Presto! Forms is especially designed to make light work of forms by allowing you
to scan forms and edit each of the fields within the form. Presto! Forms’ powerful
recognition engine automatically detects the existence of lines, identifies the
beginning of fields and checkboxes as user define Further, Presto! Forms allows
you to easily add sticky notes, draw lines and stamp impressions onto the image
file. Presto! Forms’ Pixel Edit tool (the pixelizer) allows you to edit the actual
pixels within an image. Presto! Forms allows you to keep multiple page forms in
one file, instead of separating them into one file for each page.

Menu Bar
The Menu bar contains a comprehensive set of file management and editing
features whose equivalents may be found on the Tool bar.
Command Tool bar
The Command Tool bar runs along the top of the Presto! Forms window and
contains File & Page Handling, faxing, scanning, printing, annotating and editing
tools. Every tool on the Tool bar has an equivalent command in the Tools and Edit
menus.

Main Screen
Thumbnail Window
The Thumbnail View contains a set of miniaturized images (about the size of a
thumbnail). The thumbnails are enumerated in ascending order from the top. The
top most thumbnail is page one and the last thumbnail is the last page.
Click a thumbnail to open it out on the desktop.
Dragging and dropping the thumbnails onto their new positions in the gallery can
change the order in which the thumbnails appear. In addition, you can drag and
drop the thumbnails to trash can for delete page.
Status Bar
Displays the information relating to the current procedure.
Scale Field
Displays the current scale of the page on the screen.
Rulers
The vertical/horizontal rulers help you locate positions accurately on the page and
align selected fields. Change the units of the rulers by clicking on the Ruler control
at the intersection of the rulers.
Page View
The Page View screen shows a page that was selected from the Thumbnail
Windows.
Ruler Control
Allows you to change the units of the rulers or to hide the rulers.

The process of filling in awkward forms neatly and legibly is frustrating to most
people, because a single mistake is usually irreversible. As said in the introduction,
Presto! Forms’ strength is recognizing fields within forms and turning them into
editable entities.
Getting forms
Getting forms from your hard disk or CDs
1. Ensure the image you want to import is Black & White (lineart) and of one of
PFS, TIF, BMP, or PCX formats.

2. At this point, you have a choice of methods to import the image.
Tool bar ---> Click,
saved form (.FPS). Click,
PCX, TIFF or BMP.
Open command---> Select Open from the File menu. The Open Form
dialog box will appear from which you should select a previously saved form.
Append Page command---> Select Append Page from the File menu. The
Open Image Page dialog box will appear from which you should select an
image file of type PCX, TIFF or BMP.

3. Select an image file as you would with a Windows application.
4. Click Open to place the form’s thumbnails in the Thumbnail gallery and leave
the Open Image dialog box.
You are now ready to work with the form.
Note: If a TIFF file contains more than one image, Presto! forms will
recognize only the first one.
Getting forms from a scanner
In order to get a form into Presto! Forms, you will need a scanner.
1. Select the Select Source option from the File menu.
2. Choose a Scanner interface from the Select Source dialog box. (Step1 and 2
don’t have to be repeated for every scan.)
3. Select Acquire from the File menu or click,
, on the Command Tool bar.
When your scanner driver’s interface appears, select Black & White (lineart)
as your image type. Please consult your scanner driver’s manual.
4. Select a resolution of about 300dpi. This will increase Presto! Forms’ ability
to recognize objects on the form.
5. Click the Scan button on your scanner interface.
The scanner will be activated, scan an image into the Thumbnail Gallery and open
it in Page View.

Managing pages
Opening Presto! Forms files
Presto! Forms can only open files of type “.PFS”.
1. Select the Open command from the File menu, or press the [Ctrl] and [O]
keys simultaneously. Alternatively, click the Open File button, on the
Command Tool bar. You will be prompted to save the page you are currently
working on. The Open Form dialog box will appear.
2. Select a file from the Open Form dialog box as you would when opening a
normal Windows file.
The chosen form’s pages will be placed in the Thumbnail gallery. The first page of
which will be placed in the Page View.
Appending Pages
The Append Page command adds a page onto the current page on the desktop.
1. Select the Append Page command from the File menu, or press the [Ctrl] and
[+] keys simultaneously, or click the Append Page button
Command Tool.
The Open Image Page dialog box will appear.
2. Select the desired image type from the Files of type combo box.
3. Enter the image’s filename into the File name field.
4. Click the Open button to open the page on the desktop and exit the dialog
box.
Alternatively, double click on the desired file in the list box. The image file will be
opened out on the desktop.

