• BEFORE YOU PLUG IN YOUR CLEANER, check the rating plate at the cleaner to see if the rated vol ta ge agrees within 10% of the voltage available.

• This appliance is provided with double insu la tion. Use only identical re pla ce ment parts. See instructions for ser vi cing double insulated appliances.

In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a mean for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualiﬁ ed service personnel. Replacement parts for a doubleinsulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace. A double insulated appliance is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED." The symbol (square within a square) may also be used on the product.

IMPORTANT!

The machine is equipped with a specially designed cord which if damaged, must be replaced by a cord of the same type. This is avaible at authorised service centres and dealers and must be installed by trained personnel. This machine is equipped with a thermal cut-out to protect the motor and other vital machine parts from overheating. Should the machine cut out, you will have to wait at least 5-10 minutes for it to automatically reset. While you are waiting, switch the machine off and unplug it, then check the hose, dust bag (if ﬁ tted) and ﬁ lters to be sure that nothing is blocking the ﬂ ow of air through the machine.

This vacuum cleaner is designed to be safe when used for cleaning functions as speciﬁ ed. Should damage occur to electrical or mechanical parts, the cleaner and / or accessory should be repaired by a competent service station or the manufacturer before use in order to avoid further damage to the machine or physical injury to the user.

• Do not use to pick up ﬂ ammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be pre sent.

• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, mat ches or hot ashes.

• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or inﬁ rm persons. Young children should be su per vised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

NOTE! Before dry material pick-up

- All models

Dry cleaner shall always have the sack ﬁ lter mounted in the machine. Wet cleaner shall always have the sack ﬁ lter and the float system mounted when picking up dry material.

This is also valid when using a dust bag.

NOTE! Before wet pick-up

- not for GD 320

Never use dust bag or sack ﬁ lter when performing wet pick-up.

The machine is equipped with a ﬂ oat system that shuts off the

airflow through the machine when the maximum liquid level is reached. Never pick up liquid without the float body in place.

To control: Loosen the two latches at each side of

the motor top . Then remove the motor top. Check that the float basket and float valve are mounted at the motor top. Remounting the motor top: Put back the motor top to the container. Make sure that the switch/switches is located in direction towards the suction inlet. Then tighten both latches so that the motor top is properly secured. Always use a chemical defoamer

when picking up water containing foaming detergents. Use a defoamer recommended by the detergent manufacturer.

1 Starting and operating of the machine

Check that the electrical switch is switched off (in position 0). Then connect the suction hose into the suction inlet at the machine by pushing the hose forward until it snaps in place at the inlet (to release the hose from machine just push the release button downwards and then pull out the hose). Then connect the two tubes with the hose handle, twist the tubes in order to ensure that they are properly ﬁ tted. Attach suitable nozzle to the tube. Choose nozzle depending on what type of material that is to be picked-up. Connect the plug into a proper electrical outlet. Put the electrical switch into position 1 in order to start the motor. Some variants have two motors/fan units and two electrical switches - one switch for each motor.

GWD 350 & GWD 375 Adjusting the handle

The handle can be adjusted to the suitable working heigth. Start by

loosing the two locking screws at each side of the handle. Then adjust the handle by moving it upwards or downwards until the proper angle is found. Tighten the both locking screws again to secure the handle

Wet pick up - Note! Not for GD 320

The machine is equipped with a ﬂ oat body that shuts of the airﬂ ow

through the machine when the maximum liquid level is reached.

You will then hear a noticeable change of the sound from the motor

and notice that the suction power decreases. When this occurs, switch the machine of. Disconnect the machine from the socket.

See item number 2 for emptying after wet pick-up.

Craftsman versions

These variants have an extra electrical outlet for connecting an drilling

machine or other electrical tools. Max 2000W power consumption is allowed at the electrical tool to be connected. Your cleaner can then be used to pick up wooden drillings and similair materials. The electrical outlet is placed under a plastic cover at the front side of the motor top. The electrical switch have two different positions. Position I: normal operation. The machine will be shut off when the switch is placed in position 0. Position II: craftsman operation. The extra electrical outlet is activated in this position. The vacuum cleaner is now started by ﬁ rst connecting an electrical tool to the electrical outlet and then starting the electrical tool. When the electrical tool is shut off the vacuum cleaner has 10 seconds delayed shut off. The meaning of the delay is to ensure that the cleaner has time to pick-up the material.

