hazardous materials should be handled
according to the regulations valid for the
vacuumed material.

If the cleaner is not working properly or has
been dropped, damaged, left out doors, or
dropped into water, return it to a service center
or dealer.
Use only as described in this manualand only
with the manufacturers recommended
attachments.
BEFORE YOU PLUG IN YOUR CLEANER,
check the rating plate at the rear of the cleaner
to see if the rated voltage agrees within 10% of
the voltage available.
This appliance is provided with double
insulation. Use only identical replacement
parts. See instructions for servicing of double
insulated appliances.
Servicing double-insulated appliances
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation
are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is
provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a
means for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing
a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and
knowledge of the system, and should be done only by
qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a
double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts
they replace. A double insulated appliance is marked with
the words:
"DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED."
The symbol (square within a square)
may also be used on the product.
This appliance conforms with EC-Directive 89/336/EEC,
93/31/EEC, 73/23/EEC,
93/68/EEC.
This vacuum cleaner can be used for household or
commercial use. Accidents due to misuse can only be
prevented by those using the machine.

WARNING !
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, please
read and follow all safety instructions and caution
markings before use. This vacuum cleaner is designed to
be safe when used for cleaning functions as specified.
Should damage occur to electrical or mechanical parts,
the cleaner and / or accessory should be repaired by the
manufacturer or competent service station before use in
order to avoid further damage to the machine or physical
injury to the user.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not leave the machine when it is plugged in.
Unplug from the outlet when not in use and
before servicing.
Do not use with damaged cord or plug.
To unplug grasp the plug, not the cord.
Do not handle plug or cleaner with wet hands.
Turn off all controls before unplugging.
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a
handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run
cleaner over cord. Keep cord away from
heated surfaces.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts
of the body away from openings and moving
parts. Do not put any objects into openings or
use with opening blocked. Keep openings free
of dust, lint, hair, and anything else that could
reduce the flow of air.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or
smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or
hot ashes.
Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible
liquids such as gasoline, or use in areas where
they may be present.
Do not allow it to be used as a toy. Close
attention is necessary when used by or near
children.

