Tamir işlemleri gerektiğinde, bu işlemler eğitimli servis personeli istihdam eden ve stokunda Nilﬁ sk orijinal değiştirme parçalarını ve aksesuarlarını bulunduran Yetkili Nilﬁ sk Servis Merkezi tarafından yürütülmelidir.

Tamir parçaları veya servis için aşağıdaki ismi verilen NILFISK SATICISINA başvurun. Lütfen makinenizle ilgili görüşme yaparken, Model ve Seri Numarasını belirtin.

MAKİNENİN AMBALAJININ AÇILMASI

Makine teslim edildiğinde, sevkıyat kartonunu ve makineyi hasar açısından dikkatli bir şekilde muayene edin. Eğer hasar belirgin ise, bu sevkıyat kartonunu muayene edilebilmesi için muhafaza edin. Nakliye hasarı başvurusu yapmak için derhal Nilﬁ sk Müşteri Servis Bölümüne başvurun. Kartonu çıkardıktan sonra, plastik şeritleri kesin ve tekerlere bitişik olan plastik şeritleri kesin. Makineyi paletten zemine indirmek için bir rampa kullanın.

AKÜ DURUM GÖSTERGELERİNİN TANIMI

Akü durum göstergesi (K), üç adet lambadan ibarettir: bir Yeşil, bir sarı ve bir kırmızı. Voltaj belirtimi, kontrol ünitesinde seçilen kesme seviyesine (standart veya değişmeli seçim) dayalı olarak değişecektir. Muhtelif göstergeler için akü voltajı aralıkları aşağıdaki gösterilmiştir:

NOT: Değişmeli kesme seviyesini seçmek için servis Elkitabına başvurun. Düşük voltaj kesme seviyesine ulaşıldığında (yanıp sönen kırmızı), akü durum göstergesini sıfırlamak (reset) için akülerin TAMAMEN doldurulması gereklidir. Bu gösterge sıfırlanmadıkça süpürge gövde sistemi işlev görmeyecektir.

AKÜLERİN MONTE EDİLMESİ

UYARI!

Akülerle çalışırken son derece dikkatli davranın. Akülerde bulunan sülfürik asit deriyle veya gözlerle temasa gelirse şiddetli yaralanmalara sebep olur. Akülerin içinden patlayıcı akü kapakları yoluyla hidrojen gazı dışarıya atılır. Bu gaz her hangi bir elektrik kıvılcımı, alev veya ark ile tutuşarak patlayabilir.

Akülerin bakımını yaparken….

• Bütün mücevherleri çıkartın.

• Sigara içmeyin.

• Emniyet gözlükleri, kauçuk önlük ve kauçuk eldiven giyin.

• Çok iyi havalandırılmış bir alanda çalışın.

• Aletlerin bir anda birden fazla akü terminaline değmesine imkan vermeyin.

Eğer aküler doğru bir şekilde monte edilerek bağlantıları yapılmazsa, bu makine içindeki elektrikli parçalar ciddi bir biçimde hasar görebilir. Aküler Nilﬁ sk tarafından veya kaliﬁ ye bir elektrikçi tarafından monte edilmelidir.

FIRÇALARIN TAKILMASI (DİSK SİSTEMİ)

TEDBİR !

Fırçaları değiştirmeden önce ve her hangi bir erişim panelini açmadan önce, kontak anahtarını kapatın (O pozisyonu) ve anahtarı çıkartın.

1 Kontak anahtarının (J) KAPALI (O pozisyonu) olmasını sağlayın. Fırçalara erişim yapabilmek için, her iki yan eteklik parçasını sökün. Not: Eteklik parçaları

iki adet büyük tokmak ile tespit edilmektedir; bu tokmakları gevşetin ve yan eteklik parçalarını süpürge gövdesinden kaydırarak çıkartın.

2 Fırçaları (veya altlık yataklarını) monte etmek için, fırça üzerindeki kulpları montaj levhası üzerindeki deliklerle hizalayın ve yerine kilitlemek için döndürün

(fırçanın dış kenarını makinenin ön tarafına doğru çevirin).

FIRÇALARIN TAKILMASI (SİLİNDİR SİSTEMİ)

Eteklik parçaları her iki yanda kamalı pimlerle gövdeye tespit edilmiştir; bu pimleri sökün ve yan eteklik parçalarını süpürge gövdesinden kaydırarak çıkartın. Siyah tokmakları (her iki yanda bir adet) avara donanımının üst kısmından gevşetin ve avara donanımını sökün. Fırçayı yuvasına kaydırın; haﬁ fçe kaldırın, ittirin ve yerine oturuncaya kadar döndürün. Avara donanımını tekrar yerine takın, eteklik donanımlarını kapatın ve kamalı pimleri tekrar yerlerine çakın.

ÇEKÇEK ÜNİTESİNİN MONTAJI

1 Çekçek ünitesinin (19) yukarıda olmasını ve kontak anahtarının (J) KAPALI (O pozisyonu) olmasını sağlayın. Çekçek ünitesi aracını, eğik uçları yukarıya

bakacak şekilde tutun; daha sonra, çekçek aracını Kaide A üzerine kaydırın (Bkz. Şekil 2).

2 Parmak Somunlarını (B) elle sıkılaştırın ve daha sonra, vakum hortumunu Çekçek ünitesi Borusuna (C) takın (Vakum hortumu sağda halka yapmalıdır). 3 Arka lastik sileceğin ağzı bütün uzunluğu boyunca zemine aynı seviyede temas edecek ve lastik silecek kesitinde görüldüğü gibi haﬁ fçe eğim alacak

şekilde lastik sileceği aşağıya indirin, makineyi haﬁ fçe öne doğru hareket ettirin ve Lastik Silecek Eğim Ayar Düğmesi (24) ve Lastik Silecek Yükseklik Tekerini (D) kullanarak lastik silecek eğim ve yükseklik ayarını yapın.

ÇÖZELTİ TANKININ DOLDURULMASI

Temizleme maddesinin etiketini okuyun ve 40 ABD galonu (151 litre) miktarda bir tank için gereken uygun kimyasal maddeyi hesaplayın. Çözelti tankı kapağını (2) açın, daha sonra tankı 1/3 oranda su ile doldurun; kimyasal maddeyi ilave edin ve tank açıklığının üst kısmından 7.62 cm (3 inç) kalıncaya kadar doldurun (tank açıklığındaki duvar dibine kadar doldurun). NOT: EcoFlex makineleri, geleneksel olarak tankta karıştırılan deterjan ile kullanılabilir veya bir deterjan dağıtım sistemi kullanılabilir. EcoFlex deterjan dağıtım sistemi deterjanı tankta karıştırmaz, sadece su kullanılmalıdır.

