features you use the most. It includes the four basic
math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication,

ERRORS
Your calculator displays ERROR and does not allow fur-
calculations if you:

• try to divide by zero.

Constant Calculations
Press = to repeat the last function.

For addition, subtraction, and division, the value you enter
before pressing = is the constant. For multiplication, the
value you enter before pressing × is the constant.
Memory Calculations
To store a value in memory, first press (memory recall/
cle
ar) twice to clear the memory, then press ON/C to clear
l calculations.

To add a value to memory, enter the number or calculation
you want to add, then press
current calculation (if one is pending) and adds that value
to memory.
M+. The calculator totals the
MEMORY appears to show that a value is stored in memo-
ry.
To subtract a value from memory, enter the number or calculation you want to subtract, then press M–. The calculator totals the current calculation (if one is pending) and
subtracts that value from memory.
To recall the value from memory, press . The memory
value appears.
To clear the contents in memory, press twice so MEM-
ORY disappears.
Modifying or tampering with the calculator’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its
warranty. If your calculator is not performing as it should,
take it to your local electronic store for assistance.
Follow these steps to replace the battery.
1. Place the calculator face down on a flat surface.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw securing the back cover.
3. Slide the back cover down to remove it.
4. Remove the old battery.
5. Position the new battery so the positive (+) side is up,
then press the battery into the battery holder.
6. Slide the front and back case halves back together,
then reinsert and tighten the screw.

REPLACING THE BATTERY
Although your calculator uses solar power most of the
time, the supplied backup battery will eventually become
weak and need to be replaced. If the display dims or the
calculator speed slows down, replace the battery with a
type 389A button-cell battery. For the best performance
and longest life, we recommend alkaline batteries.