Instruction for use
Wet and dry cleaning
Do not use the machine without the main filter installed. Use
dustbag when you are picking up dry material. Remove the dust
bag before picking up liquids.
1 Start/Stop
2 How to remove the motor top
Turn off the machine and pull the plug out of the electrical outlet.
a)Press the button next to the handle, and push the handle
forward.
b)Lift the motor top by using the grip on top of the motor top.
c) Rest the motor top on a flat surface, as illustrated.
3 Installing the dustbag
Fit the opening of the dustbag over the air inlet. Make sure the
cardboard piece has been pressed all the way past the raised
bumps on the air inlet. The flap on the cardboard piece is used
to close the dustbag when it is removed. Place the motor top on
the tank. Grab the handle and push it back to its upright position,
where it locks in place.
4 Hose connection
Push the hose coupling in to the hose connection until it locks.
Press the button on the hose down connection to remove the
hose.
5 Tools
The accessories shown in the pictures may vary on different
models.
a) Wet pick-up nozzle
b) Crevice nozzle (Accessory)
Use to clean furniture, radiators and other hard to reach places.
6 Power cord storage
Wind up the cord starting at the machine. Store it on the hook on the
rear of the machine.
7 Wand assembly
Fit the sections together and twist to lock in place. Clean the
nylon inserts when needed. Separate the sections by pulling and
twisting at the same time.
8 Cleaning or exchanging filter
Turn of and unplug the machine.
a) Mainfilter: Open the filter cover by pressing the knob and
rotate the filter cover backwards. Remove the old filter and insert
the new or the cleaned filter. You can clean the filter by brushing
or shaking it, or rinse it in water. Let the filter dry before you
reinstall it. Exhange the filter when it is clogged and the suction
power is evidently decreased.
Note! Install the filter with the seal that surrounds the filter edge
upwards. Lock the filter lid by pressing with both thumbs on the
side of the lock arm as shown if figure 3.
b) Pre-filter: Remove the main-filter, the pre-filter is located
underneath it. The pre-filter is washable. Exchange it when it is
clogged and the suction power is evidently decreased.
Note! If filter a and b are cleaned with water, let them dry
before reassembly.
c) Exhaust filter: At the lower left of the filter grid there are
two indicator windows. When the filter piece that shows in the
indicatior window to the right looks dirty it is time to exchange
the filter. Remove the filter holder by pressing the button on top
of the holder. Change the filter by grabbing the filter flap and
remove it from the filter holder. Insert the new filter. Make sure
the filter is inserted correctly, the longest side down and the flap
to the right. Reinsert the filter holder and snap it in place.
d) HEPA-filter (Accessory): This filter purifies the exhaust air
from 99.99% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns.
Open the filter cover as in 8a. Remove the filter cover by pulling
one side of the filter cover upward/forward until the filter cover
comes off. Exhange the filter when it is clogged and the suction
power is evidently decreased.
Install: Push the filter into the cover as illustrated. Make sure the
hooks inside the cover grasp the edge of the HEPA-filter. Then
press the HEPA-filter forward until the hooks snap in place.
Make sure the HEPA-filter is secured under the front edge of the
cover.
Remove: Push downwards/backwards on the HEPA-filters rear
edge until it snaps out.
9 Draining the tank
When the water level in the tank reaches maximum the float valve
will shut of the air flow through the machine. You will then hear a
noticable change of the sound from the motor and notice that the
suction power decreases. When this occurs, switch the machine
off. Disconnect the machine from the power supply. Remove the
motor top according to earlier instruction (2). Always empty and
clean the tank after picking-up liquids. Allow all parts to dry
throughly before the motor top is reassembled.
a) Emptying into a floor drain: Hold the
tank by the carrying handle and grab the emptying grip located
on the bottom side of the tank. Use the emptying grip to tilt the
tank and empty it through the spout.
b) Emptying in a toilet, wash-basin, etc. : Lift the tank by the
handle. Let the bottom side of the spout rest on the edge. Grab
the emptying grip located on the bottom of the tank. Use the
emptying grip to tilt the tank and empty it through the spout.
10 Float valve
The machine is equipped with a float valve that shuts of the air flow
through the machine when the maximum fluid level is reached.
Clean the float valve when needed. Open the lid on the float valve
and remove the float body, wipe both the float valve and body with
a damp cloth.Reinstall the float body and close the lid. Note! Never
pick-up liquid without the float body in place in the float.
Always use a chemical defoamer when picking-up water containing foaming detergents. Use a defoamer recommended by
the detergents manufacturer. To achieve the best results with
chemical defoamer, add the defomer through the hose.
IMPORTANT!
The machine is equipped with a specially
designed cable, which if damaged, must be replaced by a cable
of the same type. These cables are avaible at authorized service
shops and must be installed by trained personnel.
The machine is equipped with a thermal breaker to protect the
motor and other vital machine parts from overheating. Should
this breaker turn of the machine, you will have to wait at least 510 minutes before you try to start it again. While you are waiting,
switch the machine off and unplug it, then check the hose, dust
bag and filters to be sure that nothing is blocking the flow of air
through the machine.
NB!
Remove the plug from the socket before performing service or
maintenance.

Please read these essential instructions

The WD215/225 are designed, developed and
rigorously tested to function efficiently and safely when
properly maintained and used in accordance with the
following instructions. These instructions have been
prepared with safety and efficiency paramount.
The MACHINE OPERATOR must be trained by a
suitably qualified instructor, and be made aware of the
relevant regulations and legislation currently in force at
the time of use.
CAUTION - This machine MUST NOT be used in
explosive or inflammable atmospheres or where such
atmospheres are likely to be produced by the presence
of volatile liquid or inflammable gas or vapour.
CAUTION - In no circumstances should the power
supply cord be wrapped around fingers or any part of
the operators person.
CAUTION - The electrical supply plug must not be
subjected to undue stress by pulling on the power
supply cord.
Your MACHINE must only be connected to an
electrical supply of the same voltage and frequency as
indicated on the rating plate. Ensure that the plug fitted
to the end of the power supply cord is suitable for your
supply socket, if not refer to the information contained
in 'Electrical Connections', or consult a qualified
electrician. The electrical installation from which the
supply is drawn must be maintained to current Institute
of Electrical Engineers wiring regulations.
REGULAR SERVICING and INSPECTION of your
machine must be carried out by suitably qualified
personnel in accordance with relevant legislation
and regulations. In particular, electrical tests for
earth continuity, insulation resistance, and condition
of the flexible cord should be checked frequently. In
the event of any defect the machine MUST be
withdrawn from service, completely checked and
repaired.
Trained Service Engineers will be pleased to carry
out on site servicing on a regular or as requested
basis, to ensure the continuing safety and
efficiency of your machine.