2 Emptying after wet pick-up - Not GD 320

Before emptying the container, unplug the vacuum cleaner. Always empty and clean the container and the ﬂ oat system after picking-up liquids. Never pick up liquid without the ﬂ oat system installed in the machine.

Emptying GWD 320 GWD 335

2a) Release the latch by pulling the lower parts outwards so that

the motor top is released. Lift up the motor top. 2b) Disconnect the hose from the inlet by pressing the button on the hose connection downwards. Then pull out the hose. 2c) Empty by tilting the container backwards and pour the liquids into a ﬂ oor drain or similar. Wipe the ﬂ oat valve and ﬂ oat basket with a damp cloth before the motor top is reinstalled to the container.

2d) Wipe the ﬂ oat valve and the ﬂ oat basket with a damp cloth. 2e) Put back the motor top to the container. Secure with the latches.

Emptying: GWD 350 GWD 375

2f) Drain hose: GWD 350 (optional) and GWD 375 have a draining

hose. Detach the drain hose from the bracket by pulling hose backwards from the cleaner. Place the drain hose end near a ﬂ oor drain and then remove the plug at hose end. The natural pressure will then drain the liquids from the container. 2g) Emptying from the container: Pull the upper parts of the latches outwards and release the motor top. Remove the motor top. The suction hose can be attached during emptying from the container. Grasp with one hand at the handle at the lower part of the container. To avoid movement of the trolley - place one foot at the basepart of the trolley. Then tilt the container backwards and pour the liquids into a ﬂ oor drain or similar.

2h) Wipe the ﬂ oat valve and the ﬂ oat basket with a damp cloth. 2i) Put back the motor top to the container. Make sure that the switch/

switches is located in direction towards the suction inlet. Secure with the latches.

3 Emptying after dry pick-up - all models

Remove the plug from the socket before emptying after dry pick-up. Check the filters and dustbag regularly.

Release the latches by pulling them outwards so that the motor top is released. Lift up the motor top from container. Cartridge filter: To clean the filter you can either shake, brush or wash it. Wait until it is dry before you reuse it. Check the motor filter, replace it if it is clogged. Sackfilter:Grasp the sackfilter and lift it up from cleaner. Shake filter so that all dust is removed from the filter. Dustbag: check bag to ensure the ﬁ ll factor. Replace dust bag if necessary. Remove the old bag. The new bag is ﬁ tted by passing the carboard piece with the rubber membrane through the vacuum inlet. Make sure that the rubber membrane is passing past the heightening at the vacuum inlet. After emptying: Put back the motor top to the container. Make sure that the switch/switches is located in direction towards the suction inlet. Secure with the latches. Never pick up dry material without sackﬁ lter or dustbag ﬁ tted in the machine. The suction efﬁ ciency of the vacuum cleaner depends on the size and quality of the ﬁ lter and dust bag. Therefore - use only Original ﬁ lter and dust bags.

4 Maintenance of the ﬂ oat system - not GD 320

Remove the plug from the socket before performing maintenance. Always empty and clean the container and the ﬂ oat system after picking-up liquids. 4a) Release the latch by pulling them outwards so that the motor top

is released. Lift up motor top from container. Turn the motor top to upside down position. 4b)Then loosen the float basket by turning the basket to the left. Remove the complete float system from motor top. 4c) A ﬁ lter is located in front of the motor inlet. Check this motor ﬁ lter and HEPA-ﬁ lter (if ﬁ tted). Replace to new ﬁ lter if ﬁ lter is clogged. 4d) Wipe the ﬂ oat valve and ﬂ oat basket with a damp cloth before the motor top is reinstalled to the container. Then reinstall the ﬂ oat valve to the ﬂ oat basket. Make sure that the sealed surface of the ﬂ oat valve is installed upwards in direction towards the motor top. 4e) To mount the ﬂ oat basket - ﬁ t the arrow at the basket to the arrow at the motor top. Then secure the ﬂ oat basket by turning it to the right.

