IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• These central vacuum cleaners are solely intended for dry vacuuming indoors.

• Do not vacuum up liquids.

• Do not vacuum near smoke, naked flames or fire, e.g. cigarettes, matches, hot ash or flammable liquid or gas.

• Do not vacuum in areas where flammable liquids or gases may be present.

• Unplug the machine before changing the filter or bag or before doing any maintenance work.

• Always unplug the machine by pulling on the plug, not the power cord.

• The wall socket and plug must be positioned so that they are clearly visible.

• Do not vacuum up sharp objects such as broken glass or needles that could puncture the dust bag.

• Do not cover the central unit.

• Follow the operating instructions carefully. Servicing and repairs may only be carried out by an authorised workshop. Use only parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

• Never attempt to modify the central vacuum cleaner yourself in any way.

• Do not use the central vacuum cleaner if the power cord is damaged. The central vacuum cleaner is fitted with a special type of power cord that must be replaced with a cord of the same type if it is damaged. This can be obtained from an authorised service workshop. To avoid danger the power cord should be replaced by a service mechanic.

• The central vacuum cleaner must not be used as a toy.

• Never vacuum without a dust bag fitted to the machine.

• Warning! The central vacuum cleaner must not be used to clean up dust that poses a health hazard.

You should allow the hose to empty of dust and dirt before switching the vacuum cleaner off. If you use a hose with remote

control you can start and stop the vacuum cleaner using the switch on the handle.

The Palace model is fitted with a filter guard. A pressure sensor senses the difference in pressure on either side of the bag filter. If the filter or dust bag is

clogged this reduces the suction and a yellow warning lamp marked "Filter"on the control p anel lights up. You then need to clean the filter or replace the

bag. Start by removing the dust container and taking out the filter or/and bag.Shake the filter gently or replace the bag. The filter can also be washed in water.

If you wash the filter you must let it dry completely before refitting it. After cleaning the filter or replacing the bag, refit the filter/bag and container. Then press the Reset button at the panel for at least 1 second, to turn off the yellow lamp.

Vacuum valve

In order to protect the motor, the machines are fitted with a vacuum valve. This valve is located just below the exhaust outlet. When the air flow drops below the set level, for example if the nozzle becomes blocked, the valve opens to let in more air.

NOTE! The vacuum valve must not be blocked.

Servicing

Always unplug the central unit from the electrical outlet before doing any service work! If suction is poor it indicates that the flow of air through the machine is restricted. This may be due to the following:

• The dust bag is full or clogged and should be replaced.

• The filter is clogged and should be cleaned or replaced.

• The pipe system is blocked by dust or some other object.

If suction is poor: Check and remedy this immediately, otherwise the motor may be damaged.

You may need to replace the dust bag even if it is not full, as it could be clogged by fine dust. Always try cleaning the filter before you replace the dust bag. If cleaning or replacing the air filter and replacing the bag do not help, then check and, if necessary, clean the pipe system.

1) Fan unit stops, the red light flashes. This indicates that approximately 100 hour of working life remains of the present fan unit. By pressing the reset button for at least 1 second the fan unit will start again. The light will change to steady red light to indicate that the fan unit carbon brushes is running on the last 100 hours.

2) Fan unit stops, red steady light on the runtime warning lamp. Please contact suitably qualified service personnel to get the carbon brush or fan unit replaced and for a reset of the vacuum cleaner.

The Palace model has a red warning lamp on the control panel marked "Runtime". The purpose of the warning is to tell you when it´s time to change the carbon brushes in the fan unit or the complete fan unit. Warnings are given in two steps:

Filtration dust bag

Your vacuum cleaner is fitted with a filtration dust bags. The filtration dust bag is designed for bacteria, dust and debris collection. Furthermore the dust bag will trap valuable or foreign objects from entering the motor housing, protecting motor and electronic circuitry . Never vacuum without a dust bag fitted. This bag should be replaced a minimum of 2 or 3 times per annum for domestic users and 6 times per annum for commercial users.

Operating the system without the filtration dust bag will nullify any guarantee or warranty relating to the motor or electronic circuit board.

Filter

The vacuum cleaner filter is self-cleaning, but it is a good idea to clean it when you replace the dust bag or empty the container. Refit the empty container or put a plastic bag around the bottom of the machine and switch it on and off a few times. NOTE! Let the

machine stop completely before starting it again!

The dust in the filter will then drop into the container or plastic bag. Empty the container or throw away the plastic bag. A spring ring holds the filter in place inside the motor housing. To replace the filter: grasp the eye (see figure a), pull it towards the centre, and when the ring clears the edge pull straight down.

When you fit the new filter the filter ring must locate in the correct groove. The edge of the ring must be in line with the "ribs" (see figure a). If the ring is tilted (as in figure b) it will not seal and dust will be sucked into the fan motor. This could lead to rapid wear and damage. Squash the filter ring (see figure c), locate it in the groove and let it spring back into place. See also figure d for correct mounting of the filter ring.

When mounting a replacement dust bag the inlet must be mounted as in fig. a. Slide the hole in the cardboad stiffener over the nozzle. NOTE! Line the cut-outs up with the lugs on the nozzle, slide on the bag then rotate it half a turn to lock it in place.

Grip the handles on the container, and twist it to the left to disconnect if from the central vacuum unit. Disconnect the filtration dust bag and dispose of carefully. The central unit is fitted with a filtration dust bag and must never be operated without one fitted. To fit the container, just line up the dust container with the mark on the motor housing and turn to the right. See fig. b.

The central vacuum cleaner must be connected to a 220- 240 V mains socket. The machine starts and stops automatically. When the vacuum hose is connected to a vacuum socket a metal ring on the end of the hose closes the control circuit and the vacuum cleaner starts up. When the hose is removed from the socket the vacuum cleaner stops. You should allow the hose to empty of dust and dirt before switching the vacuum cleaner off. If you use a hose with remote control you can start and stop the vacuum cleaner using the switch on the handle.

Replacing/cleaning the filter

Open the lid and take out the dust bag as described earlier. The filter sits in the bottom of the container.

Never use the NILFISK Chalet entral vacuum cleaner without a filter fitted in the machine.

Grasp the filter and pull it out of the container. The filter can be cleaned by shaking it or washing it in water. If you wash the filter you must let it dry com- pletely before refitting it. The filter should be replaced about once a year, or more frequently if it becomes clogged and cleaning it does not help.

Take the new or cleaned filter and slide it into the the container. Press the outer edge of the filter down the sides of the container so that the filter bulges up slightly. Refit the dust bag and lid. Check that the lid is secured at the container.

This bag should be replaced a minimum of three times per annum for domestic users and six times per annum for commercial users. Operating the system without

the filtration dust bag will nullify any guarantee or warranty relating to the motor or electronic circuit board.

Replacing the dust bag

For replacing the the dustbag: Grasp the edge of the lid and pull upwards to open it.

Remove the old dust bag by turning the cardboard stiffener to the right or left so that the lugs on the nozzle are in line with the cut-outs in the cardboard. Now slide the bag off the bag nozzle. Line up the cut-outs in the cardboard with the lugs on the bag nozzle and slide on the new bag. Turn to lock the bag in place.

The cardboard stiffener locks the bag in place when you turn it as shown below. NOTE! The cut-out s must

line up and slide over the lugs on the bag nozzle before you turn the cardboard stiffener to lock it.

Combination nozzle for floors:

The floor nozzle has two settings for vacuuming hard floors or rugs. To change the setting press the pedal on top of the nozzle.

Small combi nozzle:

The brush nozzle is used for cleaning furniture, picture frames, etc.

EXTENSION TUBE, TELESCOPIC TUBE AND NOZZLES

Extension tube

Join the tubes and twist to lock them.

Crevice nozzle:

The crevice nozzle is useful for hard-to-reach places such as furniture and radiators.

Note!

Never vacuum up liquids, broken glass or ash.

