NEX-1736 CNC Battery Replacement Unit (3.6V BRU)
The Nexas Battery Replacement Unit (BRU) is a chargeable high capacity battery pack
designed to be a permanent replacement for single use Lithium cells commonly used in
CNC equipment (like Yasnac i80s that use 2 of the 3.6VDC model). The Dual and Quad
BRU Line comes with a variety of output voltages (3.0, 3.6, 4.5 & 6.0VDC), and various
battery plug ends to make installation easy.
This smart microprocessor controlled unit can be mounted by VELCRO, or optionally via
dual magnets (22lb pull total). One must connect the 24VDC power first, and then change
the battery connector (with the CNC power on to avoid data loss). A full backup of CNC
parameters is always recommended.

The MOLICEL INR-18650-P26A Industrial Lithium Batteries are the best we have been
able to source. They provide 3.6 VDC output, and at 2800mAh they have a stored energy
capacity of 10.3Wh. That means an NEX-1736 Dual BRU has 20.6 Watts of CNC backup
power in 2 banks – more than enough to give you peace of mind.
With automatic recharging when the power on, they will last you for many years. They are
a good investment, but more importantly, they eliminate your regular CNC battery
maintenance, and so add to your peace of mind.