TEDBİR!

Sadece otomatik kazıyıcı makine uygulamaları için amaçlanan düşük köpüklü, tutuşmayan tipte kimyasal maddeler kullanın. Su sıcaklığı 54.4 oC’yi (130 oFahrenheit) aşmamalıdır.

DETERJAN SİSTEMİ HAZIRLANMASI VE KULLANIMI (SADECE ECOFLEX MODELLERİ)

GENEL TALİMATLAR:

Çözelti sistemi aktifken Deterjan Anahtarına (S) basıp bırakıldığında, deterjan sistemi sırayla açılıp kapanır. Farklı bir deterjana geçerken, sistemin önceki deterjanı temizlemesi gerekir. SERVİS NOTU: Bu işlem sırasında az miktarda deterjan atılacağından tasﬁ ye işleminden önce makineyi zemindeki su kanalı üzerine getirin.

Kimyasalların Değiştirilmesi Sırasında Tahliye için:

1 Deterjan kartuşunu sökün ve çıkartın. 2 Kontak Anahtarını (J) AÇIK konuma getirin ve Deterjan Açma/Kapatma Anahtarı (S) ile Akış Hızı Anahtarına (T) en az 2 saniye boyunca basın. NOT: Etkinleştirildiğinde,

Deterjan LED’i

Haftalık Tahliye için:

1 Deterjan kartuşunu sökün ve çıkartın. Temiz su ile doldurulmuş bir Kartuşu monte edin ve bağlayın. 2 Kontak Anahtarını (J) AÇIK konuma getirin ve Deterjan Açma/Kapatma Anahtarı (S) ile Akış Hızı Anahtarına (T) en az 2 saniye boyunca basın. NOT: Etkinleştirildiğinde,

Deterjan LED’i (U) yanıp sönmeye başlayacak ve 10 saniye sonra otomatik olarak kapanacaktır. Normal olarak sistemi tahliye etmek için bir tahliye işlemi yeterlidir.

Deterjan Kutusu (AA), kartuşta ne kadar deterjan kaldığını takip etmek için bir Deterjan Seviyesi Görme Yuvasına (BB) sahiptir. Deterjan seviyesi bu yuvanın altına yaklaştığında, kartuşun yeniden doldurulması veya değiştirilmesi gerekir.

Genel Kullanım:

Anahtar Sivici (J) açıldığında deterjan sistemi açılır ancak ovma sistemi etkinleştirilene ve Sürüş Pedalı (8) ileri bastırılana kadar deterjan verilmez. Çözelti akış hızı otomatik olarak son kullanılan ayara döner. Daha sonra Akış Hızı Anahtarına (T) basarak çözelti akış hızı değiştirilebilir. Akış Hızı Göstergesi (V) üç çözelti akış hızını belirtir. Deterjan akış oranı çözelti akış oranıyla artar veya azalır ancak deterjan oranı sabit kalır. Ovma sırasında, deterjan sistemi herhangi bir zamanda sadece suyla ovma için Deterjan AÇMA/KAPAMA

Anahtarına (S) basılarak kapatılabilir. Çözelti akış hızı, deterjan sistemi ister Açık ister Kapalı olsun Akış Hızı Anahtarı (T) tarafından kontrol edilir. Makine otomatik olarak EcoFlex temizleme moduna geçerek (EcoFlex Anahtarı Göstergesi (X) YEŞİL yanar) çözelti ve deterjandan tasarruf sağlar. EcoFlex Anahtarına (Y) basarak, EcoFlex temizleme modunu devre dışı bırakın ve çözelti akışı ve deterjan oranını geçici olarak arttırın. Yeşil gösterge (X) bir dakika yanıp sönecek, çözelti debisi bir

sonraki seviyeye yükselecek ve deterjan oranı önceden programlanan orana yükselecektir. SERVİS NOTU: Makine uzun süre kullanılmayacaksa veya deterjan (EcoFlex) sistemini kullanmaya devam etmemeyi planlıyorsanız, yukarıdaki “Haftalık Tahliye için” talimatlarını

takip edin.

Deterjan Oranı:

1 EcoFlex temizleme modu iptal edilmedikçe deterjan oran

Deterjan sistemi Kapalı durumdayken, Deterjan Açma/Kapatma Anahtarı (S) 2 saniye basılı tutulmalıdır. Deterjan göstergesi (U) yanıp sönecek ve anahtara her basıldığında (1:32(#9), 1:50(#8), 1:64(#7), 1:100(#6), 1:128(#5), 1:200(#4), 1:256(#3), 1:300(#2), 1:400(#1)) oranları arasında geçiş yapılacaktır. İstenen oran ekranda (W)

görüntülendiğinde durun, 5 saniye sonra kilitlenecektir.

KARTUŞ TALİMATLARI

Deterjan kartuşunu maksimum 1.25 galon (4.73 litre) deterjanla doldurun. SERVİS NOTU: Deterjanın makine üzerine dökülmesini önlemek için doldurmadan önce deterjan kartuşunu deterjan kutusundan çıkartın.

Kullanmayı planladığınız her deterjan için ayrı bir kartuş kullanılması tavsiye edilir. Deterjan kartuşları üzerinde beyaz bir çıkartma vardır; her bir kartuş üzerine deterjanın adını yazarak karışmalarını engelleyebilirsiniz. Yeni bir kartuş takarken, Başlığı (CC) kaldırın ve kartuşu deterjan kutusu içine yerleştirin. Kuru Aralık Başlığını (DD) gösterildiği şekilde

takın.

(U) yanıp sönmeye başlayacak ve 10 saniye sonra otomatik olarak kapanacaktır. Normal olarak sistemi tahliye etmek için bir tahliye işlemi yeterlidir.

UYARI!

Operatör kontrollerini ve fonksiyonlarını anladığınızdan emin olun. Rampa veya meyilli alanlarda iken yüklü durumda aniden duruşlardan kaçının. Düzensiz keskin dönüşlerden kaçının. Yokuş aşağı inişlerde düşük hız kullanın. Sadece rampa yukarı çıkarken temizleyin.

Kazıma yapmak için…

Bu Elkitabının kullanım bölümünde makine hazırlamak için verilen talimatları takip edin. 1 Makinede oturma pozisyonunda iken, ayarlama kontrollerini (25 ve 5) kullanmak suretiyle koltuğu ve direksiyonu rahat bir kullanım pozisyonuna ayarlayın. 2 Mastır kontak anahtarını (J) açık (I) durumuna getirin. Bu işlem kontrol panosu gösterge lambalarını yakar, Akü Durum Göstergesine (K) ve Saat Sayacına (G) referans

yapar.

