1. The elec trical rati ng of the extension cord shoul d be at least a s great as the electri cal rating of the applia nce.
2. An extensio n cord with the powe r cord must be arranged so th at it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where they can be pulled on by chi ldren or tripped over a ccidenta lly.

20. Exercise extreme cauti on when blending hot liquid s.
21. CAUTION: Do not p rocess foo d or liquid that is hotte r than 18 0°F / 82°C. Allow very hot in gredient s to cool before processing.
22. DO NOT overfil l.
23. Extreme c aution mus t be used when moving an ap pliance co ntaining h ot food, water or other liquids .
24. When processing hot liquids, open th e pouring s pout cap .
25. DO NOT operate the applia nce empty.
26. Always allow the appliance to cool before taking of f parts and before cl eaning .
27. If the appli ance overhe ats, a thermal switch will become activated and shut o ff the motor. To reset, unplu g the appliance and let it coo l down for app roximately 10 minutes before using ag ain.