Telescopic tube:

Adjust the length of the telescopic tube by pressing the button and sliding it in or out. (Max. length is 950 mm and min. length is 630 mm). For cleaning stairs we recommend reducing the length to the minimum.

NOTE! Accessories may vary between the various models/packages.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Has a metal object become jammed in one of the vacuum sockets and short-circuited the contacts?

Are all the vacuum sockets closed properly?

Has something become jammed in one of the vacuum sockets? Is the dust bag full or clogged? Model Palace

have a warning lamp for this. Is the filter clogged? Model Palace have a warning lamp for this.

Is the container lid closed? Is the gasket in place between the container and lid? Is it damaged? Are the vacuum pipes blocked?

Service and spare parts

Vacuum cleaner will not start

The vacuum cleaner has a thermal cut-out that may have tripped. If this happens; unplug the main power cord. Then wait for ten minutes to let the machine cool down. While you are waiting, check the hose, dust bag and filters to be sure that nothing is blocking the flow of air through the machine. Then put back the cord and press the reset button on the panel. If the cut-out trips again call a service technician. Are you using the correct hose? Only original Centra Vacs hoses have the correct fitting.

Does the vacuum cleaner start when you try a different vacuum socket? If so, there is a fault in the

electrical connection to the first socket. Unscrew the socket and check the connection at the rear.

Is the vacuum cleaner connected to the mains socket? Is there power at the socket? Is the lowvoltage lead connected to the vacuum cleaner?

WARNING!

Blockages can occur if: a) the tools and accessories are not used as directed at all times. b) wet or damp carpets are vacuumed without using the wet pick-up kit. c) foreign objects are vacuumed up when the tools are not affixed to the hose. d) the wall sockets are not kept open until the system motor stops completly e) the filter and bags are not regularly cleaned and replaced as per manufacturers instructions.

NB! Blockages are caused by misuse and are not covered by the guarantee or extended warranty.

NOTE: ALL WORK INVOLVING THE 240 V MAINS ELECTRICITY SUPPLY MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAL CONTRACTOR WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS.

Poor suction

Vacuum cleaner does not stop

The Palace model has a red warning lamp on the control panel marked "Runtime". The purpose of the warning is to tell when it´s time to change the carbon brush in the motor or the complete fan motor. Warnings are given in two steps:

1) Fan unit stops, the red light flashes. This indicates that approximately 100 h of working life remains of the carbon brushes or the fan unit. By pressing the reset button for 1 second the fan unit will start again. The light will change to steady red light to indicate running on the last 100 h of working life.

2) Fan unit stops, red steady light on the runtime warning lamp. Please contact suitably qualified service personnel to for replacement and for a reset of the machine.

The Palace model has a yellow warning lamp on the control panel marked with the text "Filter" . The lamp lights up if the filter or/and dust bag is clogged. You´ll then need to clean the filter or replace the bag. After cleaning the filter or replacing the bag, press the reset button at the panel for at least one second, in order to reset the machine and turn off the yellow lamp.

NILFISK Chalet, NILFISK Villa and NILFISK Palace is designed, developed and rigorously tested to function

efficiently and safely when properly maintained and used in accordance with the following instructions. These instructions have been prepared for your safety and must be followed.

CAUTION - This machine MUST NOT be used in explosive or inflammable atmospheres or where such atmospheres are likely to be produced by the presence of volatile liquid or inflammable gas or vapour.

CAUTION - In no circumstances should the power supply cord be wrapped around fingers or any part of the operators person.

CAUTION - The electrical supply plug must not be subjected to undue stress by pulling on the power supply cord. CAUTION - This Central vacuum cleaner is to be placed in dry areas only, the machine should not be placed in

areas were the temperature goes higher than 40o C. Your machine must only be connected to an electrical supply of the same voltage and frequency indicated on the

rating plate. Ensure that the plug fitted to the end of the power supply cord is suitable for your supply socket. If not, consult a qualified electrician. The electrical installation from which the supply is drawn must be maintained to current Institute of Electrical Engineers wiring regulations.

REGULAR SERVICING AND INSPECTION of your machine must be carried out by suitable qualified personnel in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations. In particular, electrical tests for earth continuty, insulation resistance and condition of the flexible cord should be checked frequently. In the event of any defect the machine MUST be withdrawn from service, completely checked and repaired. Trained Service Engineers will be pleased to carry out on site servicing on a regular or as requested basis, to ensure the continuing safety and efficiency of your machine.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (Only applicable to U.K) DOUBLE-INSULATED MACHINES IMPORTANT

240 volt 50 Hz. machines are fitted with a 13 amp. 3 pin moulded plug. A replacement fuse must be in accordance to BS 1362, Asta approved and have a value of 13 amp.

Important: • The fuse cover must be refitted after changing the fuse.

• In the event of the fuse cover being misplaced, the plug must not be used until the fuse cover is replaced.

• Ensure that the replacement fuse cover is the same color as the insert or, as the color embossed in words on the base of the plug.

• For replacement fuse covers please contact your local electrical store.

If the availiable socket outlet is not suitable for the plug supplied, the plug must be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted. The plug that is cut off MUST BE DESTROYED for saftey reasons before being disposed of. Machines built for other voltages and frequencies are not normally supplied with a fitted plug.If it is necessary to fit a plug, the wires in this power supply cord are coloured in accordance with the following code:

To connect the new plug:

If using a three-pin plug, do not make any connection to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter 'E' or by the safety earth symbol or colored green or green and yellow. This machine is double-insulated and no earth connection is necessary. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter 'N' or is coloured black or blue. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter 'L' or is coloured red or brown. If the plug to be fitted does not conform to the above notation then consult a qualified electrician. This appliance conforms with EC-Directives 89/336EEC, 73/23/EEC, 93/68/EEC.

• Achtung! Der Zentralstaubsauger darf nicht zum Aufsaugen gesundheitsgefährdender Stäube verwendet werden.

• Dieser Zentralstaubsauger ist ausschließlich zum Trockenstaubsaugen bei der Innenreinigung gedacht.

• Niemals Flüssigkeiten aufsaugen.

• Niemals in der Nähe von Rauch, Glut, oder Feuer wie beispielsweise Zigaretten, Streichhölzer, heißer Asche, brennbare Flüssigkeiten oder Dämpfe staubsaugen.

Vakuumventil

Um den Motor zu schützen, ist das Gerät mit einem Vakuumventil ausgerüstet. Dieses Ventil befindet sich direkt unter dem Abluftflansch. Falls die gesaugte Luftmenge unter einem bestimmten Wert absinkt, beispielsweise wenn sich die Düse an einem Gegenstand festsaugt, öffnet sich das Sicherheitsventil und läßt zusätzliche Luft einströmen.

Achtung! Das Vakuumventil darf nicht blockiert werden.

Wartung

Vor Beginn jeglicher Wartungsarbeiten muß der Netzstecker des Zentralstaubsaugers herausgezogen werden! Wenn sich die Saugleistung verschlechtert, kann dies ein Zeichen dafür sein, daß sich die Luftmenge durch den Zentralstaubsauger verringert hat. Dies kann folgende Ursachen haben:

• Der Staubbeutel ist verstopft und muß ausgetauscht werden.

• Der Filter ist zugesetzt und muß gesäubert und eventuell ersetzt werden.

• Das Leitungssystem ist durch einen angesaugten Gegenstand oder durch Staub verstopft.

Bei verringerter Saugleistung baldmöglichst die Ursachen herausfinden und entsprechende Maßnahmen treffen, da andernfalls die Gefahr von Schäden am Motor besteht. Wenn sich sehr feiner Staub im

Staubbeutel abgesetzt hat, kann es erforderlich sein, den Staubbeutel zu wechseln, auch wenn er noch nicht voll ist. Vor dem Auswechseln des S taubbeutels immer zuerst versuchen, nur den Filter zu reinigen. Falls das Problem durch Wechseln oder Reinigen des Filters oder Auswechseln des Staubbeutels nicht behoben werden kann, muß das Leitungssystem überprüft und bei Bedarf gereinigt werden. Dazu wurde ein spezieller Reinigungssatz entwickelt. Vor dem Einsetzen des Reinigungssatzes in das Leitungssystemden PapierStaubbeutel (sofern vorhanden) entfernen.