3 Park Frenini (6) serbest bırakın. Makineyi çalışma alanına nakletmek için, öne doğru sürüş için tahrik pedalının (8) ön kısmına, arkaya doğru gitmek için arka kısmına

ayağınızla dengeli bir basınç uygulayın. Arzulanan hızı elde etmek için ayak pedalına uygulanan basıncı değiştirin.

4 Çözelti Akış Kontrol Vanası levyesini (7) yaklaşık 1/4 ila 1/3 açık pozisyona getirin (EcoFlex olmayan modeller).

Bir çözelti akışı hızı seçmek için Çözelti Oranı Anahtarına (T) basın (EcoFlex Modelleri). Kazıma yapılacak farklı döşeme tipleri için değişken çözelti akışına imkan sağlamak üzere akış oranı değiştirilebilir. Örnek: ince kaplaması yapılmamış bir beton yüzeyi gibi kaba veya emici bir zemin, kaplanmış bir zemine göre daha fazla çözeltiye ihtiyaç duyar. NOT: (EcoFlex olmayan modeller) çözeltinin düzenli akışı için Çözelti Akış Kontrol Vanası levyesini (7) tam yol açın ve daha sonra ECO Solution™ Vanasını (26) AÇIK konumuna getirin. Bu levye “KAPALI pozisyonda iken” makine klasik biçimde çalışır; çözelti akışı Çözelti Akış Kontrol Levyesi (7) ile belirlenir. Bu levye “AÇIK pozisyonda iken” çözelti akışı otomatik olarak kontrol edilir. Çözelti Akış Kontrol Levyesi (7) kapatılmamalıdır; fakat aksi halde etkin durumda değildir. Vanaya (26) ait levyenin tam yol AÇIK veya tam yol KAPALI olmasını, hiçbir zaman arada olmamasını sağlayın. Eğer daha fazla çözeltiye ihtiyaç varsa ECO Solution™ Vanasını (26) kapatın ve çözelti akışını Çözelti Akış Kontrol Vanası levyesi (7) ile ayarlayın. NOT: Fırça Basıncı Azaltma Anahtarı (D) veya Fırça Basıncı Artırma Anahtarına (F) basıldığında çözelti, vakum ve deterjan (EcoFlex Modelleri) sistemleri otomatik olarak devreye girer. İlave başka işlem gerekmez. Her hangi bir bireysel sistem kazıma işlemleri esnasında kendisine ait anahtara basmak suretiyle KAPALI veya AÇIK duruma getirilebilir.

5 Çözelti Anahtarına (R) basın ve 5 sn. tutun. Bu işlem zemini ön ıslatmak için yapılır. NOT: Bu işlem kuru fırçalarla kazıma işlemine başlarken zemin yüzeyinin yaralanmasını

önlemeye yardımcı olur.

6 Fırça Basıncı Azaltma Anahtarı (D) veya Fırça Basıncı Artırma Anahtarına (F) seçildiğinde, fırçalar ve çekçek ünitesi otomatik olarak zemin seviyesine indirilir. Sürüş pedalı

(8) etkinleştirildiğinde, makinenin süpürge gövde fırçasının dönüşü, çözelti sistemi akışı, vakum ve deterjan (EcoFlex Modelleri) çalışmaya başlar. NOT: Makineyi geri gidişte kullanırken sadece fırçalar döner; çözelti sistemi ve deterjan (EcoFlex Modelleri) kullanımdan tasarruf yapmak amacıyla otomatik olarak kapatılır.

7 Makineyi öne doğru düz bir hatta ve normal yürüme hızında sürmek suretiyle kazıma işlemine başlayın ve her gidiş yolunu diğeriyle 2 – 3 inç (50 – 75mm) örtüşmesini

sağlayın. İhtiyaç olduğunda zeminin durumuna göre makine hızını ve çözelti akışını ayarlayın.

TEDBİR!

Zemine zarar vermemek için fırçalar dönmekte iken makineyi sürekli hareket halinde tutun.

8 Kazıma işlemini yaparken ara sıra bütün atık suyun alındığını görmek için makinenin arkasını kontrol edin. Eğer makinenin arkasında su akıntısı varsa, çok fazla çözelti

kullanıyor olabilirsiniz, geri kazanma tankı dolu olabilir veya çekçek takımı ayarlamaya ihtiyaç duymaktadır.

9 Sadece EcoFlex modelleri: Makine otomatik olarak EcoFlex temizleme moduna geçerek (EcoFlex Anahtarı Göstergesi (X) YEŞİL yanar) çözelti ve deterjandan tasarruf

sağlar. EcoFlex Anahtarına (Y) basarak, EcoFlex temizleme modunu devre dışı bırakın ve çözelti akışı ve deterjan oranını geçici olarak arttırın. Yeşil gösterge (X) bir dakika yanıp sönecek, çözelti debisi bir sonraki seviyeye yükselecek ve deterjan oranı önceden programlanan orana yükselecektir. EcoFlex iptali sırasında kullanılan önceden programlanmış oran ayarlanabilir. Deterjan sistemi Kapalı durumdayken, Deterjan Açma/Kapatma Anahtarı (S) 2 saniye basılı tutulmalıdır. Deterjan göstergesi (U) yanıp sönecek ve anahtara her basıldığında (1:32(#9), 1:50(#8), 1:64(#7), 1:100(#6), 1:128(#5), 1:200(#4), 1:256(#3), 1:300(#2), 1:400(#1)) oranları arasında geçiş

yapılacaktır. İstenen oran ekranda (W) görüntülendiğinde durun, 5 saniye sonra kilitlenecektir.

NOT: EcoFlex Anahtarını (Y) 2 saniye basılı tutmak EcoFlex sistemini devre dışı bırakır. Yeniden etkinleştirmenin tek yolu EcoFlex Anahtarına (Y) tekrar basmaktır.

Anahtar Sivinin (J) kapatıp açılması sistemi yeniden etkinleştirmez. EcoFlex sistemi sadece Ovma Sistemi (D veya F) etkinleştirilmişse çalışır.

10 Aşırı kirli zeminler için tek geçişli kazıma işlemi tatmin edici olmayabilir ve iki geçişli kazıma işlemi gerekebilir. Bu işlem tek geçişli kazıma işlemi ile aynıdır ancak birinci

geçişte çekçek ünitesi yukarı pozisyondadır (çekçek ünitesini kaldırmak için Vakum Anahtarına (O) basın). Bu işlem temizleme çözeltisinin zemin üzerinde daha fazla kalmasına imkan sağlar. Son geçiş aynı alan üzerinde yapılır ve biriken çözeltiyi almak için çekçek ünitesi indirilir.