5 After use

Remove the plug from the socket when machine is not in use. Wind up the cord starting from the machine. The power cord can be wound up around the handle/hooks located on the motor top. Some variants have special storage places for accessories.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

THIS VACUUM CLEANER is designed, developed and rigorously tested to function efﬁ ciently and safely when properly maintained and used in accordance with the following instructions. These instructions have been prepared with safety and efﬁ ciency paramount.

THE MACHINE OPERATOR must be trained by a suitably qualiﬁ ed instructor and must understand these instructions for use, and be made aware of any relevant regulations and legislation in force at the time of use.

CAUTION - This machine is not suitable for use in explosive or inﬂ ammable atmospheres or where such atmospheres are likely to be produced by the presence of volatile liquid or inﬂ ammable gas or vapour.

CAUTION - In no circumstances should the power supply cord be wrapped around ﬁ ngers or any part of the operators person.

CAUTION - The electrical supply plug must not be subjected to undue stress by pulling on the power supply cord. Your MACHINE must only be connected to an electrical supply of the same voltage and frequency as indicated on the rating plate. Ensure that the plug ﬁ tted to the end of the power supply cord is suitable for your supply socket, if not refer to the information contained in ‘Electrical Connections’, or consult a qualiﬁ ed electrician. The electrical installation from which the supply is drawn must be maintained to current Institute of Electrical Engineers wiring regulations.

REGULAR SERVICING AND INSPECTION of your

machine must be carried out by suitably qualiﬁ ed personnel in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations. In particular, electrical tests for earth continuity, insulation resistance, and condition of the ﬂ exible cord should be checked frequently.

In the event of any defect, the machine MUST be withdrawn from service, completely checked and repaired. Trained Service Engineers will be pleased to carry out on site servicing on a regular or as requested basis, to ensure the continuing safety and efﬁ ciency of your machine.

This 240 volt 50 Hz. machine are ﬁ tted with a 13 amp. 3 pin moulded plug. The plug is ﬁ tted with a 13 amp. detachable fuse. The correct replacement for the fuse is identiﬁ ed by marking or colour coding. Only fuses that are ASTA approved to BS 1362 should be ﬁ tted. Never use the plug without the fuse cover ﬁ tted. Replacement fuse covers are available at any electrical retail outlet. If the available socket outlet is not suitable for the plug supplied, the plug must be cut off and an appropriate plug ﬁ tted. The plug thus cut off MUST BE DESTROYED for safety reasons before being disposed of. Machines built for other voltages and frequencies are not normally supplied with a ﬁ tted plug. If it is necessary to ﬁ t a plug, the wires in this power supply cord are coloured in accordance with the following code:

BLUE-NEUTRAL BROWN-LIVE

TO CONNECT THE NEW PLUG:

If using a three-pin plug, do not make any connection to the the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter ‘E’ or by the safety earth symbol or coloured green or green & yellow. This machine is double-insulated and no earth connection is necessary. The blue wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter ‘N’ or is coloured black or blue. The brown wire which must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter ‘L’ or is coloured red or brown. If the plug to be ﬁ tted does not conform to the above notation then consult a qualiﬁ ed electrician.

In einem doppelt isoliertem Gerät wird eine doppelte Isolierung anstatt einer Erdung verwendet. Ein doppelt isoliertes Gerät ist nicht geerdet und darf auch im Nachhinein nicht geerdet werden. Der Service eines doppelt isolierten Gerätes verlangt extreme Sorgfalt und Kenntnis dieses Systems. Er sollte nur durch qualiﬁ ziertes Ser vi ce per so nal vor ge nom men werden. Defekte Teile eines doppelt isolierten Gerätes müssen durch identische ersetzt werden.Das Symbol (Quadrat in einem Quadrat) ist auf dem Typenschild vermerkt.

WICHTIG!