Der Zentralstaubsauger wird an eine 230V-Steckdoseangeschlossen. Der Staubsauger schaltetsich automatisch ein und aus. Sobald der Standard-Schlauch in eine Saugsteckdose gesteckt wird, überbrückt der Metallring am Schlauchende die Steuerkontakte in der Saugsteckdose und der Staubsauger wird eingeschaltet. Wenn der Schlauch aus der Saugsteckdose herausgezogen wird, schaltetsich der Staubsauger selbständig wieder aus. Vor dem Ausschalten Gerät bitte noch laufen lassen, dan it Schlauch und Rohre von jeglichem Reststaub befreit werden. Wenn Sie einen SpezialSchlauch mit Fernbedien-ung verwenden, können Sie den Staubsauger mit dem Kippschalter am Handgriff des Schlauches ein- und ausschalten.

Das Modell Palace verfügt über eine Filterwechselanzeige. Der Druck wird vor und hinter dem Filter gemessen. Sobald sich ein Filter ggf. der Staubbeutel zugesetzt hat, verringert sich die Saugleistung und auf dem Bedienfeld leuchtet eine Warnanzeige gelb auf. In diesemFall muß baldmöglichst der Filter gereinigt, ggf. der Staubbeutel gewechselt werden. Dazu zuerst den Staubauf fangbehälter abnehmen, um innen den Filter ggf. den Staubbeutel herauszunehmen. Dann den Filter reinigen oder bei Bedarf von Hand mit Wasser waschen, ggf. einen neuen Staubbeutel einsetzen.Bitte beachten

Sie, daß der gewaschene Filternur vollständig getrocknet wieder eingesetzt werden darf. Danach den

Staubauffangbehälter wieder anbringen. Durch Betätigung der Rückstelltaste (RESET) im Bedienfeld für ein Sekunde die gelbe Warnanzeige ausschalten.

Rote Warnlampe - (nur bei Palace)

Das Modell Palace hat eine rote Warnlampe auf dem Bedienpult, die mit der Bezeichnung „Runtime“ versehen ist. Zweck dieser Warnfunktion ist es, Sie darauf hinzuweisen, daß es Zeit ist, die Kohlebürsten im Motor bzw. den kompletten Motor auszutauschen. Die Warnhinweise werden in zwei Stufen gegeben:

1) Das Gebläse stoppt, die rote Lampe beginnt zu blinken. Dies zeigt an, daß die Betriebslebensdauer der Kohlebürsten oder der Gebläseeinheit noch ca. 100 Stunden beträgt. Durch Drücken der Reset-Taste für 1 Sekunde startet das Gebläse wieder. Die rote Lampe leuchtet nun kontinuierlich. Dies zeigt an, daß die letzten 100 Stunden der Betriebslebensdauer angebrochen sind.

2) Das Gebläse stoppt, die rote Lampe leuchtet kontinuierlich. Bitte setzen Sie sich mit dem entsprechenden Wartungspersonal in Verbindung, damit die Maschine ausgetauscht und rückgestellt werden kann.

Filterwechselanzeige (nur bei Palace)

Staubbeutel

Der Staubsauger ist standardmäßig mit einem Papierstaubbeutel ausgerüstet.Wirempfehlen aus hygienischen Gründen den Staubsaugernur mit diesen Papierstaubbeuteln zu betreiben. Die Modelle Villa und Palace können aber auch ohne Papierstaubbeutel betrieben werden, sofern ein selbstreinigender Filter (siehe oben) eingesetzt ist.

Filter

Der Filter des Zentralstaubsaugers ist selbstreinigend. Beim Auswechseln des Staubbeutels oder beim Ausleeren des Staubauf fangbehälters kann es aber sinnvoll sein, den Filter zu reinigen. Dazu den leeren Staubauffangbehälter wieder anbringen oder eine Plastiktüte über das Unterteil des Zentralstaubsaugers ziehen und den Zentralstaubsauger mehrmals ein- und wieder ausschalten.

Achtung! Der Motor des Zentralstaubsaugers muß vollkommen zum Stillstand gekommen sein, bevor er wieder eingeschaltet werden darf!

Dann fällt der im Filter festsitzende Staub in den S t aubauffangbehälter oder ggf. in den Plastikbeutel herunter. Danach Staubauffangbehälter ausleeren oder Plastikbeutel wegwerfen. Der Filter wird mit einem Federring am Motorgehäuse festgehalten. Um den Filter zu wechseln, die Lasche (siehe Abbildung a) zur Mitte des Filters hin ziehen, bis sich der Federring von der Kante löst und den Filter gerade nach unten ziehen. Beim Einsetzen des neuen Filters darauf achten, daß der Federring genau in seiner Nut liegt. Der Federring muß an der Riffelung eingesetzt werden, siehe Abbildung a). Wenn der Federring schräg sitzt wie beispielsweise in Abbildung b), dichtet er den Filter nicht richtig ab und der Staub wird bis in den Motor eingesaugt. Dadurch kann der Motor stark verschleißen und beschädigt werden. Den Federring leicht biegen (siehe Abbildung c), in die Nut einsetzen und ausfedern lassen, so daß er in der Nut zu liegen kommt. Sehen Sie auch Abbildung d) für korrekte Montage des Filterringes.

Staubbeutel

Da der Staubsauger mit einem Papierstaubbeutel ausgeliefert wird, ist der Stutzen bei der Auslieferung für den Einsatz mit Papierstaubbeutel wie in Abbildung a nach unten gedreht. Den Staubbeutel durch das Loch in der Kartonverstärkung auf den Stutzen ziehen. Achtung! Das

Loch im Staubbeutel sollte genau auf den Stutzen passen. Den Beutel um eine halbe Umdrehung drehen,

damit er fest und sicher sitzt.

Achtung! Sicherstellen, daß der Federring auf allen Seiten dicht abschließt. Ein fehlerhaft eingesetzter Federring kann zu Beschädigungen am Motor führen.

Bei der Verwendung des Zentralstaubsaugers ohne Papierstaubbeutel muß der Winkel von dem Stutzen geändert werden. Den Bogen am Ende des Stutzens gemäß den L-Markierungenausrichten und im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis der Stutzen waagerecht ist wie in Abbildung b

Der Staubsauger ist standardmäßig mit einem Papierstaubbeutel ausgerüstet. Dieser Staubsauger darf auf keinen Fall ohne Papierstaubbeutel einge- setzt werden. Den Deckel seitlich und nach oben abziehen.

FILTER UND STAUBBEUTEL NILFISK Chalet

Austausch und Reinigen des Filters

Den neuen/gereinigten Filter wieder an den Boden des Staubauffangbehälters legen. Die Außenseiten des Filters so gegen die Behälterseiten drücken, daß sich der Filter leicht nach oben wölbt. Staubbeutel wieder einsetzen und Deckel wieder anbringen. Überprüfen, daß der Deckel richtig fest sitzt.

Die Kartonverstärkung des gebrauchten Staubbeutels drehen, bis die Aussparungen dessen Kartonverstärkung genau auf die 2 Führungspunkte im Stutzen passen und den gebrauchten Staubbeutel herausziehen. Einen neuen Staubbeutel so auf den Stutzen ansetzen, daß die Aussparungen in der Kartonverstärkung genau über den 2 Führungspunkten des Stutzens liegen, den Papierstaubbeutel ganz aufschieben und leicht verdrehen, bis er fest und sicher sitzt.

Die Kartonverstärkung hält den Papierstaubbeutel sicher fest, wenn wie in der obigen Abbildung gedreht wird. Achtung! Die Kartonverstärkung

muß über die 2 Führungspunkte hinweg auf den Stutzen gedrückt werden, bevor der Beutel an der Kartonverstärkung gedreht wird.