11 Geri kazanma tankı dolduğunda çözeltinin vakum sistemine girişini önlemek için geri kazanma tankında otomatik bir şamandıra kapatma sistemine sahiptir. Bu şamandıralı

kapatma sistemi etkin duruma geçtiğinde kontrol sistemi fırça, vakum, çözelti ve deterjan (EcoFlex Modelleri) sistemlerini kapatacaktır. Fırça Basıncı / Sayaç Metre Görüntü Ekranı (G) “DOLU” gösterecektir. Bu ekranı temizlemek için, Fırça Kapalı Anahtarı (B), Fırça Basıncı Azaltma Anahtarı (D), F Anahtarı (O) üzerine basın. Şamandıra kapandığında geri kazanma tankı boşaltılmalıdır. Şamandıra kapalı olduğunda makine suyu toplamaz. NOT: Eğer kontrol sistemi tekrarlı bir şekilde tank dolu olmadığı halde dolu göstergesi vermekte ise otomatik kapatma özelliği devre dışı bırakılabilir; bu fonksiyonu gerçekleştirmek için kaliﬁ ye bir servis teknisyeninin servis Elkitabına başvurmasını sağlayın.

12 Operatör kazıma işlemini durdurmak istediğinde veya geri kazanma tankı dolu olduğunda Fırça Kapalı Anahtarına (B) bir kez basın. Bu işlem süpürge sistemi fırçalarını

ve çözelti akışını otomatik olarak durduracak ve süpürge gövde sistemi yukarı kalkacaktır. NOT: Vakum / Çekçek ünitesi sistemi bu anahtara sadece bir kez basıldığında kapatılmaz; bunun amacı vakumu tekrar açmaksızın geri kalan suyun toplanmasına imkan sağlamaktır. Anahtara ikinci kez basın ve bu işlem çekçek ünitesini kaldıracak ve 10 saniyelik bir gecikmeden sonra vakumu durduracaktır.

13 Makineyi, atık su “bertaraf alanı” olarak tespit edilen yere sürün ve geri kazanma tankını boşaltın. Boşaltmak için, Tahliye Hortumunu (21) arka depolama alanından çekin

ve tapayı çıkarın (atık suyun aniden kontrolsüz bir şekilde boşalmasını önlemek için hortumun ucunu tanktaki su seviyesinden yukarıda tutun). Çözelti tankını doldurun ve kazıma işlemine devam edin.

YAŞ VAKUMLAMA

Makineye yaş vakumlama için seçimli parçaların takılmasında aşağıdaki işlemleri takip edin. 1 Geri kazanma hortumunu çekçek ünitesinden sökün. Manivela takımındaki kavrayıcı ve hortumu geri kazanma hortumuna takın. 2 Hortuma uygun ıslak toplama takımları yerleştirin (Nilﬁ sk ﬁ rmasından seçimli bir Manivela Takımı Parça No. 56314307 temin edilebilir). 3 Mastır Kontak Anahtarını (J) AÇIK duruma getirin daha sonra Manivela Anahtarına basın. Vakum motoru ve pompa kapatmak için anahtara basılıncaya kadar sürekli

KULLANIM SONRASI

1 Kazıma işlemi bittikten sonra, Fırça Kapalı Anahtarına (B) iki kez basın; bu işlem, bütün makine sistemlerini (fırça, çekçek ünitesi, vakum, çözelti ve

deterjan (EcoFlex Modelleri)) otomatik olarak kaldırır, geri çeker ve durdurur. Daha sonra, günlük bakım için makine servis alanına sürün ve diğer servis bakım işlemlerini yürütün.

2 Çözelti tankını boşaltmak için, Çözelti Tahliye Hortumunu (4) depolama kıskacından çıkarın. Hortumu “ATIK ALANI” olarak belirtilen yere yöneltin ve

tapayı çıkartın. Tankı temiz su ile yıkayın.

3 Geri kazanma tankını boşaltmak için, Tahliye Hortumunu (21) depolama alanından çıkarın. Hortumu “ATIK ALANI” olarak belirtilen yere yöneltin ve tapayı

çıkarın (atık suyun aniden kontrolsüz bir şekilde boşalmasını önlemek için hortumun ucunu tanktaki su seviyesinden yukarıda tutun). Tankı temiz su ile

yıkayın. 4 Fırçaları veya altlık tutucularını sökün. Fırçaları veya altlığı ılık suyla yıkayın ve kurutmak için asın. 5 Çekçek ünitesini sökün, ılık suyla yıkayın ve destek üzerine monte edin. 6 Silindir sistemlerinde hazneyi çıkarın ve iyice temizleyin. Makinenin her iki yanından eteklik parçasını açarak ve hazneyi eğerek ve muhafazadan çekerek

çıkarın. 7 Aşağıdaki bakım planını kontrol edin ve depolamadan önce gerekli bakımı yürütün.

Aküleri şarj etmek için… 1 Akü devre dışı düğmesine (13) basın. 2 Yeterli havalandırma sağlamak için Akü Kompartımanı Kapağını (16) açın. 3 Şarj cihazının Konektörünü Akü Konektörüne (22) takın. 4 Akü şarj cihazı üzerindeki talimatları takip edin. 5 Şarj işleminden sonra bütün akü hücrelerindeki sıvı seviyesini kontrol edin. UYARI!

Şarj işleminden önce aküleri doldurmayın. Aküleri sadece iyice havalandırılmış bir alanda şarj edin. Akülere bakım yaparken sigara içmeyin.

AKÜ ELEKTROLİT SEVİYESİNİN KONTROLÜ

Akülerin elektrolit seviyesini haftada en az bir kez kontrol edin.

Aküleri şarj ettikten sonra havalandırma kapaklarını çıkartın ve akü hücrelerinin her birindeki elektrolit seviyesini kontrol edin. Aküleri doldurma borularının dibine kadar doldurmak için damıtık su ilave edin. Aküleri aşırı doldurmayın!

TEDBİR!

Eğer aküler aşırı doldurulursa asit zemin üzerine taşabilir.

Havalandırma kapaklarını sıkın. Eğer akülerin üzerinde asit varsa, akülerin üst kısmını pastacılık sodası (karbonat) ve su çözeltisi ile (iki yemek kaşığı soda + 1/4 galon su) yıkayın.

halinde lastik silecek açısını ayarlayın.