DOUBLE-INSULATED MACHINES
IMPORTANT
240 volt 50 Hz machines are fitted with a 13 amp. 3 pin moulded
plug. the plug is fitted with a 10 amp. detachable fuse. The correct
replacement for the fuse is identified by marking or colour coding.
Only fuses that are ASTA approved to BS 1362 should be fitted.
Never use the plug without the fuse cover fitted. Replacement fuse
covers are available at any electrical retail outlet.
If the available socket outlet is not suitable for the plug supplied,
the plug must be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted. The plug thus
cut off MUST BE DESTROYED for safety reasons before being
disposed of.
Machines built for other voltages and frequencies are not normally
supplied with a fitted plug.
If it is necessary to fit a plug, the wires in this power supply cord are
coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE-NEUTRAL
BROWN-LIVE
To connect the new plug:
If using a three-pin plug, do not make any connection to the the
terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the
safety earth symbol or coloured green or green & yellow. This
machine is double-insulated and no earth connection is necessary.
The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal
in the plug which is marked with the letter N or is coloured black
or blue.
The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the
terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter L or is coloured
red or brown. If the plug to be fitted does not conform to the above
notation then consult a qualified electrician.
GROUNDED MACHINES
IMPORTANT

ENTRETIEN DES APPAREILS À DOUBLE
ISOLATION
Dans un appareil à double isolation, deux isolations
distinctes remplacent la mise à la terre. L'appareil n'est
pourvu d'aucun dispositif de mise à la terre et un tel
dispositif ne doit pas être ajouté. L'entretien d'un appareil
à double isolation demande beaucoup de soins ainsi
qu'une bonne connaissance du système et ne devrait être
effectué que par un technicien d'entretien qualifié. Les
pièces de rechange d'un appareil à double isolation
doivent être identiques aux pièces originales. Un appareil
à double isolation porte le marquage "DOUBLE ISOLATION". Le symbole - (carré dans un
carré) peut aussi
figurer sur l'appareil.
Cet appareil est conforme à la directive CEE 89/336,
CEE93/31/, CEE73/23, CEE93/68.

toxiques sans filtre Hepa.
Pour manier lappareil, le sac à poussières, le
filtre et tous les accessoires après laspiration
de substances dangereuses, procéder
conformément aux dispositions de la loi en
vigueur prévu es pour les substances aspirées.
Maintenir les cheveux, les vêtements amples,
les doigts et toutes les parties du corpsà
l'écart des ouvertures et des pièces mobiles.
N'inserer aucun objet dans les ouvertures. Ne
pas utiliser l'appareil lorsqu'une ouvertu re est
bloquèe. S'assurer que de la poussiè re, de la
peluche, des cheveux ou d'autres matières ne