Den Filter aus dem Staubsauger herausnehmen und vorsichtig von Hand mit Wasser waschen.

Bitte beachten Sie, daß der gewaschene Filter nur vollständig getrocknet wieder eingesetzt werden darf. Der Filter wird ungefähr einmal

jährlich gewechselt, je nach Bedarf - bei häufigem Zusetzen - auch öfter.

Deckel abnehmen und Staubbeutel wie vorstehend beschrieben herausnehmen. Der Filter befindet sich am Boden des Staubauffangbehälters. Der Zentralstaubsauger darf niemals ohne Filter eingesetzt werden.

Kombidüse für Fußböden:

Die Fußbodendüse kann auf Hartböden und Teppiche umgestellt werden. Zum Umstellen einfach mit dem Fuß den Hebel an der Oberseite der Düse umlegen.

Kleine kombidüse für Möbel:

VERLÄNGERUNGSROHR, TELESKOPROHR UND DÜSEN

Verlängerungsrohr

Rohre ineinander stecken und zum Sichern leicht gegeneinander verdrehen.

Fugendüse:

Die Fugendüse eignet sich am besten für schmale Zwischenräume wie beispielsweise Nischen, Ecken oder zwischen Möbelelementen.

Achtung!

Niemals Flüssigkeiten, Glassplitter oder Asche aufsaugen.

Teleskoprohr:

Zum Verändern der Länge des Teleskoprohrs einfach den Knopf drücken und die Länge entsprechend einstellen. Die Länge des Rohrs kann zwischen 950 mm und 630 mm verstellt werden. Zum Staubsaugen von Treppen eignet sich das eingeschobene Teleskoprohr am besten.

Abhängig vom erworbenen Modell und Paket kann anderes Zubehör zum Lieferumfang gehören.

Mit Borsten für Möbel, Bilderrahmen, u.ä. Mit flachen Flügeln: Polster, Gardinen, u.ä.

Verwenden Sie den richtigen Schlauch? Nur die

Originalschläuche haben den richtigen Anschluß.

Schaltet sich der Staubsauger ein, wenn Sie es an einer anderen Anschlußdose versuchen? In diesem

Fall ist der Elektroanschluß der ersten Anschlußdose defekt. Dose abschrauben und den Anschluß an der Rückseite überprüfen.

Ist der Staubsauger an die Netzsteckdose angeschlossen? Hat die Steckdose Spannung? Ist die Niederspannungsleitung an den Staubsauger angeschlossen?

FEHLERSUCHE

Der Staubsauger schaltet sich nicht ein

Der Staubsauger ist mit einer Überhitzungssicherung ausgerüstet, die sich eventuell ausgelöst hat. Das Gerät zehn Minuten abkühlen lassen. Dann die Rückstelltaste (RESET) auf dem Bedienfeld betätigen. Wenn sich die Überhitzungssicherung erneut auslöst, den Kundendienst benachrichtigen.

Falls Sie den Kundendienst brauchen oder Ersatzteile kaufen wollen, benötigen Sie die technischen Daten vom Typenschild Ihres Gerätes. Das Typenschild befindet sich am Ausgang des Netzsteckers. Notieren Sie hier die Daten Ihres Gerätes, um diese bei Bedarf schnell zur Hand zu haben:

Das Modell Palace hat eine gelbe Warnlampe auf dem Bedienpult, die mit der Bezeichnung „Filter“ versehen ist. Die Lampe beginnt zu leuchten, wenn der Filter und/oder der Staubbeutel verstopft ist. In diesem Fall müssen Sie den Filter reinigen oder den Staubbeutel austauschen. Nach dem Reinigen

des Filters oder dem Austauschen des Beutels die Reset-Taste auf dem Bedienpult mindestens 1 Sekunde drükken, um die Maschine rückzustellen und die gelbe Lampe zu Erlöschen zu bringen.

Conectar la aspiradora central a un tomacorriente 220-240 V. La máquina arranca y se detiene automáticamente. Cuando el tubo flexible de aspiración es conectado a una toma de succión, el anillo metálico en el extremo del tubo flexible cierra el circuito de mando y la aspiradora arranca. Cuando se saca el tubo de la toma, la máquina se detiene. Antes de apagar la máquina, se deben vaciar los restos de polvo y basura del tubo. Si se utiliza un tubo con mando a distancia, la aspiradora se arranca y detiene con el interruptor en el mango.

Lámpara de advertencia amarilla

(sólo Palace)

El modelo Palace tiene un monitor del filtro. Un presostato detecta las diferencias de presión antes y después del filtro de bolsa. Si el filtro o la bolsa de polvo están obstruidos, la potencia de aspiración se reduce y se enciende la lámpara de advertencia amarilla en el panel. Entonces, hay que limpiar el filtro o cambiar la bolsa. Primero, separar el recipiente de polvo y sacar el filtro o la bolsa Después, sacudir cuidadosamente el filtro o cambiar la bolsa. Otra alternativa es lavar el filtro a mano con agua. Si se

lava el filtro, esperar a que se seque completamente antes de montarlo en la máquina.

Una vez que se limpió el filtro/cambió la bolsa, montar el filtro/la bolsa y el recipiente y pulsar el botón de reposición (reset). La lámpara amarilla se apaga. El botón de reposición está situado en el panel.

Válvula de vacío

Para proteger al motor, las máquinas traen una válvula de vacío, situada directamente abajo de la boca de empalme de escape. Cuando el caudal de aire disminuye, por ejemplo si la boquilla se atasca al aspirar un objeto, y el caudal cae por debajo del nivel admisible, la válvula deja entrar más aire.

NOTA: No bloquear la válvula de vacío.

Servicio

¡Antes de iniciar trabajos de servicio desconec-tar siempre el enchufe de la unidad central! Si la capacidad de aspiración empeora, es señal de que el caudal de aire a través de la máquina se ha reducido. Esto puede tener tres motivos:

• La bolsa de polvo está llena u obstruida y es necesario cambiarla.

• El filtro está tapado y es necesario limpiarlo, o cambiarlo.

• La tubería está obstruida con un objeto o polvo.

Si la capacidad de aspiración disminuye: controlar y remediar esto inmediatamente, de lo contrario pueden producirse averías en el motor.

Aunque la bolsa de polvo no esté llena, puede ser necesario cambiarla debido a su obstrucción con polvo fino. Antes de cambiar la bolsa, probar siempre primero con limpiar el filtro. Si después de cambiar o limpiar el filtro y cambiar la bolsa el problema persiste, es necesario controlar la tubería y, si es necesario, limpiarla. Hay disponible un kit de limpieza . Si es necesario, sacar la bolsa de polvo de papel antes de utilizar el kit de limpieza en la máquina.

Lámpara de advertencia roja

Palace

El modelo Palace tiene una lámpara de advertencia roja en el panel de control, marcada con el texto “Runtime” (“Tiempo de funcionamiento”). La advertencia sirve para avisar cuándo es necesario cambiar la escobilla de carbón del motor, o el motor completo. Las advertencias se emiten en dos etapas:

1) La unidad del ventilador se detiene, la lámpara roja parpadea. Esto indica que restan aproximadamente 100 h de vida útil de las escobillas de carbón o la unidad del ventilador. Si se presiona el botón de reposición durante 1 segundo, la unidad del ventilador se pone nuevamente en marcha. La luz cambia a brillo rojo fijo para indicar funcionamiento en las últimas 100 h de vida útil.

2) La unidad del ventilador se detiene, brillo rojo fijo de la lámpara de advertencia de tiempo de funcionamiento. Ponerse en contacto con personal de servicio debidamente cualificado para sustituir o reponer la máquina.