1 Makineyi düz ve engebesiz bir yüzeye getirin ve lastik sileceği indirin. Ardından lastik silecekler arkaya katlanacak kadar makineyi yeterince ileri sürün. 2 Arka lastik sileceğin ağzı bütün uzunluğu boyunca zemine aynı seviyede temas edecek ve lastik silecek kesitinde görüldüğü gibi haﬁ fçe eğim alacak

YAN ETEKLİK BAKIMI (DİSK SİSTEMİ)

Yan etekliğin fonksiyonu, atık suyu çekçek ünitesine yönlendirmek ve makine temizleme yolunda bulunan suyun toplanmasını sağlamaktır. Normal kullanım esnasında bıçaklar zamanla aşınacaktır. Operatör az bir miktarda suyun yan etekliklerin altından sızdığını fark edecektir. Bütün suyun çekçek ünitesi tarafından toplanabilmesi için bıçakları alçaltmak amacıyla kolaylıkla bir yükseklik ayarı yapılabilir.

ipucu: Eteklik Tutma Tokmakları (A), eteklikler cihazda iken ve Ayarlama Bilezikleri (C) eteklik muhafazası altından ulaşılarak döndürmek suretiyle gevşetilebilir.

3 Ayarlama Bileziklerini (C) (aşağı veya yukarı), bıçaklar atık suyun eteklik içine kazınmasına yeterli derecede katlandığı noktaya kadar çevirin. NOT: İyi bir

bıçak sinmesi elde etmek için küçük çaplı ayarlamalar yapın. Bıçakları aşırı katlanmalarına ve gereksiz bıçak yıpranmasına sebep olacak kadar çok fazla indirmeyin.

This manual will help you get the most from your Nilﬁ sk Rider Scrubber. Read it thoroughly before operating the machine.

This product is intended for commercial use only.

PARTS AND SERVICE

Repairs, when required, should be performed by your Authorized Nilﬁ sk Service Center, who employs factory trained service personnel, and maintains an inventory of Nilﬁ sk original replacement parts and accessories.

Call the NILFISK DEALER named below for repair parts or service. Please specify the Model and Serial Number when discussing your machine.

UNCRATE THE MACHINE

When the machine is delivered, carefully inspect the shipping carton and the machine for damage. If damage is evident, save the shipping carton so that it can be inspected. Contact the Nilﬁ sk Customer Service Department immediately to ﬁ le a freight damage claim. After removing the carton, cut the plastic straps and remove the wooden blocks next to the wheels. Use a ramp to roll the machine from the pallet to the ﬂ oor.

WARNING!

* This machine shall be used only by properly trained and authorized persons. * While on ramps or inclines, avoid sudden stops when loaded. Avoid abrupt sharp turns. Use low speed down hills. Clean

only while ascending (driving up) the ramp.

* Keep sparks, ﬂ ame and smoking materials away from batteries. Explosive gases are vented during normal operation. * Charging the batteries produces highly explosive hydrogen gas. Charge batteries only in well-ventilated areas, away from

open ﬂ ame. Do not smoke while charging the batteries.

* Remove all jewelry when working near electrical components. * Turn the key switch off (O) and disconnect the batteries before servicing electrical components. * Never work under a machine without safety blocks or stands to support the machine. * Do not dispense ﬂ ammable cleaning agents, operate the machine on or near these agents, or operate in areas where

ﬂ ammable liquids exist.

* Do not clean this machine with a pressure washer. * Only use the brushes provided with the appliance or those speciﬁ ed in the instruction manual. The use of other brushes

may impair safety.

* When operating this machine, ensure that third parties, particularly children, are not endangered. * Before performing any service function, carefully read all instructions pertaining to that function. * Do not leave the machine unattended without ﬁ rst turning the key switch off (O), removing the key and applying the parking

Any water in the solution, recovery or

detergent tanks or in the hose lines could freeze, causing damage to valves and ﬁ ttings. Flush with windshield washer ﬂ uid. * The batteries must be removed from the machine before the machine is scrapped. The disposal of the batteries should be

safely done in accordance with your local environmental regulations.

* Do not use on surfaces having a gradient exceeding that marked on the machine. * All doors and covers are to be positioned as indicated in the instruction manual before using the machine.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BATTERY CONDITION INDICATORS

The battery condition indicator (K) consists of three lights, a green, a yellow, and a red. The voltage indication will change based on the cutoff level (standard or alternate) selected in the control unit. The battery voltage ranges for the various indications are listed below:

NOTE: Refer to service manual for selection of alternate cut-off level. Once the low voltage cutout level has been reached (ﬂ ashing red indicator) the batteries must be FULLY recharged to reset the battery condition indicator. The scrub system will not function until the indicator has been reset.

INSTALL THE BATTERIES

WARNING!

Use extreme caution when working with batteries. Sulfuric acid in batteries can cause severe injury if allowed to contact the skin or eyes. Explosive hydrogen gas is vented from inside the batteries through openings in the battery caps. This gas can be ignited by any electrical arc, spark or ﬂ ame.

When Servicing Batteries... * Remove all jewelry.

* Do not smoke. * Wear safety glasses, a rubber apron and rubber gloves. * Work in a well-ventilated area. * Do not allow tools to touch more than one battery terminal at a time.

CAUTION!

Electrical components in this machine can be severely damaged if the batteries are not installed and connected properly. Batteries should be installed by Nilﬁ sk or by a qualiﬁ ed electrician.

1 Turn the Key Switch (J) off (O) and remove the key. Then swing open the Battery Compartment Cover (16). 2 Using (2) people and an appropriate lifting strap, carefully lift the batteries into the compartment tray exactly as shown. Refer to decal 56380513 battery

cable layout.

3 See Figure 1. Install battery cables as shown and tighten the nuts on the battery terminals. 4 Install the battery boots and secure tightly to the battery cables with the supplied tie straps. 5 Connect the battery pack connector to the machine connector (22) and close the battery compartment cover.

INSTALL THE BRUSHES (DISC SYSTEM)

CAUTION!

Turn the key switch off (O) and remove the key, before changing the brushes, and before opening any access panels.

1 Make sure the Key Switch (J) is off (O). To access the brushes, remove both side skirt assemblies. Note: The skirts are held in place by two large Knobs, loosen these

knobs and slide the skirt assemblies off of the Scrub Deck. To mount the brushes (or pad holders) align the lugs on the brush with the holes on the mounting plate and turn to lock in place (turn outside edge of brush towards front 2 of machine).

INSTALL THE BRUSHES (CYLINDRICAL SYSTEM)

CAUTION!

Turn the key switch off (O) and remove the key, before changing the brushes, and before opening any access panels.

1 Make sure the Key Switch (J) is off (O). To access the brushes, swing both side skirt assemblies open. Note: The skirts are held in place by a large cotter pin on each

side, remove the pins and swing the skirt assemblies out of the way. Loosen the black knobs (one on each side) on top of the idler assemblies and remove the idler assemblies. Slide the brush into the housing, lift slightly, push and turn until it seats. Re-install the idler assemblies, close the skirt assemblies and secure with cotter pins.

