The external parts of class H and class M appliances b)
must be decontaminated by cleaning and vac u um ing
methods, dedusted or treat ed with sealant be fore
being taken out of a haz ard ous zone. All parts of
the appliance must be considered as con tam i nat ed
when they are re moved from the haz ard ous zone
and ap pro pri ate actions must be tak en to prevent
dust from dis pers ing.
When servicing work or repairs are carried out, all
the contaminated el e ments that cannot be cleaned
well must be elim i nat ed.
These elements must be dis posed of in sealed bags
con form ing to the ap pli ca ble reg u la tions and in ac-
cord ance with the local laws governing the dis pos al
of such material.
This procedure must also be followed when the
fi l ters are eliminated (main, Hepa and downstream
fi l ters).
Note: Compartments that are not dust-tight must be
opened with suitable tools (screwdrivers, wrenches,
etc.) and thoroughly cleaned.
In addition, the fi ltering effectiveness of class H c)
appliances should be checked at least once a year
or even more often if so specifi ed by national law.
The fi ltering effectiveness of the appliance can be
tested following the testing procedure explained in
the norm DIN EN 60335-2-69 AA.22.201.2. If the out-
come is negative the test has to be repeated with a
new primary fi lter.
ATTENTION: this appliance contains powders that d)
are harmful for one’s health. All maintenance work
and emptying, including removing the powder from
the container, must be done by specialized perso-
nnel only and they must wear protective clothing.
Do not start without the complete fi ltering system
in place.
This appliance is not to be used by people (inclu-e)
ding children) with physical or sensorial problems
or mental diffi culties or with little education and/
or knowledge who must always be supervised by
skilled people or be instructed by them on how to
use the appliance.
ATTENTION DANGER !
Only use genuine spare parts supplied and authorized
by the Manufacturer.
How to disassemble and re place the main and Hepa fi lters
ATTENTION DANGER !
When the vacuum cleaner is used to clean up hazardous
substances, the fi lters be come contaminated, thus:
work with care and avoid spilling the vacuumed dust and/or material;
place the disassembled and/or re placed fi lter in a -
sealed plastic bag;
close the bag hermetically; dispose of the fi lter in ac cord ance with the current -
laws.
ATTENTION DANGER !
Filter replacement is a se ri ous matter.
The fi lter must be re placed with one of identical cha-
r ac ter is tics, fi lter surface and category.
Failing this, the vacuum clean er will not op er ate cor rect ly.
Primary fi lter re place ment -
ATTENTION DANGER !
Check the Class of the vacuum cleaner (L - M - H).
Take care not to raise dust when this operation is car ried out.
Wear a P3 mask and other pro tec tive cloth ing plus pro tec tive gloves (DPI) suit ed to the haz ard ous na ture of
the dust col lect ed. Refer to the relative laws in force.
Before proceeding with this op er a tion, turn off the machine
and remove the plug from the power socket.
Replace the primary fi lter -
Disassembly (fi g. 12)
Remove plug “A”, unscrew the nut un der neath and remove lever “B”.
Release the closing clips “C” and remove the head “D”.
Lift fi lter “E”, un screw clamp “F” and remove ring “G”. -
Unscrew cage “H” and turn the fi lter upside down. -
Cut the plastic clamps “I” and de tach the cage from the fi lter.