Bolsas de polvo

La aspiradora incluye en su versión estándar una bolsa de polvo de papel. Recomendamos este tipo de bolsa porque despide menos polvo durante el vaciado. Las aspiradoras centrales Villa y Palace también pueden utilizarse sin bolsa de polvo, pero entonces debe estar montado el filtro de bolsa.

Filtros

Los filtros de la aspiradora son de limpieza automática, pero al cambiar la bolsa de polvo o vaciar el recipiente puede ser conveniente limpiar el filtro. Volver a colocar el recipiente vacío o calzar una bolsa plástica en torno de la parte inferior de la máquina. Después, arrancar y detener la máquina un par de veces. NOTA: ¡La máquina debe haberse detenido completa-mente antes de volver a arrancarla! El polvo que hay en el filtro cae entonces en el recipiente o en una bolsa plástica -si la hay-, vaciar el recipiente o desechar al bolsa plástica. Un anillo elástico mantiene el filtro en su lugar en el chasis del motor. Para cambiar el filtro: agarrar el ojal (ver la fig. a) y tirar hacia el centro, cuando el anillo se separa del borde, tirar directamente hacia abajo. Al montar el filtro nuevo, el anillo del filtro debe quedar introducido en la ranura correcta. Colocar el anillo contra el borde “estriado" (ver la fig. a). Si queda torcido (como en la fig. b, por ej.) no es hermético y el polvo es aspirado en el motor del ventilador. Esto puede provocar un desgaste rápido y la avería del filtro. Doblar el anillo del filtro (ver la fig. c), introducirlo en la ranura y dejar que se enganche en su lugar. Vea también la figura d para el montaje correcto del anillo del filtro. Bolsa de polvo

Dado que la máquina se suministra con bolsa de polvo de papel, la bolca de empalme viene montada para dicha bolsa (ver la fig. a). Calzar la abertura de la bolsa sobre la boca de empalme. NOTA: las cavidades en la placa de cartón deben coincidir con las elevaciones de la boca de empalme. Después, girar la bolsa media vuelta para fijarla de manera segura.

Hacer coincidir el recipiente de polvo con la marca en el chasis del motor y girar a la derecha. Ver la fig. c.

Colocación del recipiente

NOTA: Controlar que el anillo del filtro quede hermético contra el borde, si queda mal colocado se puede averiar el motor.

Sin bolsa

Para la operación sin bolsa de polvo, se debe cambiar el ángulo de la boca de empalme de la bolsa. Hacer coincidir las ranuras en forma de "L" de la boca de empalme con las marcas en la boca de empalme de entrada de la máquina, y girar en el sentido de las agujas del reloj. La boca de empalme debe quedar montada como en la fig. b.

Ayuda del filtro

Cerciórese de que el anillo del filtro esté sellado toda la manera alrededor de la ayuda del filtro.

Servicio

Conectar la aspiradora central a un tomacorriente de 230 V. La máquina arranca y se detiene automáticamente. Cuando el tubo flexible de aspiración es conectado a una toma de succión, el anillo metálico en el extremo del tubo flexible cierra el circuito de mando y la aspiradora arranca. Cuando se saca el tubo de la toma, la máquina se detiene. Antes de apagar la máquina, se deben vaciar los restos de polvo y basura del tubo. Si se utiliza un tubo con mando a distancia, la aspiradora se arranca y detiene con el interruptor en el mango.

Válvula de vacío

Cambio de la bolsa de polvo

La aspiradora central trae de serie una bolsa de polvo de papel, nunca aspirar cuando la bolsa de polvo no está montada.Agarrar el borde de la tapa y abrirla tirando hacia arriba.

Solar la bolsa de polvo vieja girando la placa de cartón hacia la derecha o izquierda, de manera que la elevación en la boca de empalme coincida con la cavidad de la placa de cartón. Después, sacar la bolsa de la boca de empalme. Hacer coincidir la cavidad de la placa de cartón con las elevaciones de la boca de empalme y colocar a presión la nueva bolsa de papel. Girar la placa de cartón para fijarla de manera segura.

La placa de cartón bloquea la bolsa cuando está girada como muestra la figura.

NOTA: Las cavidades de la placa de cartón deben coincidir y atravesar las elevaciones de la boca de empalme de la bolsa antes de girar y fijar la placa de cartón.

Cambio/limpieza del filtro

Abrir la tapa y sacar la bolsa de papel según las instrucciones anteriores. El filtro está en el fondo del recipiente. La aspiradora central no se debe utilizar nunca sin filtro.

Agarrar el filtro y sacarlo del recipiente. El filtro se puede limpiar sacudiéndolo o lavándolo a mano en agua. Si se lava el filtro, esperar a que se seque

completamente antes de montarlo en la máquina.

Cambiar el filtro una vez por año aproximadamente, o más seguido si se tapa o si la limpieza no es suficiente.

Agarrar el filtro nuevo o limpio, en introducirlo hasta el fondo del recipiente. Presionar hacia abajo los bordes exteriores del filtro contra los lados del recipiente de manera que el filtro quede un poco encorvado hacia arriba. Volver a montar la bolsa de polvo y poner la tapa. Controlar que la tapa quede firmemente colocada.

Boquilla combinada para pisos:

La boquilla para pisos es regulable para aspirar pisos duros o alfombras. El cambio se realiza pisando el pedal en la parte superior de la boquilla.

Boquilla con cepillo para muebles:

La boquilla con cepillo se utiliza para aspirar muebles, marcos de cuadros, etc.

TUBO DE PROLONGACIÓN, TUBO TELESCÓPICO Y BOQUILLAS

Tubo de prolongación

Acoplar los tubos y girarlos para que queden fijos.

Boquilla angosta:

La boquilla angosta es ideal para espacios reducidos, como uniones, esquinas y radiadores.

NOTA:

No aspirar nunca líquidos, vidrios rotos o cenizas.

Tubo telescópico:

Adaptar la longitud del tubo presionando el botón y regulando la longitud (máx. 950 mm y mm 630 mm). Para aspirar en escaleras, recomendamos utilizar el tubo telescópico comprimido.

NOTA: Los accesorios pueden variar de un modelo/paquete a otro.

¿Hay atascado un objeto metálico en una de las bocas de aspiración que provoca la conexión de las

espigas de contacto?

Potencia de aspiración insuficiente

¿Están bien cerradas todas las bocas de aspiración? ¿Hay algo atascado en una de las bocas de aspiración? ¿La bolsa de polvo está llena u obstruida? ¿El filtro está tapado? ¿Está cerrada la tapa del recipiente? ¿Está colocada la junta entre el recipiente y la tapa? ¿Está en buenas condiciones?

¿Están atascados los tubos de aspiración?

NOTA: TODOS LOS TRABAJOS CON ELECTRICIDAD DEBEN SER REALIZADOS ÚNICAMENTE POR ESPECIALISTAS CON PLENO CONOCIMIENTO DE TODAS LAS NORMAS DE SEGURIDAD APLICABLES.

La aspiradora tiene una protección térmica que puede haberse activado. Esperar 10 minutos hasta que la máquina se enfríe. Después, pulsar el botón de reposición (reset) situado en el panel. Si la protección vuelve a activarse, consultar a un técnico de servicio. ¿Utiliza el tubo flexible correcto? Los tubos originales son los que tienen la conexión correcta.

¿La aspiradora arranca cuando Ud. prueba otra boca de aspiración? Si entonces la aspiradora

arranca, el fallo está en la conexión eléctrica de la primera boca de aspiración. Desatornillar la boca y controlar la conexión en el lado posterior.

¿La aspiradora está conectada al tomacorriente de pared? ¿Hay corriente en el tomacorriente? ¿El cable de baja tensión está conectado a la aspiradora?

El modelo Palace tiene una lámpara de advertencia amarilla en el panel de control, marcada con el texto “Filter” (“Filtro”). La lámpara se ilumina si se obstruye el filtro y/o la bolsa de polvo. En ese caso, es necesario limpiar el filtro o cambiar la bolsa. Una vez hecho esto, pulsar el botón de reposición del panel por lo menos un segundo, a fin de reponer la máquina y apagar la lámpara amarilla.