Mode demploi
Aspiration de la poussière/eau
Ne jamais aspirer de poussière ou de leau si le filtre principal
nest pas installé sur laspirateur. Le sac à poussière est toujours monté pour I´aspiration à sec. Pour aspirer des liquides,
retirer le sac à poussière éventuel.
1 Mise en marche/Arrêt
2 Démontage du capot du moteur
Eteindre et débrancher laspirateur.
a) Appuyer sur le bouton situé à côté de la poignée et abaisser
la poignée vers lavant.
b) Retirer le capot du moteur, utiliser la poignée de la partie
supérieure du capot.
c) Déposer le capot du moteur, comme le montre la figure.
3 Installation du sac à poussière
Passer louverture du sac au-dessus du manchon darrivée de
laspirateur. REMARQUE! Sassurer que le plateau de papier
presse les trois dispositifs délévation vers lavant contre le
manchon. Le bout du plateau de papier sert à fermer le sac à
poussière avant de retirer celui-ci de son logement. Placer le
capot du moteur sur le logement. Redresser ensuite la poignée
jusquà ce quelle se bloque.
4 Fixation du flexible
Insérer le flexible dans le manchon de raccordement jusquà ce
quun déclic signale quil est en place. Pour retirer le flexible,
appuyer sur le bouton situé au-dessus du manchon.
5 Suceur
Les accessoires illustrés sur les images peuvent varier dun
modèle à lautre.
a) Suceur à eau
b) Suceur plat (accessoire):
Pour meubles, radiateurs ou autre éléments difficiles daccès.
6 Enroulement du cordon
Enrouler le cordon en commençant près de laspirateur et
lattacher au crochet à larrière de lappareil.
7 Rallonge
Pour assembler le tube et sa rallonge, les presser lun contre
lautre et tourner simultanément pour garantir un verrouillage
sûr. Nettoyer les éléments en nylon du tube et de sa rallonge si
nécessaire. Pour séparer le tube de sa rallonge: tourner et tirer
en même temps.
8 Nettoyage ou remplacement des filtres
Eteindre et débrancher laspirateur.
A) Filtre principal: retirer le couvercle du logement du filtre en
appuyant sur le bouton, puis en rabattant le couvercle vers
larrière. Retirer le filtre, installer un filtre neuf ou le filtre nettoyé.
Pour nettoyer le filtre, le brosser et le secouer pour faire sortir la
poussière ou le rincer à leau. Laisser le filtre sécher avant de le
replacer dans laspirateur. Remplacer le filtre sil est bouché ou
si la puissance daspiration de la machine a diminué
considérablement.
REMARQUE! Le filtre doit être monté de telle sorte que le joint
sur le bord du filtre soit tourné vers le haut. Fermer le couvercle
du filtre en appuyant avec les pouces des deux côtés du bouton
douverture, voir la figure 3.
b) Filtre secondaire: retirer le filtre principal comme décrit cidessus. Le filtre secondaire se trouve sous le filtre principal. Ce
filtre peut être nettoyé à leau. Remplacer le filtre sil est bouché
ou si la puissance daspiration de la machine a diminué
considérablement.
REMARQUE! En cas de nettoyage à leau des filtres a et b,
laisser les filtres sécher avant de les remonter sur
laspirateur.
c) Filtre à air: au bas à gauche de la grille de ventilation se
trouve un indicateur composé de deux carrés. Lorsque le carré
droit est sale, il est nécessaire de remplacer le filtre. Retirer la
grille en appuyant sur le bouton du bord supérieur. Enlever le
filtre usé en le saisissant par la partie saillante, puis insérer le
nouveau filtre: le côté le plus long dirigé vers le bas et la partie
saillante pointant vers la droite. Installer la grille et lenfoncer
pour la mettre en place.
Filtre HEPA (accessoire): ce filtre débarrasse lair évacué
jusquà 99,99% des particules supérieures à 0,3 micron. Retirer
le couvercle du logement du filtre daprès la figure 8a. Pour
retirer le couvercle, tirer un côté du couvercle tout droit vers le
haut/lavant.
Montage: insérer le filtre dans le logement. Les crochets dans
la partie supérieure du logement doivent saisir les bords du filtre
Hepa. Appuyer ensuite sur le filtre Hepa vers lavant pour
positionner les crochets. Sassurer que le filtre Hepa est solidement fixé sous le bord avant du logement du filtre.
Démontage: Appuyer vers le bas et vers larrière sur le bord
arrière du filtre pour le libérer.
9 Retrait de leau aspirée
Lorsque le liquide aspiré atteint le repère de remplissage
maximal du réservoir, le clapet du flotteur arrête la circulation
dair dans laspirateur. Le bruit du moteur change et la
puissance daspiration de laspirateur diminue
considérablement. Dans ce cas, éteindre laspirateur avec le
bouton darrêt. Retirer la prise du mur. Retirer le capot du
moteur en suivant les instructions précédentes (2).
a) Pour vider sur une grille dévacuation des eaux: tenir
laspirateur par la poignée. Saisir la poignée dévacuation située
sur la partie inférieure de laspirateur sous la fixation du tuyau.
Soulever laspirateur en le tenant par la poignée dévacuation et
vider le bac par le bec verseur.
b) Pour vider dans les toilettes, un lavabo ou autre installation similaire: Soulever laspirateur en le tenant par la poignée
dévacuation et faire reposer le bord inférieur du bec verseur sur
le rebord de linstallation. Soulever laspirateur en le tenant par
lautre poignée et laisser le contenu sécouler par le bec verseur.
Toujours vider et nettoyer le bac après une aspiration deau.
Laisser toutes les pièces sécher avant de remonter le capot du
moteur.
10 Flotteur
Laspirateur est équipé dun flotteur qui arrête la circulation de
lair à travers laspirateur lorsque le liquide a atteint le repère de
remplissage maximal. Nettoyer le flotteur lorsque nécessaire.
Ouvrir le couvercle du panier du flotteur et retirer le corps
flottant. Essuyer le panier du flotteur et le corps flottant avec un
chiffon humide. Replacer le corps flottant et fermer le couvercle.
Ne jamais aspirer de liquide en labsence de corps flottant
dans le panier de flotteur.
REMARQUE! Toujours utiliser un agent anti-mousse
chimique pour aspirer de leau mélangée à un produit de
nettoyage moussant. Utiliser un agent anti-mousse
recommandé par le fabricant du produit de nettoyage. Pour
obtenir des résultats optimaux, lagent anti-mousse doit
être aspiré par le flexible.
Important!
Cet aspirateur est muni dun cordon dune conception
particulière qui doit être remplacé par un cordon de même type
en cas de rupture. Un tel cordon est disponible dans un centre
de service autorisé. Son montage sera réalisé par une personne
qualifiée. Cet aspirateur est muni dun interrupteur thermique
protégeant les éléments essentiels en cas de surchauffe. Si cet
interrupteur de sécurité arrête laspirateur, il faut 5-10 minutes
pour que lappareil redémarre automatiquement. Couper
linterrupteur et retirer le cordon, contrôler ensuite le flexible, le

