Instructions for use
Purpose and intended use
Prior to using the appliance for the first time, be sure to read this docu­ment through and keep it ready to hand.
Besides the operating instructions and the binding accident prevention regulations valid in the country of use, observe recognised regulations for safety and proper use.
This machine is intended for commercial use, for example in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, offices and rental businesses.
This machine is suitable for picking up dry, non-flammable dust and liquids.
Any other use is considered as improper use. The manufacturer ac­cepts no liability for any damage resulting from such use. The risk for such use is borne solely by the user. Proper use also includes proper operation, servicing and repairs as specified by the manufacturer.

Thermal cut-out protection
Filter
This machine is equipped with a thermal cut-out to protect the motor and other vital machine parts from overheating. Should the machine cut out, you will have to wait at least 5-10 minutes for it to automatically reset. While you are waiting, switch the machine off and unplug it, then check the hose, dust bag and filters to be sure that nothing is blocking the flow of air through the machine.
The filter/filters on selected models in this product range are manufac­tured using HEPA material. This is not a HEPA certified machine and should not be used in cleaning environments where approved HEPA machines are required.
WARNING
Do not use any unsafe work techniques.
No changes to the mechanical, electrical or thermal safety devices must be made.
This appliance is not to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
WARNING
Never use the vacuum cleaner without a filter.
CAUTION
This machine is for indoor use only.
This machine shall be stored indoors only.
Replacing bin liners, paper dustbags and plastic liners
Dustbags and bin liners are not for wet pickup.
1. Switch the cleaner off and withdraw the plug.
2. Take the motor housing off.
3. Fit the paper dustbag opening over the inlet stub.
4. For plastic liners, fold the edge of the opening over the rim of the container and under the inlet stub, ensuring that the row of ø5mm holes is in side the container. Otherwise the liner will be drawn up against the filter holder.
5. Replace the filter and the motor housing.

Electrical connection Before using the vacuum cleaner make sure that the voltage shown
on the rating plate on the vacuum cleaner corresponds with the main voltage.
It is recommended that the vacuum cleaner should be connected via a residual current circuit breaker.
Arrange the electrical parts (sockets, plugs and couplings) and lay down the extension lead so that the protection class is maintained.
DANGER
Touching a faulty mains connecting lead can result in seri­ous or even fatal injuries.
The upper section of the vacuum cleaner contains live components.
Contact with live components leads to serious or even fatal injuries.
Never spray water on to the upper section of the vacuum cleaner.
WARNING
The vacuum cleaner must not be used if the electrical cable or plug show any sign of damage. Regularly inspect the cable and the plug for damage. If this becomes dam­aged, it must be repaired by an authorised dealer.
Do not handle the electrical cable or plug with wet hands.
Do not unplug by pulling on cable. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cable.
Connectors and couplings of power supply cords and ex­tension leads must be watertight.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug in the following situations:
Prior to cleaning and servicing
Prior to replacing components
Prior to changing over the appliance
If foam develops or liquid emerges
Picking up liquids
WARNING
Do not pick up flammable liquids.
Before liquids are picked up, always remove the filter bag/ waste bag and check that the float or the water level limit works properly.
The use of a separate filter element or filter screen is rec­ommended.
If foam or liquid escapes from the machine, switch off im­mediately and empty the tank.
CAUTION
Clean the water limiting device and regularly examine it for signs of damage.

Extension lead
Appliance socket*)
As an extension lead, only use the version specified by the manufac­turer or one of a higher quality.
When using an extension lead, check the minimum cross-sections of the cable:

WARNING
Vacuuming up hazardous materials can lead to serious or even fatal injuries.
The following materials must not be picked up by the vacuum cleaner:
• hazardous dust
hot materials (burning cigarettes, hot ash, etc.)
flammable, explosive, aggressive liquids (e.g. petrol, sol­vents, acids, alkalis, etc.)
flammable, explosive dust (e.g. magnesium or aluminum dust, etc.)
WARNING
Materials picked up can present a hazard to the environ­ment. Dispose of the dirt in accordance with legal regula­tions.

WARNING

Recycling the cleaner
Electrical tests must be per formed in accordance with the provisions of safety regulations (BGV A3) and to DIN VDE 0701 Part 1 and Part 3. In ac cord ance with DIN VDE 0702 these tests must be performed at regu­lar intervals and after repairs or modifications.
Always keep the cleaner in a dry place. The cleaner is designed for continuous heavy work. Depending on the number of running hours – the dust filters should be renewed. Keep the container clean with a dry cloth, and a small amount of spray polish.

Before transporting the dirt tank, close all the locks.
Do not tilt the cleaner if there is liquid in the dirt tank.
Do not use a crane hook to lift the cleaner. Store the appliance in a dry place, protected from frost.
Our general conditions of business are applicable with regard to the guarantee.
Unauthorised modifications to the appliance, the use of incorrect brushes in addition to using the appliance in a way other than for the intended purpose exempt the manufacturer from any liability for the resulting damage.
Make the old cleaner unusable.
1. Unplug the cleaner.
2. Cut the power cord.
3. Do not discard of electrical appliances with household waste. As specified in European Directive 2002/96/EC on old electrical
and electronic appliances, used electrical goods must be collected separately and recycled ecologically.