Dieses Gerät ist mit einem Spezialkabel versehen, das bei Beschädigung gegen ein entsprechendes Kabel derselben Ausführung ausgewechselt werden muß. Dieses Kabel ist bei autorisierten Kundendienststellen erhältlich und muß von einem Fachmann montiert werden.

Dieses Gerät ist mit einem Thermo-Schutzschalter versehen, der die vitalen Teile gegen Überhitzung schützt. Sollte dieser Sicherheitsschalter das Gerät ausschalten, so dauert es ca. 5-10 Minuten bis das Gerät wieder automatisch startet. Kontrollieren Sie während dieser Zeit den Schlauch, den Einsatzbeutel und den Filter um sicherzustellen, daß der Luftdurchfluß durch die Maschine nicht behindert ist.

Vor Beginn der Service- und Wartungsarbeiten immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.

WICHTIGER HINWEIS

ACHTUNG! Vor dem Trockensaugen – alle Modelle

Beim Trockensaugen muss immer der Beutelﬁ lter am Gerät montiert sein. Beim Nasssaugen müssen immer der Beutelfilter und das Schwimmersystem montiert sein, wenn Flüssigkeiten aufgesaugt werden. Dies gilt auch bei der Verwendung eines Staubbeutels

ACHTUNG! Vor dem Nasssaugen – nicht für GD 320

Verwenden Sie beim Nasssaugen niemals einen Staubbeutel oder ein Vorﬁ lter. Das Gerät ist mit einem Schwimmersystem ausgestattet, das den Luftstrom im Gerät unterbindet, sobald der maximale Flüssigkeitspegel erreicht ist. Saugen Sie niemals Flüssigkeiten auf, wenn der Schwimmkörper nicht montiert ist. Kontrollieren: Lösen Sie als erstes die zwei Schnappverschlüsse auf beiden Seiten der Motorabdeckung. Entfernen Sie anschließend die Motorabdeckung. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schwimmerkorb und das Schwimmerventil in der Motorabdeckung montiert sind. Montage der Motorabdeckung: Setzen Sie die Motorabdeckung wieder auf den Behälter auf. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schalter/die Schalter in Richtung Einsaugstutzen positioniert sind. Lassen Sie beide Schnappverschlüsse einschnappen, damit die Motorabdeckung richtig fest sitzt. Beim Aufsaugen von Wasser, in dem sich schäumende

Reinigungsmittel beﬁ nden, stets Antischaummittel einsetzen. Das vom Reinigungsmittel-Hersteller empfohlene Antischaummittel verwenden.

1 Starten und Bedienen des Geräts

Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist (Schalter steht auf Position 0). Setzen Sie nun den Schlauch in den Schlauchstutzen am Gerät ein, indem Sie den Schlauch in die Öffnung eindrücken, bis er einrastet (zum Lösen des Schlauchs vom Gerät den Knopf eindrücken und den Schlauch herausziehen). Montieren Sie die beiden Rohre am Schlauchgriff, drehen Sie die Rohre, um sicherzustellen, dass sie richtig einrasten. Befestigen Sie die gewünschte Düse am Rohr. Wählen Sie die Düse entsprechend dem Material, das aufgesaugt werden soll. Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose. Stellen Sie den Schalter auf Position 1, um den Motor zu starten. Einige Modelle haben zwei Motoren/Gebläseeinheiten und zwei Schalter

– einen Schalter für jeden Motor.

Um die richtige Arbeitshöhe zu erhalten, kann der Griff verstellt werden. Lösen Sie als erstes die zwei Schnellverschlüsse auf beiden Seiten des Griffs. Justieren Sie anschließend den Griff, indem Sie ihn nach oben oder unten verschieben, bis der richtige Winkel erreicht ist. Ziehen Sie die beiden Schnellverschlüsse wieder an, damit der Griff fest sitzt.

Nasssaugen – nicht für GD 320

Das Gerät ist mit einem Schwimmerkörper ausgestattet, der den Luftstrom durch die Maschine unterbricht, wenn der maximale Flüssigkeitspegel erreicht ist. Das Motorgeräusch verändert sich merklich, und die Saugkraft des Geräts wird deutlich reduziert. Wenn dies eintritt, schalten Sie das Gerät aus. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Siehe Punkt 2 zum Entleeren nach

dem Nasssaugen.

