IMPORTANT - Getting Started
This thermostat requires 2 “AA” size batteries (included) to operate. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly. (REFER TO PAGE 31).
Once the batteries are installed for the first time, we recommend that you perform a HARD RESET to set the thermostat to its default settings. To do so,

First, press and hold the LOCK key.

While holding down the LOCK key, press and release the RESET (R) key located above the battery compartment on the back. The LCD screen will blank out momentarily.

Once the display reappears, then release the LOCK key.
The default temperature scale is Celsius (°C). The temperature display will immediately appear and flash for several seconds. During this time, you may quickly select Fahrenheit (°F) by pressing the UP or DOWN key. Or, if left alone, the temperature display will stop flashing and Celsius (°C) will be selected.

IMPORTANT - Getting Started

It is VERY IMPORTANT you choose your desired choice of Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) before you proceed with the clock and program setting, as this is a one-time setup process. The temperature scale (°C or °F) CANNOT be changed afterwards unless you perform another HARD RESET on the thermostat. (REFER TO PAGES 17 and 31).

Pull apart firmly to remove the back cover from the thermostat. DO NOT try to pry open with a screwdriver.

Press SET CLOCK to start time setting. The time and SET symbol will flash. Use AHEAD or BACK to set the current time.

Press SET CLOCK again. The day and SET symbol will flash. Use AHEAD or BACK to set the current day. Press SET CLOCK to exit. (Or, if the HEAT mode is selected, press SET CLOCK twice to exit. If you press SET CLOCK only once, the thermostat will enter into the Humidifier Control function; refer to page 11).

Programs
This thermostat is equipped with 7 DAY PROGRAMMING. Monday + Tuesday + Wednesday + Thursday + Friday + Saturday + Sunday programming with 4 settings per day. This thermostat is pre-programmed for your convenience or you can set your own programs as desired.

This is typically for the morning when you may prefer a warmer temperature.

This is an energy-savings mode for the time you are away from home. The setting can be adjusted to minimize energy consumption.

This is for the time you return home and want the house at a comfortable temperature, typically warmer settings during winter and cooler settings during summer.

This is a sleep mode. You may choose to set temperature for energy savings or comfort as desired.

Heating Program
Press MODE until the HEAT symbol appears and press PROGRAM once. The P1 and SET PROGRAM

symbols will appear on the display.

To select the day that you want to program first, press WEEKDAY until the desired day appears. (MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN).

Use AHEAD or BACK to select the desired start time for P1.
- Program times can be set in increments of 10 minutes.
- Note: Program times are the same for heating and cooling. The times you choose here will be used for the cooling program.

Use UP or DOWN (on extreme right) to set the desired temperature for P1.
- Temperature can be set in increments of 0.5°.
- The setpoint temperature range is 5°C to 32°C (41°F to 89°F) for heating.

After setting the desired time and temperature for P1, press PROGRAM again to display P2.

Again, use AHEAD or BACK to set the desired time, and use UP or DOWN to set the desired temperature.

Press PROGRAM to display P3. Repeat above steps to set the times and temperatures for P3 and P4.

To program another day of the week, press WEEKDAY to select the desired day. Then repeat the above steps to set the desired times and temperatures for P1 to P4.
NOTE: To terminate the programming sequence at any time, press HOME.
NOTE: After the first day is programmed, you can also copy that day to any other day using the Copy Program function. (Refer to page 8).

Cooling Program
Press MODE until the COOL symbol appears and repeat the programming procedure as you would for the
heating program.
- Note: The same program times are used for heating and cooling. Therefore, any changes made
to the times here will affect the program times for the heating program.
- The setpoint temperature range is 8°C to 35°C (48°F to 95°F) for cooling.
Note: The PROGRAM key can also be used at any time to review all the set programs. To terminate
the programming sequence at any time, press HOME. Tip: Press and hold down the AHEAD/BACK or UP/DOWN key to change the numbers quickly.
Copy Program Function
This thermostat can copy program settings from one day to another using the COPY key.
Make sure the thermostat is engaged in the program setting mode by pressing PROGRAM. The SET PROGRAM symbol will appear. Select the day you wish to copy by pressing WEEKDAY. Once selected, press COPY. The COPY symbol will appear. By default, the following day will appear flashing, designating the day to be copied to. If you wish to copy to this day, press COPY again. If not, choose the desired day to be copied to by pressing WEEKDAY, then press COPY. The program settings (HEAT and COOL) from the first day will now have been successfully copied to the day selected. Repeat these steps for each day you wish to copy.

Temporary Override
To change the temperature temporarily, press UP or DOWN to set the desired temperature. The OVERRIDE
symbol will appear. The thermostat will return to the regular program at the next scheduled program time. Note: The thermostat has an automatic delay function to protect the heating and cooling systems from undesired on/off sequences. Sometimes there will be a delay of several minutes before the thermostat will activate the system.
HOLD Function
This feature is used to hold the thermostat at a constant temperature and disable all set programs until
released. Press HOLD once and use UP or DOWN button to set the desired hold temperature. The HOLD symbol will appear to indicate that the Hold function is active. To cancel Hold function, press HOLD again. The HOLD symbol will disappear and the thermostat will return to the programmed temperature.
Key Lock Function
To prevent accidental tampering of the programs and temperature settings, you can lock the keypad
using the Key Lock function. To lock the keypad, press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds. The symbol will appear. To unlock the keypad, press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds again. The symbol will disappear.