IMPORTANTES MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ

• Ces aspirateurs centraux ne sont conçus que pour aspirer à sec et à l'intérieur.

• N'aspirez pas de liquide.

• N'aspirez pas à proximité de fumée, de flammes ou de feu. Exemple : cigarettes, allumettes, cendres chaudes, liquides ou gaz inflammables.

• N'aspirez pas dans des espaces pouvant contenir des liquides ou des gaz inflammables.

• Débranchez la machine avant de changer le filtre ou le sac ou avant de procéder à son entretien.

• Débranchez toujours la machine en tirant sur la fiche, et non sur le cordon électrique.

• La prise murale et la fiche doivent être placées de manière bien visible.

• N'aspirez pas d'objets tranchants comme du verre brisé ou des aiguilles qui pourraient percer le sac à poussière.

• Ne couvrez pas l'unité centrale.

• Respectez scrupuleusement le mode d’emploi.

• L ’entretien et les réparations ne peuvent être réalisés que par un technicien agréé. N’utilisez que des pièces et des accessoires originaux. Ne tentez jamais de modifier vous-même l’aspirateur.

• N'utilisez pas l'aspirateur si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé. L'aspirateur est livré avec un cordon d'alimentation spécial qui ne peut être remplacé que par un cordon du même type quand il est endommagé. Vous pouvez vous procurer ce cordon auprès d'un atelier de service agréé.

• Pour éviter tout danger, faites remplacer le cordon d'alimentation par un technicien de service.

L'aspirateur central doit être branché dans une prise 220-240 V. La machine se met en marche et s'arrête automatiquement. Dès que le flexible est branché dans la prise d'aspiration, un anneau métallique au bout du flexible ferme le circuit de contrôle et l'aspirateur se met en marche.

Quand le flexible est retiré de la prise d'aspiration, la machine s'arrête automatiquement. Il faut laisser le flexible se vider de toute poussière et saleté avant d'éteindre l'aspirateur. Si vous utilisez un flexible avec commande à distance, vous pouvez allumer et éteindre l'aspirateur en utilisant l'interrupteur sur la poignée.

Évent

Afin de protéger leur moteur, les machines sont équipées d'un évent, situé juste sous la sortie d'échappement. Quand le flux d'air chute sous le niveau prescrit, par exemple quand l'embout se bouche, l'évent s'ouvre pour laisser entrer plus d'air.

Témoin lumineux jaune d’avertissement Palace

Le modèle Palace est équipé d’un indicateur filtre. La pression est mesurée de chaque côté du filtre. Lorsque le filtre est encrassé ou le sac à poussière est rempli, la puissance d’aspiration est réduite et un indicateur jaune s’allume dans le panneau. Soit le filtre doit alors être nettoyé ou remplacé, soit le sac à poussière remplacé. Le filtre se lave à l’eauà la main.

Il doit être complètement sec avantd’être remis.

Après avoir lavé ou remplacé le filtre, ou bien avoir remplacé le sac à poussière, appuyez sur la touche RESET dans le panneau.

Le modèle Palace est doté d’un témoin lumineux rouge d’avertissement situé sur le panneau de commande et marqué « Durée d’exploitation ». Ce témoin s’allume lorsqu’il est nécessaire de remplacer les charbons du moteur ou le moteur complet. Les avertissements sont donnés en deux étapes :

1) Le ventilateur s’arrête, le témoin rouge clignote. Cet avertissement signifie qu’il reste environ 100 h de fonctionnement pour les charbons ou le ventilateur. Pour redémarrer le ventilateur, appuyez sur le bouton de remise en service pendant 1 seconde. Le témoin rouge cesse de clignoter, mais continue de briller, ce qui indique qu’il reste moins de 100 h de fonctionnement.

2) Le ventilateur s’arrête, le témoin rouge d’avertissement brille sans clignoter. Veuillez contacter un technicien compétent pour le remplacement et le redémarrage de la machine.

Entretien

Débranchez toujours l'unité centrale avant d'effectuer une opération d'entretien. Si la puissance d'aspiration est faible, cela signifie que le flux d'air dans la machine est entravé, peut-être pour l'une des raisons suivantes :

• le sac à poussière est plein ou obstrué et doit être remplacé ;

• le filtre est encrassé et doit être nettoyé ou remplacé ;

• le tuyau est obstrué par des poussières ou un objet.

Si la puissance d’aspiration est faible, vérifiez lacause et remédiez immédiatement au pro blème, sans quoi le moteur risque d’être d’ endommagé.

Vous pouvez être amené à remplacer le sac à poussière même si celui-ci n'est pas rempli, mais obstrué par de la poussière très fine.Tentez toujours de nettoyer le filtre avant de remplacer le sac à poussière. Si le nettoyage ou le remplacement du filtre et du sac ne produisent pas le résultat escompté, vérifiez le tuyau et nettoyez-le si nécessaire. Un kit de nettoyage spécial est disponible à cet effet. Retirez le sac à poussière en papier, le cas échéant, avant de nettoyer le système au moyen du kit de nettoyage.

ATTENTION ! L'évent ne peut jamais être bloqué.

Sacs à poussière

La version standard de l'aspirateur est équipée de sacs à poussière en papier. Pour des raisons d’hygiène nous recommandons vivement de n’utiliser que ces sacs en papier. Les modèles Villa et Palace peuvent également être utilisés sans sac en papier, mais toujours avec un filtre autonettoyant.

Avec sac à poussière

La machine étant fournie avec un sac à poussière en papier, elle s'accompagne également d'un embout, pour fixer le sac (voir illustration a). Faites glisser l’orifice du support en carton du sac en papier pardessous l’embout. Attention ! Alignez les découpes avec les tenons de l'embout, glissez le sac dessus et tournez-le ensuite d'un demi-tour pour le fixer.

Mise en place du récipient

Attention ! Vérifiez que la bague du filtre adhère bien hermétiquement tout autour du bord. Sinon, le moteur risque d'être endommagé.

Sans sac

Avant d'utiliser la machine sans sac à poussière, il faut modifier l’angle de l’embout pour sac. Alignez horizontalement les rainures en forme de L de l’embout du sac sur les marques au niveau de l’entrée et tournez dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre. L'embout peut à présent être mis en place, comme indiqué dans l'illustration b.

Filtre

Le filtre de l'aspirateur est autonettoyant, mais mieux vaut toutefois le nettoyer lorsque vous remplacez le sac à poussière ou videz le récipient à poussière. Remettez le récipient vidé en place ou ajustez un sac en plastique sur la partie inférieure de l’aspira-teur. Mettez l’aspirateur en marche et arrêtez-le à plusieurs reprises.

A TTENTION ! Attendez l'arrêt complet de la machine avant de la rallumer! La poussière du filtre est ainsi

évacuée dans le récipient ou le sac en plastique. Videz le récipient ou jetez le sac en plastique. Une bague élastique maintient le filtre en place dans la partie inférieure de l’aspirateur. Pour remplacer le filtre : saisissez la boucle (voir illustration a), tirez-la vers le centre et lorsque la bague se détache du bord, tirez-la vers le bas. Quand vous mettez en place le nouveau filtre, vous devez placer la bague du filtre dans la rainure adéquate. Le bord de la bague doit être aligné sur les « côtes » (voir illustration a). Si la bague est placée de travers (comme dans l'illustration b), elle ne fermera pas hermétiquement et la poussière sera aspirée dans le moteur, ce qui pourrait causer une usure prématurée et endommager le moteur. Aplatissez la bague du filtre (voir illustration c,), insérezla dans la rainure et laissez-la se remettre en place. Voir également la figure d pour le support correct de l’anneau de filtre.

Alignez le récipient à poussière sur la marque dans la partie inférieure de l’aspirateur et tournez à droite (voir illustration c).