Stecker verwenden. Wenn das Gerät nicht richtig
funktioniert, beispielsweise durch
Hinunter fallen, Beschädigung allgemeiner Art,
Aufbewahrung im Freien, Fall ins Wasser, unbedingt bei
einer kompetenten Servicestelle abgeben.
Gerät nie am Kabel ziehen oder tragen.
Kabel nicht in der Tür einklemmen oder
um scharfe Kanten und Ecken ziehen. Mit
dem Gerät nicht über das Kabel rollen.
Kabel nicht in der Nähe von heißen
Gegenständen liegen lassen.
Beim Herausziehen immer am Stecker
und niemals am Kabel ziehen.
Keine brennenden, glühenden,
rauchenden Gegenstände wie Zigaretten,

Keine scharfkantigen Gegenstände wie

Bei Treppenreinigung vorsichtig

Gerät nicht in der Nähe leicht entzünd-
oder brennbarer Gase bzw. Flüssigkeiten

Service von doppelt isolierten Geräten
In einem doppelt isoliertem Gerät wird eine doppelte
Isolierung anstatt einer Erdung verwendet.
Ein doppelt isoliertes Gerät ist nicht geerdet und darf
auch im Nachhinein nicht geerdet werden. Der Service
eines doppelt isolierten Gerätes verlangt extreme Sorgfalt
und Kenntnis dieses Systems. Er sollte nur durch qualifiziertes Servicepersonal vorgenommen werden.
Defekte Teile eines doppelt isolierten Gerätes müssen
durch identische ersetzt werden.Das Symbol