INSTALL THE SQUEEGEE

1 Make sure the Squeegee (19) is up (O) and the Key Switch (J) is off (O). Hold the squeegee tool so that the curved ends point forward, then slide the

squeegee tool onto the Mount (A) (See Figure 2). 2 Hand tighten the Thumb Nuts (B) and then connect the vacuum hose to the Squeegee Tube (C) (vacuum hose should loop to the right). 3 Lower the squeegee, move the machine ahead slightly and adjust the squeegee tilt and height using the Squeegee Tilt Adjust Knob (24) and Squeegee

Height Wheels (D) so that the rear squeegee blade touches the ﬂ oor evenly across its entire width and is bent over slightly as shown in the squeegee

cross section.

FILL THE SOLUTION TANK

Read the cleaning chemical label and ﬁ gure the proper amount of chemical to mix for a tank that holds 40 US gallons (151 liters). Open the Solution Tank Cover (2), then ﬁ ll the tank 1/3 full of water, add the cleaning chemical, then ﬁ ll the tank to 7.62cm (3 inches) from the top of the

tank opening (ﬁ ll to bottom of the wall in tank opening). NOTE: EcoFlex machines can either be used conventionally with detergent mixed in the tank or the detergent dispensing system can be used. When using the EcoFlex detergent dispensing do not mix detergent in the tank, plain water should be used.

CAUTION!

Use only low-foaming, non-ﬂ ammable liquid detergents intended for automatic scrubber machine applications. Water temperature should not exceed 130 degrees Fahrenheit (54.4 degrees Celsius).

DETERGENT SYSTEM PREPARATION AND USE (ECOFLEX MODELS ONLY)

COMMON INSTRUCTIONS:

Pressing and releasing the Detergent Switch (S) while the solution system is active will cause the detergent system to alternately turn on and off. The system should be purged of previous detergent when switching to a different detergent. SERVICE NOTE: Move machine over ﬂ oor drain before purging because a small amount of detergent will be dispensed in the process.

To Purge When Changing Chemicals:

1 Disconnect and remove the detergent cartridge. 2 Turn the Key Switch (J) ON and press the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (S) and the Flow Rate Switch (T) down for at least 2 seconds. NOTE: Once activated the Detergent

LED (U) will begin to ﬂ ash and will automatically shut off after 10 seconds. Normally one purge cycle is adequate to purge the system.

To Purge Weekly:

1 Disconnect and remove the detergent cartridge. Install and connect a Cartridge ﬁ lled with clean water 2 Turn the Key Switch (J) ON and press the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (S) and the Flow Rate Switch (T) down for at least 2 seconds. NOTE: Once activated the Detergent

LED (U) will begin to ﬂ ash and will automatically shut off after 10 seconds. Normally one purge cycle is adequate to purge the system.

The Detergent Box (AA) has a Detergent Level Viewing Slot (BB) for keeping track of how much detergent is remaining in the cartridge. When the detergent level is nearing the bottom of this slot it is time to reﬁ ll or replace the cartridge.

General Use:

The detergent system is turned on when the Key Switch (J) is turned on but no detergent is dispensed until the scrub system is activated and the Drive Pedal (8) pushed forward. The solution ﬂ ow rate automatically defaults to the last setting used. The solution ﬂ ow rate can be varied by subsequently pressing the Flow Rate Switch (T). There are three solution ﬂ ow rates indicated by the Flow Rate Indicator (V). The detergent ﬂ ow rate increases or decreases with the solution ﬂ ow rate but the detergent ratio remains the same. During scrubbing, the detergent system can be turned off at any time by pressing the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (S) to allow scrubbing with water only. The solution ﬂ ow rate is controlled by the Flow Rate Switch (T) whether the detergent system is ON or OFF. The machine defaults to the EcoFlex cleaning mode (EcoFlex Switch Indicator (X) is lit GREEN) conserving solution and detergent. Press the EcoFlex Switch (Y) to override the EcoFlex cleaning mode and temporarily increase solution ﬂ ow and the detergent ratio. This will cause the indicator (X) to ﬂ ash green for one minute, solution ﬂ ow rate will increase to the next level and the detergent ratio will increase to the pre-programmed ratio. SERVICE NOTE: Follow the “To Purge Weekly” instructions above if the machine is going to be stored for an extended period of time or if you plan to discontinue use of the detergent (EcoFlex) system.

Detergent Ratio:

1 The detergent ratio is locked at 1:400(#1), except while overriding the EcoFlex cleaning mode. The pre-programmed ratio that is used during EcoFlex override can be

adjusted. With the detergent system OFF, press and hold the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (S) switch will cycle through the available ratios (1:32(#9), 1:50(#8), 1:64(#7), 1:100(#6), 1:128(#5), 1:200(#4), 1:256(#3), 1:300(#2), 1:400(#1)). Once the desired ratio # is displayed on the display (W), stop and it will lock in after 5 seconds.

CARTRIDGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Fill the detergent cartridge with a maximum of 1.25 gallons (4.73 Liters) of detergent. SERVICE NOTE: Remove the detergent cartridge from the detergent box prior to ﬁ lling to avoid spilling detergent on the machine. It is recommended that a separate cartridge be used for each detergent you plan to use. The detergent cartridges have a white decal on them so you can write the detergent name on each cartridge to avoid mixing them up. When installing a new cartridge, remove the Cap (CC) and place the cartridge in the detergent box. Install the Dry Break Cap (DD) as shown.

Follow the instructions in preparing the machine for use section of this manual. 1 While seated on the machine, adjust the seat and steering wheel to a comfortable operating position using the adjustment controls (25) and (5). 2 Turn the Master Key Switch (J) ON (I). This will display the control panel indicator lights, reference the Battery Condition Indicator (K) and Hour Meter (G). 3 Release the Parking Brake (6). To transport the machine to the work area, apply even pressure with your foot on the front of the Drive Pedal (8) to go forward or the rear

of the pedal for reverse. Vary the pressure on the foot pedal to obtain the desired speed.

4 Adjust the Solution Flow Control Valve Lever (7) to about 1/4 to 1/3 open position (Non EcoFlex models). Press the Flow Rate Switch (T) to select a solution ﬂ ow rate (EcoFlex models). The ﬂ ow rate can be changed to allow variable solution ﬂ ow for different types of ﬂ oors to be scrubbed. Example: A rough or absorbent ﬂ oor surface such as unﬁ nished

concrete, will require more solution than a smooth ﬁ nished ﬂ oor.

