installation of the A-Cone Switch.
3 KIT CONTENTS Inspect the A-Cone Switch Installation Kit to verify that it contains the follow-
ing:

1. Verify that the Fabius GS or Fabius Tiro machine is in ‘Standby’ mode and
all flow control valves are closed.
NOTE;
Location of the Auxiliary Fresh Gas Outlet Assembly will depend on the
specific configuration of the Fabius GS or the Fabius Tiro machine currently being serviced. The Auxiliary Fresh Gas Outlet Assembly will be
located on either the right or left hand side of the machine.
2. Disconnect hose (2600170) from the front conical connector on the auxiliary fresh gas outlet assembly. Refer to Fig. 1 for typical configuration and
identification of parts.