Assurez-vous que l’anneau de filtre est scellé toute la manière autour de l’appui de filtre.

Entretien

• le sac à poussière est plein ou obstrué et doit être remplacé ;

• le filtre est encrassé et doit être nettoyé ou remplacé

Si la puissance d’aspiration est faible, vérifiez la

cause et remédiez immédiatement au problème, pour éviter d'endommager le moteur.

Vous pouvez être amené à remplacer le sac à poussière même si celui-ci n'est pas rempli, mais obstrué par de la poussière très fine. Tentez toujours de nettoyer le filtre avant de remplacer le sac à poussière. Si le nettoyage ou le remplacement du filtre et du sac ne produisent pas le résultat escompté, vérifiez le tuyau et nettoyez-le si nécessaire. Un kit de nettoyage spécial est disponible à cet effet. L'aspirateur central doit être branché dans une prise 230 V. La machine se met en marche et s'arrête automatiquement. Dès que le flexible est branché dans la prise d'aspiration, un anneau métallique au bout du flexible ferme le circuit de contrôle et l'aspirateur se met en marche.

Remplacer le sac à poussière

L'aspirateur central est fourni de série avec un sac à poussière en papier. N'aspirez jamais sans sac à poussière. Saisissez le bord du couvercle et tirez-le vers le haut pour l'ouvrir.

Retirez le sac à poussière usé en tournant le

support en carton vers la gauche, de sorte que les tenons de l'embout soient alignés sur les découpes dans le carton. Glissez à présent le sac de façon à le retirer de l'embout à sac. Alignez les découpes du carton sur les tenons de l'embout à sac et faites glissez un nouveau sac, que vous tournez ensuite pour le maintenir en place.

Le support en carton fixe le sac quand vous le tournez comme indiqué sur l'illustration.

Attention ! Les découpes doivent être alignées et glissées par-dessus les tenons de l'embout à sac avant que vous ne tourniez le support en carton pour le fixer.

FILTRE ET SACS À POUSSIÈRE NILFISK Chalet

Remplacer/nettoyer le filtre

Ouvrez le couvercle et retirez le sac à poussière comme décrit précédemment. Le filtre se situe dans le fond du récipient. N'utilisez jamais l'aspirateur central sans filtre.

Saisissez le filtre et retirez-le du récipient. Vous pouvez nettoyer le filtre en le lavant à l’eau à la main.

Il doit être complètement sec avant d’être remis.

Le filtre doit être remplacé environ une fois par an, ou plus souvent selon usage.

Prenez le filtre neuf ou nettoyé et glissez-le dans le récipient. Repliez le bord extérieur du filtre sous les côtés du récipient, de sorte que les filtre soit bien bombé vers le haut. Remettez en place le sac à poussière en papier et couvercle. Vérifiez que le couvercle est bien fermé.

Brosse combinée pour tout sol

La brosse polyvalente s’utilise pour aspirer les sols durs ainsi que les moquettes. Pour adapter la brosse au sol, appuyez la pédale située sur la partie supé rieure de la brosse.

Embout avec brosse pour les meubles :

L'embout avec brosse est très utile pour nettoyer les meubles, les encadrements, etc.

TUBE RALLONGE, TUBE TÉLESCOPIQUE ET EMBOUTS

Tube rallonge :

Assemblez les tubes et tournez-les pour les serrer.

Suceur :

Le suceur est très utile pour nettoyer les endroits difficiles d'accès, comme les replis, les coins et les radiateurs.

Attention !

N'aspirez jamais de liquides, de débris de verre ou de cendres.

Tube télescopique :

Ajustez la longueur du tube télescopique en appuyant sur le bouton et en faisant glisser le tube vers le bas ou vers le haut (la longueur maximale correspond à 950 mm et minimale de 630 mm). Pour aspirer les escaliers, nous recommandons de réduire la longueur au minimum.

Témoin lumineux jaune d’avertissement

Le modèle Palace est doté d’un témoin lumineux jaune d’avertissement situé sur le panneau de commande et marqué « Filtre ». Le témoin brille si le filtre et/ou le sac à poussière sont bouchés. Il est alors nécessaire de nettoyer le filtre ou de remplacer le sac. Après le nettoyage du filtre ou le remplacement du sac, appuyez sur le bouton de remise en service situé sur le panneau pendant une seconde au minimum pour redémarrer la machine et éteindre le témoin jaune.

L'aspirateur est équipé d'une sécurité thermique qui peut s'être enclenchée. Attendez dix minutes pour laisser refroidir la machine. Appuyez ensuite sur le bouton reset sur le panneau. Si la sécurité s'enclenche à nouveau, appelez un technicien de service.

Utilisez-vous le flexible adéquat ?

Seuls les flexibles originaux conviennent.

L'aspirateur se met-il en marche quand vous essayez d'utiliser une prise d'aspiration différente ?

Si c'est le cas, cela signifie qu'il y a une erreur de connexion électrique au niveau de la première prise.

Dévissez la prise et vérifiez les contacts à l’arrière de la prise.L’aspirateur est-il branché au secteur électrique ?

La prise est-elle bien reliée au secteur électrique.

2) Le ventilateur s’arrête, le témoin rouge d’avertissement brille sans clignoter. Veuillez contacter un technicien compétent pour le remplacement et le redémarrage de la machine.

Si votre appareil doit être révisé ou si certaines pièces doivent être remplacées, prenez note des données techniques mentionnées sur la plaque signalétique de la machine. La plaque signalétique est située près de l'entrée du câble d'alimentation électrique. Recopiez ces données de façon à pouvoir les consulter vite au besoin.

Toutes les prises d'aspiration sont-elles correctement fermées ? N'y a-t-il pas d'objet dans l'une des prises d' aspiration ? Le sac à poussière est plein ou obstrué. Le filtre est obstrué. Le couvercle du récipient n'est pas fermé. Le joint d'étanchéité n'est pas correctement en place entre le récipient et le couvercle. Le joint d'étanchéité est endommagé. Les tuyaux d'aspiration sont bloqués.

• Använd aldrig centraldammsugaren med skadad el-sladd. Centraldammsugaren är utrustad med en sladd av specialutförande som om den skadas måste bytas mot en sladd av samma typ. Sådan kan erhållas från auktoriserad serviceverkstad. För att undvika fara, skall el-sladden bytas av servicetekniker.

Start och stopp av aggregatet

Centraldammsugaren ansluts till ett 230V eluttag. Dammsugaren startar och stoppar automatiskt. När sugslangen ansluts till en sugdosa sluter metallringen på slangens ändstycke styrkretsen och dammsugaren startar. När slangen tas ur sugdosan så stoppar dammsugaren. Man bör låta slangen tömmas på damm/skräp innan dammsugaren stängs av. Om du använder en slang med fjärrkontroll så startar och stoppar du dammsugaren med strömbrytaren på handtaget.

Gul varningslampa - (end. Palace)

Modell Palace är utrustad med en filtervakt. Om filtret eller dammpåsen är igensatt minskar sugeffekten och då tänds en gul varningslampa på panelen. Då skall man göra rent filtret eller byta påse. Börja genom att lossa dammbehållaren och ta ur filtret eller påsen. Skaka sedan filtret försiktigt eller byt påse. Alternativt kan även filtret handtvättas i vatten.

Om filtret tvättas måste det vara helt torrt innan det monteras i maskinen.

När filtret är rengjort/påsen är bytt montera filter/påse och behållare och tryck på återställningsknappen (reset) på panelen. Håll resetknappen intryckt i minst en sekund.

Vakuumventil

För att skydda motorn är maskinerna utrustade med en vakuumventil. Denna ventil är placerad strax nedanför utblåsningsstosen. När luftflödet sjunker t. ex. om munstycket suger fast vid något, så att flödet hamnar under tillåten nivå, släpper ventilen in mer luft.

OBS! Vakuumventilen får inte blockeras.