Proﬁ -Modelle

Diese Modelle sind mit einem zusätzlichen Elektroanschluss zum Anschließen einer Bohrmaschine oder eines anderen Elektrowerkzeugs ausgestattet. Maximale 2000W Leistungsaufnahme wird am elektrischen Werkzeug an das Reinigungsmittel angeschlossen werden lassen Ihr Sauger kann somit zum Aufnehmen von Sägespänen oder anderen Partikeln verwendet werden. Der Elektroanschluss sitzt unter einer Kunststoffabdeckung an der Vorderseite der Motorabdeckung. Der Elektroschalter hat zwei Positionen.

Position I: Normalbetrieb. Das Gerät geht aus, wenn der Schalter auf Position 0 gestellt wird. Position II: Proﬁ -Betrieb. In dieser Position ist der Elektroanschluss aktiviert. Der Staubsauger wird nun gestartet, indem zuerst ein Elektrowerkzeug an den Elektroanschluss angeschlossen und anschließend das Elektrowerkzeug gestartet wird. Wenn das Elektrowerkzeug ausgeschaltet wird, schaltet sich der Staubsauger mit einer Verzögerung von 10 Sekunden ebenfalls aus. Durch die Verzögerung wird sichergestellt, dass das Gerät genug Zeit hat, die Partikel aufzusaugen.

2 Leeren des Saugers nach Nasssaugen – nicht GD 320

Vor dem Entleeren des Behälters den Netzstecker ziehen. Nach dem Nasssaugen immer den Behälter und das Schwimmersystem entleeren und säubern. Saugen Sie niemals Flüssigkeiten auf, wenn das Schwimmersystem nicht im Gerät montiert ist.

Entleeren von GWD 320 GWD 335

2a) Lösen Sie die Schnappverschlüsse, indem Sie die Unterteile nach

außen ziehen, damit die Motorabdeckung gelöst wird. Heben Sie die Motorabdeckung ab. 2b) Ziehen Sie den Schlauch vom Einsaugstutzen ab, indem Sie den Knopf auf dem Schlauchanschluss eindrücken. Ziehen Sie anschließend den Schlauch heraus. 2c) Entleeren Sie den Behälter, indem Sie diesen nach hinten kippen und die Flüssigkeit in einen Bodenabﬂ uss oder ähnliches gießen. Säubern Sie das Schwimmerventil und den Schwimmerkorb mit einem feuchten Tuch, bevor die Motorabdeckung wieder auf dem Behälter montiert wird. 2d) Wischen Sie das Schwimmerventil und den Schwimmerkorb mit einem feuchten Tuch ab. 2e) Setzen Sie die Motorabdeckung wieder auf den Behälter auf. Lassen Sie die Verschlüsse einrasten.

Entleeren von GWD 350 GWD 375

2f) Entleerungsschlauch: GWD 350 (optional) und GWD 375 sind mit einem

Entleerungsschlauch ausgestattet. Lösen Sie den Entleerungsschlauch aus der Halterung, indem Sie ihn nach hinten vom Gerät abziehen. Platzieren Sie den Entleerungsschlauch in der Nähe eines Bodenablaufs, und entfernen Sie dann den Verschluss am Schlauchende. Der natürliche Druck sorgt dafür, dass die Flüssigkeit aus dem Behälter ausläuft. 2g) Entleeren vom Behälter aus: Ziehen Sie die Oberteile der Schnappverschlüsse nach außen, und lösen Sie die Motorabdeckung. Entfernen Sie die Motorabdeckung. Der Schlauch kann während des Entleerens des Behälters angeschlossen sein. Heben Sie das Gerät am Trageriff an der Unterseite des Behälters an. Stellen Sie einen Fuß auf das Unterteil des Wagens, damit dieser sich nicht bewegt. Kippen Sie anschließend den Behälter nach hinten und gießen Sie die Flüssigkeit in einen Bodenabﬂ uss oder ähnliches. 2h) Wischen Sie das Schwimmerventil und den Schwimmerkorb mit einem feuchten Tuch ab. 2i) Setzen Sie die Motorabdeckung wieder auf den Behälter auf. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schalter/die Schalter in Richtung Einsaugstutzen positioniert sind. Lassen Sie die Verschlüsse einrasten.