NOTE (Non EcoFlex Models): For a consistent reduced ﬂ ow of solution; open the Solution Flow Control Valve Lever (7) all the way and then turn ON the ECO Solution™

Valve (26). When the lever is in the “OFF” position; the machine operates conventionally; solution ﬂ ow is determined by the Solution Flow Control Lever (7). When the lever is in the “ON” position; solution ﬂ ow is controlled automatically. The Solution Flow Control Lever (7) should not be shut off, but is otherwise inactive. Make sure that the lever for Valve (26) is all the way ON or all the way OFF, never in between. If more solution is needed, turn OFF the ECO Solution™ Valve (26) and adjust the solution

ﬂ ow with the Solution Flow Control Valve Lever (7). NOTE: The solution, vacuum and detergent (EcoFlex models) systems are automatically activated when the Scrub Pressure Decrease Switch (D) or the Scrub Pressure

Increase Switch (F) is pressed. No further action is required. Any individual system can be turned OFF or back ON by simply pressing its switch at any time during scrubbing.

5 Press and hold the Solution Switch (R) for 5 seconds to pre-wet the ﬂ oor. NOTE: This must be done prior to pressing the Scrub ON Switch (F). 6 When the Scrub Pressure Decrease Switch (D) or the Scrub Pressure Increase Switch (F) is selected, the brushes and squeegee are automatically lowered to the ﬂ oor.

The machine’s scrub brush rotation, solution system ﬂ ow, vacuum and detergent (EcoFlex models) starts when the Drive Pedal (8) is activated. Note: When operating the machine in reverse, only the brushes will rotate, the solution and detergent (EcoFlex models) is automatically shut off to conserve usage.

7 Begin scrubbing by driving the machine forward in a straight line at a normal walking speed and overlap each path by 2-3 inches (50-75 mm). Adjust when necessary the

machine speed and solution ﬂ ow according to the condition of the ﬂ oor.

CAUTION!

To avoid damaging the ﬂ oor, keep the machine moving while the brushes are turning.

8 When scrubbing, check behind the machine occasionally to see that all of the waste water is being picked up. If there is water trailing the machine, you may be dispensing

too much solution, the recovery tank may be full, or the squeegee tool may require adjustment.

9 EcoFlex models only: The machine defaults to the EcoFlex cleaning mode (EcoFlex Switch Indicator (X) is lit GREEN) conserving solution and detergent. Press the

EcoFlex Switch (Y) to override the EcoFlex cleaning mode and temporarily increase solution ﬂ ow and the detergent ratio. This will cause the indicator (X) to ﬂ ash green for one minute, solution ﬂ ow rate will increase to the next level and the detergent ratio will increase to the pre-programmed ratio. The pre-programmed ratio that is used during EcoFlex override can be adjusted. With the detergent system OFF, press and hold the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (S) for 2 seconds. The detergent indicator (U) will ﬂ ash and each press of the switch will cycle through the available ratios (1:32(#9), 1:50(#8), 1:64(#7), 1:100(#6), 1:128(#5), 1:200(#4), 1:256(#3), 1:300(#2), 1:400(#1)). Once the desired ratio # is displayed on the display (W), stop and it will lock in after 5 seconds.

NOTE: Pressing and holding the EcoFlex Switch (Y) for 2 seconds disables the EcoFlex system. The only way to re-enable is to push the EcoFlex Switch (Y) again.

Cycling the Key Switch (J) does not re-enable the system. The EcoFlex system will only function if the Scrub System (D or F) has been enabled.

10 For extremely dirty ﬂ oors, a one-pass scrubbing operation may not be satisfactory and a “double-scrub” operation may be required. This operation is the same as a

one-pass scrubbing except on the ﬁ rst pass the squeegee is in the up position (press the Vacuum Switch (O) to raise the squeegee). This allows the cleaning solution to remain on the ﬂ oor to work longer. The ﬁ nal pass is made over the same area, with the squeegee lowered to pick up the accumulated solution.

11 The recovery tank has an automatic ﬂ oat shut-off to prevent solution from entering the vacuum system when the recovery tank is full. When the ﬂ oat shut-off is activated,

the control system will shut down the scrub, vacuum, solution and detergent (EcoFlex models) systems. The Scrub Pressure / Hourmeter Display (G) will display “FULL”. To clear the display, press the Scrub OFF Switch (B), Scrub Pressure Decrease Switch (D), Scrub Pressure Increase Switch (F) or the Vacuum Switch (O). When the ﬂ oat closes, the recovery tank must be emptied. The machine will not pick up water with the ﬂ oat closed. NOTE: If the control repeatedly gives a full indication when the tank is not full, the automatic shut-off feature can be disabled, have a qualiﬁ ed service technician refer to the service manual to perform this function.

12 When the operator wants to stop scrubbing or the recovery tank is full, press the Scrub OFF Switch (B) once. This will automatically stop the scrub brushes and solution

ﬂ ow and the scrub deck will raise UP. NOTE: the vacuum/squeegee system will not be turned off when the switch is only pressed once, this is to allow any remaining water to be picked up without turning the vacuum back on. Press the switch a second time and the squeegee will raise and the vacuum will stop after a 10 second delay.

13 Drive the machine to a designated waste water “DISPOSAL SITE” and empty the recovery tank. To empty, pull the Drain Hose (21) from its rear storage area, then

remove the plug (hold the end of the hose above the water level in the tank to avoid sudden, uncontrolled ﬂ ow of waste water). Reﬁ ll the solution tank and continue scrubbing.

WET VACUUMING

Steps to follow in ﬁ tting the machine with optional attachments for wet vacuuming. 1 Disconnect the recovery hose from the squeegee. Connect the coupler and hose from the wand kit to the recovery hose. 2 Attach suitable wet pick-up tools to the hose. (An optional Wand Kit PN56314307 is available from Nilﬁ sk). 3 Turn the Master Key Switch (J) ON, next press the Wand Switch (I). The vacuum motor and pump will run continuously until the switch is pressed again to turn them OFF.

NOTE: If the control repeatedly gives a full indication when the tank is not full, the automatic shut-off feature can be disabled, have a qualiﬁ ed service technician perform this function.

AFTER USE

1 When ﬁ nished scrubbing, press the Scrub Off Switch (B) twice, this will automatically raise, retract and stop all the machine systems (brush, squeegee,

vacuum, solution and detergent (EcoFlex models)). Then drive the machine to a service area for daily maintenance and review of other needed service up keep.

2 To empty the solution tank, remove the Solution Drain Hose (4) from it’s storage clamp. Direct the hose to a designated “DISPOSAL SITE” and remove

the plug. Rinse the tank with clean water.