Kontrollpanelen till Palace har två lysdiorder. Den gula lampan märkt med "Filter" tänds när filtret och/eller dammpåsen är igensatta. Då måste du kontrollera filtret /och eller byta dammspåse. Efter åtgärd tryck in resetknappen i minst en sekund, för att återställa maskinen och släcka varningssignalen.

Röd varningslampa - (end. Palace)

Modell Palace har en röd varningslampa på kontrollpanelen märkt "Runtime". När den röda lampan lyser betyder det att du skall beställa byte av motorns kolborstar eller byte till ny motor. Varning ges i två steg:

1) Motorn stannar, den röda lampan blinkar. När detta inträffar, återstår cirka 100 driftstimmar på motorn. Genom att trycka på resetknappen (resetknappen sitter på kontrollpanelen), återställer du maskinen och motorn startar igen. Den röda lampan lyser nu med fast sken för att indikera att maskinen arbetar på de sista arbetstimmarna. Passa på att redan nu kontakta serviceställe för byte av motorn alt. kolborstar.

2) Motorn stannar igen, den röda lampan lyser med fast sken. Nu måste kvalificerad servicetekniker tillkallas för att byta motorn/kolborstar och för en komplett återställning utav maskinen.

Med filter

Dammsugarens filter är självrensande, men innan tömning av behållaren: starta och stoppa maskinen några gånger. OBS! Maskinen måste stanna helt innan den startas på nytt! Dammet som sitter i filtret faller då ner i behållaren. Töm sedan behållaren.

Med dammpåse

Maskinen levereras med pappersdammpåse. Påsstosen i dammbehållaren är monterad för att passa för dammpåse. Se bild a. Påsbyte: Ta ur den gamla påsen genom att vrida urtagen i pappbrickan från upphöjningarna på stosen. Ny påse: trä påsens öppning över stosen. OBS! Urtagen i pappbrickan på påsen ska passas in i upphöjningarna på stosen. Vrid sedan påsen ett halvt varv för säker låsning.

TÖMNING AV DAMMET NILFISK Villa & NILFISK Palace

Utan dammpåse

Vid användning utan dammpåse (filter måste då istället vara monterat i dammsugaren) måste vinkeln på påsstosen ändras. Passa in de "L" formade spåren på påsstosen mot anvisningarna på maskinens inloppsstos och vrid medurs. Stosen ska nu vara monterad enligt fig.b.

För att lossa behållaren: Tag tag i handtagen på behållaren och vrid behållaren åt vänster. Fastsättning av behållaren: Passa in dammbehållaren mot markeringen på motorchassit och vrid till höger.

Montering av filter

En fjädrande ring håller filtret på plats inuti motorchassit. Om filtret behöver bytas eller rengöras gör så här: ta tag i öglan (se figur a) dra in mot centrum, när ringen släpper från kanten, drag rakt ner.

När filtret åter sätts på plats måste filterringen hamna i rätt plats och täta mot kanten runt om. Ringen placeras på kanten mot filterstödet (se figur a& d). Om ringen sitter snett (tex. enl. figur b) tätar den inte och damm sugs upp i fläktmotorn. Detta kan leda till att den snabbt slits och skadas.

Vik filterringen (se figur c) sätt den i spåret och låt den fjädra tillbaka så att den snäpper på plats.

OBS! Kontrollera att filterringen tätar mot kanten på filterstödet.

Service

Drag alltid ur centralenhetens stickpropp före allt servicearbete! Om sugförmågan försämras är det en indikation på att luftflödet genom maskinen har minskat. Detta kan bero på följande saker:

• Dammpåsen är full eller igensatt och behöver

bytas.

• Filtret är tätt och behöver rengöras, ev. bytas.

• Något föremål eller damm har täppt igen rör-

systemet.

Om sugförmågan minskar: Kontrollera och åtgärda detta omgående, annars kan det uppstå skador på motorn.

Dammpåsen kan behöva bytas även om den inte är full, fint damm kan ha satt igen den. Prova alltid att rengöra filtret innan du byter ut dammpåsen. Om det inte hjälper att byta eller rengöra filtret och byta dammpåse så måste rörsystemet kontrolleras och eventuellt rengöras.

Byte av dammpåse

Centraldammsugaren är som standard utrustad med en dammpåse av papper, dammsug aldrig utan att dammpåsen är monterad i maskinen. För att byta dammpåsen: greppa kanten på locket och öppna genom att dra det uppåt.

Lossa den gamla dammpåsen genom att vrida pappbrickan åt höger eller vänster så att upphöjningen på påsstosen passar i urtaget i pappbrickan. Dra sedan påsen av påsstosen. Passa in urtaget i pappbrickan över upphöjningarna på påsstosen och pressa på den nya dammpåsen. Vrid pappbrickan för säker låsning.

FILTER OCH DAMMPÅSE NILFISK Chalet

Byte / rengöring av filter

Öppna locket och ta ur dammpåsen enligt tidigare instruktioner. Filtret ligger i botten av behållaren. Centraldammsugaren får aldrig användas utan filter.

Greppa filtret och ta upp det ur behållaren. Filtret kan rengöras genom att man skakar ur det eller handtvättar det i vatten. Om filtret tvättas måste det vara helt torrt innan det monteras i maskinen. Filtret bör bytas ca. en gång om året, eller oftare om det tätnar och det inte hjälper att rengöra det.

Ta det nya eller rengjorda filtret och för ner det mot behållarens botten. Tryck ner filtrets ytterkanter mot behållarens sidor så att filtret buktar lite uppåt. Montera tillbaka dammpåsen och sätt på locket. Kontrollera att locket sitter fast ordentligt.

Kombimunstycke för golv:

Golvmunstycket är omställbart för dammsugning av hårda golv och mattor. Omställningen sker genom att man trampar på pedalen på munstyckets ovansida.

Borstmunstycke för möbler:

Borstmunstycket används för att damma möbler, tavelramar mm.

Förlängningsrör

Sammanfoga rören och vrid för säker låsning.

Fogmunstycke:

Fogmunstycket är bra till trånga utrymmen, exempelvis skarvar, hörn och element.

Observera!

Dammsug aldrig upp vätska, glassplitter eller aska.

Teleskoprör:

Anpassa teleskoprörets längd genom att trycka in knappen och justera längden. Max längd 950 mm och min. längd 630 mm). Vid trappstädning rekommenderas ihopskjutet teleskoprör.

OBS! Tillbehören kan variera mellan olika modeller/paket.

OBSERVERA: ALLT ARBETE MED ELEKTRICITET 230 V FÅR ENDAST UTFÖRAS AV FACKMAN MED KÄNNEDOM OM ALLA TILLÄMPLIGA SÄKERHETSFÖRESKRIFTER.

Denna maskin är försedd med en termobrytare (överhettningsskydd) för att skydda vitala delar mot överhettning. Skulle denna säkerhetsbrytare stänga av maskinen tar det ca 5-10 minuter innan maskinen kan starta igen. Under denna väntan skall du dra ur sladden ur eluttaget. Kontrollera sedan slang, dammpåse och filter för att säkerställa att ingenting hindrar luftflödet genom maskinen.Sätt tillbaks sladden. Tryck sedan in resetknappen som sitter på panelen. Om överhettningsskyddet löser ut igen, tillkalla servicetekniker.

Använder du rätt slang? Det är endast originalslangar som har rätt anslutning.

Startar dammsugaren när du provar en annan sugdosa? Om dammsugaren då startar är det fel

på den första sugdosans elkoppling. Skruva loss dosan och kontrollera kopplingen på baksidan. Är dammsugaren ansluten till eluttaget? Finns det ström i uttaget? Är svagströmsledningen ansluten till dammsugaren?

Den gula lampan märkt "filter" på panelen till modell Palace, tänds när filtret och/eller dammpåsen är igensatta. Då måste du kontrollera filtret /och eller byta dammspåse. Efter åtgärd tryck in resetknappen i minst en sekund, för att återställa maskinen och släcka varningssignalen.