3 Entleeren nach Trockensaugen – alle Modelle

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, bevor Sie das Gerät nach dem Trockensaugen entleeren. Kontrollieren Sie Vorﬁ lter oder Staubbeutel regelmäßig. Lösen

Sie die Schnappverschlüsse, indem Sie diese nach außen ziehen, um die Motorabdeckung zu lösen. Heben Sie die Motorabdeckung vom Behälter ab. Filterpatrone: Zum Reinigen entweder außschütteln, ausbürsten oder waschen. Vor dem Weitersaugen warten, bis der Filter trocken ist. Kontrollieren Sie den Motorfilte. Bei Bedarf ausstauschen. Vorﬁ lter: Fassen Sie das Vorﬁ lter und heben Sie es aus dem Gerät. Schütteln Sie das Filter gründlich aus, um den Staub aus dem Filter zu entfernen. Staubbeutel: Kontrollieren Sie den Beutel, um den Füllgrad festzustellen. Tauschen Sie den Staubbeutel, falls erforderlich, aus. Entfernen Sie den alten Staubbeutel. Der neue Beutel wird eingesetzt, indem die Pappscheibe mit der Gummimembrane durch den Stutzen gezogen wird. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Gummimembrane hinter der Erhöhung am Stutzen sitzt. Nach dem Entleeren: Setzen Sie die Motorabdeckung wieder auf den Behälter auf. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schalter/die Schalter in Richtung Einsaugstutzen positioniert sind. Lassen Sie die Verschlüsse einrasten. Saugen Sie niemals trockene Partikel auf, ohne dass ein Vorﬁ lter oder ein Staubbeutel in das Gerät eingesetzt sind. Die Saugkraft des Staubsaugers hängt von der Größe und der Qualität von Filter und Staubbeutel ab. Verwenden Sie daher nur Originalﬁ lter und -staubbeutel.

4 Wartung des Schwimmersystems – nicht GD 320

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, bevor Sie mit den Wartungsarbeiten beginnen.

Nach dem Nasssaugen immer den Behälter und das Schwimmersystem entleeren und säubern. 4a) Lösen Sie die Schnappverschlüsse, indem Sie diese nach außen ziehen, um die Motorabdeckung zu lösen. Heben Sie die Motorabdeckung vom Behälter ab. Legen Sie die Motorabdeckung verkehrt herum ab. 4b) Lösen Sie den Schwimmerkorb, indem Sie den Korb nach links drehen. Entfernen Sie das gesamte Schwimmersystem aus der Motorabdeckung. 4c) Vor dem Motoreinlass sitzt ein Filter. Überprüfen Sie dieses Filter und das HEPA-Filter (falls installiert). Setzen Sie ein neues Filter ein, falls das Filter zugesetzt ist. 4d) Säubern Sie das Schwimmerventil und den Schwimmerkorb mit einem feuchten Tuch, bevor die Motorabdeckung wieder auf dem Behälter montiert wird. Installieren Sie anschließend das Schwimmerventil im Schwimmerkorb. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die versiegelte Oberﬂ äche des Schwimmerventils nach oben in Richtung Motorabdeckung zeigt. 4e) Montage des Schwimmerkorbs – setzen Sie den Korb so ein, dass der Pfeil am Korb auf den Pfeil an der Motorabdeckung zeigt. Sichern Sie anschließend den Schwimmerkorb, indem Sie ihn nach rechts drehen.

5 Nach der Benutzung

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, wenn das Gerät nicht in Gebrauch ist. Rollen Sie das Kabel auf, beginnen Sie am Gerät. Das Netzkabel kann um den Griff/die Haken auf der Motorabdeckung gewickelt werden. Einige Modelle haben spezielle Verwahrfächer für Zubehör.