3 To empty the recovery tank, pull the Recovery Tank Drain Hose (21) from its storage area. Direct the hose to a designated “DISPOSAL SITE” and

remove the plug (hold the end of the hose above the water level in the tank to avoid sudden, uncontrolled ﬂ ow of waste water). Rinse the tank with

clean water. 4 Remove the brushes or pad holders. Rinse the brushes or pads in warm water and hang up to dry. 5 Remove the squeegee, rinse it with warm water and re-install on mount. 6 Remove the hopper on cylindrical systems and clean thoroughly. Remove from either side of the machine by opening the skirt and tilting the hopper up

and away from housing, then pull out. 7 Check the maintenance schedule below and perform any required maintenance before storage

8 Store the machine indoors in a clean dry place. Keep from freezing. Leave the tanks open to air them out. 9 Turn the Master Key Switch (J) OFF (O) and remove the key.

LUBRICATING THE MACHINE

Once a month, pump a small amount of grease into each grease ﬁ tting on the machine until grease seeps out around the bearings.

Grease ﬁ tting locations are:

• Squeegee Caster Wheel Axle

• Steering Wheel Shaft Universal joint

Once a month, apply light machine oil to lubricate the:

• Steering Chain

• General Pivot Points For the Squeegee, Brush Linkage and Side Skirts

• Squeegee mount angle adjustment knob threads

CHARGING THE BATTERIES

Charge the batteries each time the machine is used, or whenever the Battery Condition Meter (K) is showing a yellow , red or ﬂ ashing red indicator light(s). To Charge the Batteries... 1 Depress the Battery Disconnect (13).

2 Open the Battery Compartment Cover (16) to provide proper ventilation. 3 Push the connector from the charger into the Battery Connector (22). 4 Follow the instructions on the battery charger. 5 Check the ﬂ uid level in all battery cells after charging the batteries. Add distilled water, if necessary, to bring the ﬂ uid level up to the bottom of the ﬁ ller

tubes.

WARNING!

Do not ﬁ ll the batteries before charging. Only charge batteries in a well-ventilated area. Do not smoke while servicing the batteries.

CAUTION!

To avoid damage to ﬂ oor surfaces, always wipe water and acid from the top of the batteries after charging.

CHECKING THE BATTERY ELECTROLYTE LEVEL

Check the electrolyte level of the batteries at least once a week.

After charging the batteries, remove the vent caps and check the electrolyte level in each battery cell. Use distilled water to ﬁ ll the batteries to the bottom of the ﬁ ller tube. Do not over-ﬁ ll the batteries!

CAUTION!

Acid can spill onto the ﬂ oor if the batteries are overﬁ lled.

Tighten the vent caps. If there is acid on the batteries, wash the tops of the batteries with a solution of baking soda and water (2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of water).

SQUEEGEE MAINTENANCE

If the squeegee leaves narrow streaks or water, the blades may be dirty or damaged. Remove the squeegee, rinse it under warm water and inspect the blades. Reverse or replace the blades if they are cut, torn, wavy or worn.

To Reverse or Replace the Rear Squeegee Wiping Blade...

1 See Figure 3. Raise the squeegee tool off the ﬂ oor, then unsnap the Rear Squeegee Blade Removal Latch (A) on the squeegee tool. 2 Remove the Tension Strap (B). 3 Slip the rear blade off the alignment pins. 4 The squeegee blade has 4 working edges. Turn the blade so a clean, undamaged edge points toward the front of the machine. Replace the blade if all

4 edges are nicked, torn or worn to a large radius. 5 Install the blade, following the steps in reverse order and adjust the squeegee tilt.

To Reverse or Replace the Front Squeegee Blade...

1 Raise the squeegee tool off the ﬂ oor, then loosen the (2) Thumb Nuts (C) on top of the squeegee and remove the squeegee tool from the mount. 2 Loosen the Front Squeegee Blade Removal Thumb Nut (D), then remove Tension Strap (E) and blade. 3 The squeegee blade has 4 working edges. Turn the blade so a clean, undamaged edge points toward the front of the machine. Replace the blade if all

4 edges are nicked, torn or worn to a large radius. 4 Install the blade, following the steps in reverse order and adjust the squeegee tilt.

SQUEEGEE ADJUSTMENT

There are two squeegee tool adjustments possible, angle and height. Adjust the squeegee angle whenever a blade is reversed or replaced, or if the squeegee is not wiping the ﬂ oor dry. 1 Park the machine on a ﬂ at, even surface and lower the squeegee. Then drive the machine forward enough to have the squeegee blades fold over to

the rear. 2 Adjust the squeegee tilt and height using the Squeegee Tilt Adjust Knob (24) and Squeegee Height Wheel (F) so that the rear squeegee blade touches

the ﬂ oor evenly across its entire width and is bent over slightly as shown in the squeegee cross section.

SIDE SKIRT MAINTENANCE (DISC SYSTEM)

The side skirt’s function is to channel the waste water to the squeegee, helping contain the water within the machines cleaning path. During normal use the blades will wear in time. The operator will notice a small amount of water leaking out underneath the side skirts. A height adjustment can easily be made to lower the blades so that all the water can be pick-up by the squeegee.

To reverse or replace the scrub system side skirt(s) ...

1 See Figure 4. Loosen the (2) side skirt Retainer Knobs (A) (2 per side) and pull the Skirt Assemblies (B) off from the scrub deck. 2 Remove all the hardware that holds the blades to the skirt housings. 3 Replace the blades as a set if they are nicked, torn or worn beyond their ability to be adjusted. 4 Reinstall the skirt housing assemblies onto the machine and adjust the blade for proper contact to the ﬂ oor when the brush deck is placed in the scrub

position.

SIDE SKIRT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (DISC SYSTEM)

1 The side skirt housing knob retainer screw studs have leveling Adjuster Collars (C), that are to be raised or lowered to compensate for blade wear. 2 To adjust, remove the Skirt Assemblies (B) from the Scrub Deck (D) to access the Adjuster Collars (C). Adjustment Tip: The skirts Retainer Knobs (A)

can be loosened with skirts left on and the Adjuster Collars (C) rotated by reaching under the skirt housing. Turn the Adjuster Collars 3 (C) (Up or Down) to where the blades just fold over enough when scrubbing that all the waste water is contained inside the skirting. Note: Make small adjustments to obtain good blade wiping. Do not lower the blades too much to where they fold over excessively and cause unneeded blade wear.

SIDE SKIRT MAINTENANCE (CYLINDRICAL SYSTEM)

The operator will notice a small amount of water leaking out underneath the side skirts. Skirt height adjustment is automatic on this system. The skirt assemblies should move up and down freely for proper operation.

To replace the scrub system side skirt(s) ... 1 See Figure 5. Remove the (2) (A) Cotter Pins and swing the Skirt Assemblies open. Remove the (B) Screws and Nuts, remove the Skirts and replace.
