MRC-6430 MULTI-ROOM CONTROL

Transform any home into an enviable oasis.

New to Auriel: Built-in steaming audio services, climate and lighting control, plus remote access features. These are added to the already

award-winning whole home audio controller. At the heart of the Auriel experience is the MRC-6430 chassis, powered by the Niles Auriel

software and app. The MRC-6430 integrates multi-room audio, home theater, climate, and lighting control in a way that is as intuitive

for the installer to set up as it is easy for the homeowner to enjoy. Auriel raises the bar for integrator-friendly setup. Through the

Auriel Wizard and a tablet or PC, the installer is whisked through simple decisions that quickly conﬁgure the system for sources,

zone preferences, user interface customization, home theater control, lighting scenes and thermostat programming.

It takes only minutes to personalize the Niles Auriel for each project.

For larger homes, two MRC-6430s can be paired to create a 12-zone system. Additionally, all zones are

equipped with ﬁxed or variable pre-outs, making it easy to add power and volume with Niles Systems

Integration Ampliﬁers. An optional Niles DBI-2 interface enables homeowners to route their doorbell

through the system, which temporarily mutes music so that the doorbell can be clearly heard in

every room. The updated user interface renders identically across devices and can be managed

from the nHR200 handheld remote, nKP7 keypad or nTP7/nTP4 touch panels, as well as

the iPhone®, iPad®, Android® phones & tablets, and Windows® or Mac® computers.

WEB BASED IP CONFIGURATION

The SI-1650’s Web browser conguration tool allows you to assign any of the 16 inputs or combination of inputs to any channel output for ultimate control. The conguration tool also gives you precise line level audio controls, output presets, selectable high output modes; any stereo pair to a single 100W high power channel (8ch, 100W per/ch) and selectable high pass and low pass lter for use with subwoofers. Additionally you can save your settings to use on your next installation, saving you time and money every time you install one.

FREEDOM FROM NOISE AND CROSS-TALK

Niles incorporates advanced PCB construction ensuring extremely high channel to channel isolation. Signal to noise ratios and cross-talk are equivalent to a professional mixing board found in a recording studio.

THE BUSMATRIX® SELECTOR

Each channel has a selection of four options: left bus, right bus, left plus right bus (summed stereo), or the channel’s dedicated input . The BusMatrix Selector is now congurable via a web browser in the SI-1650.

The DS Directed Soundfield

Ceiling-Mount Loudspeaker

When Niles presented the first Directed Soundfield™ (DS) loudspeakers in 2001 at CEDIA Expo in Indianapolis, everyone was astounded by the performance and versatility they provided. People quickly agreed that the unique design with fully adjustable, independent pivoting woofer and tweeter enabled DS loudspeakers to re-create high-fidelity sound accurately, regardless of where in the ceiling they were located. Ever since then, tens of thousands of DS loudspeakers have been delighting customers in distributed audio and home theater systems around the world.

The latest generation of Directed Soundfield loudspeakers ingeniously combines design aesthetics, advanced technology, and installation versatility to address the challenges professional system integrators face today. These challenges include seamless integration with high-design décor, containing unwanted sound from bleeding into other rooms, and lifelike sonic quality not available from conventional loudspeakers. To do this, we took the best ideas from the original DS design architecture and infused them with significant and innovative new features.

The features include magnetically attached MicroThin appearance, and an optional Rear Wave Control enclosure that significantly reduces the sound bleed into adjacent rooms. Also included is a spring-tensioned mounting clamp system that tightly secures the loudspeaker—even if the mounting surface expands or contracts.

DESIGN TIP #1

Position Loudspeakers Between 12’ to 15’ of the Listening Area

This guideline may sound simple, but it’s amazing how often

it’s ignored. By positioning the loudspeakers between 12’

(3.7m) to 15’ (4.7m) of the listening area, you provide quality

sound for the listeners at comfortable volume levels, without

the need for huge amounts of ampliﬁer power.

More Loudspeakers Are Better Than More Power

When you have an oversized or a particularly large outdoor

space, it’s always better to add more loudspeakers than more

power. In this Design Tip, we’ll start with the same listening

area from Design Tip #1, but we’ll add a pool area that’s

30’ (9m) away. You could boost the ampliﬁer power so the

patio speakers play loud enough to reach the pool, but that

would be too loud for those people on the patio. The better

solution is more speakers to evenly distribute the sound at

comfortable volume levels.

Provide Independent Volume Controls for each Listening Area

Ideally, each listening area should be equipped with a way to

adjust the volume. Installing a keypad or volume control for

each listening area adds that extra ﬂexibility to the outdoor

High-Fidelity Wideband IR Extender Systems

Niles offers the most advanced line of IR extender systems on the market today. Our IR Sensors have been redesigned to make them compatible with a new generation of IR code formats found on many new high-definition, multimedia source devices. The sensors feature a high-fidelity wideband amplifier that can accurately pass these IR code formats, Philips RCMM codes. In addition, a patent–pending Universal Noise Suppression design effectively eliminates IR interference from plasmas, LCDs, and CFL lighting while maintaining signal integrity. This two-stage technology combines an optical noise filter with a “smart” electronic circuit to provide consistent, reliable control. Best of all, these advanced technologies are found in each new Niles IR Sensor.