Removing Pages
There are two ways to remove pages.
1. Select the Remove Page command from the File menu, or press the [Ctrl]
and [-] keys simultaneously, or click the Remove Page button
Command Tool bar.
2. Or, drag the thumbnail belonging to the image to the Trash can.
The image will be removed from Presto! Forms.

Saving Pages
There are three ways to save pages:
Choosing the Save (Ctrl+S) option stores the page, in Page View, under the same
file name as the one you used to open the file. Otherwise, this option will display a
dialog box asking you to give a file name if you began the file by choosing the
New option.
Selecting the Save As (F2) option stores the image under a new name. The Save
As dialog box will appear, asking you to provide a new name. If the extension is
not specified, Presto! Forms automatically adds the extension .PFS.
Selecting the Save As Image command directs Presto! Forms to save the page
using only an image format.
By choosing the Current Page option from the Save As Image sub-menu, the
entire page in Page View will be saved as an image file. If you select the Selected
Portion option from the sub-menu, only the portion enclosed by the Select Image
border will be saved as the image.
Printing An Image
1. Open the image out on the desktop.

2. Click the Print button on the command toolbar or select the Print option from
the File menu. Presto! Forms will then open your Print application.
3. Select the appropriate options and click OK. Presto! Forms will send the file
to your printer.
Printing Images With or Without Annotations or Just
Annotations
1. Select the Print Preview option from the File menu or click the Print
Preview button
will appear at this point.
2. From the Printing Data section:
To print with annotations:
...click the Print Form+Data check box.
To print without annotations:
...click the Print Form Only check box.
To print annotations only:
...click the Print Data Only check box.
3. Click the Print button to print the image and annotations.

Buttons:
Print: Click this button to send the image to the printer.

Setup: Click this button to enter the Print Setup dialog box where you can make
the desired printer settings.
Close: Click this button to close the Print Preview dialog box. All the settings will
be saved automatically.
Page Navigation Buttons
Click First Page, Previous Page, Next Page, or Last Page to go to the first,
previous, next, last pages respectively.
Desktop
The desktop holds the image and presents it as a reduced image to you. Place the
cursor in the highlighted frame, the cursor will then change to a hand.
Rulers: The rulers provide highlighted width and heights of the pages.
Units: The Units are determined from the Units checkboxes at the bottom right
side.
Screen: The screen displays a reduced version of the page to be printed. You may
move the page within the screen as you would do with the move tool.
Printing Data
Print Form + Data: The page plus its annotations will be printed.
Print Form Only: Only the page will be printed. The annotations will be
disregarded.
Print Data Only: Only the annotations will be printed. The actual page will be
ignored.
Print Offset
Left: Enter the offset for the left margin in inches, or centimeters, or pixels
depending on the selection made in the Units section.
Top: Enter the offset for the top margin in inches, or centimeters, or pixels
depending on the selection made in the Units section.

Printing Options
These options specify the alignment with respect to the page edge.
Paper Margins: The margin will be offset by the amount specified in the Print
Offset section above.
Print Margins: The Print margins define the distance between the page edge and
the printer edge.
Horz center: Aligns the image on the vertical axis of symmetry.
Vert. center: Aligns the image on the horizontal axis of symmetry.
Units
Click one of the check boxes to change the units on the rulers to inches,
centimeters, or pixels.
Apply to All Pages
Applies the settings to all pages.
Sending A Fax
The Fax button opens a fax application from which you can send out a fax.
To send a fax:
1. Open the image out on the desktop.
2. Click the Fax button
from the File menu. Presto! Forms will then open your fax application.
3. Create the fax message you want to send.
For instructions on creating a fax message, see the documentation for your fax
application.

Editing a page
Filling In Forms
This is the part you’ve been waiting for ! Once the form is being viewed in Page
View, you can enter text details into the form’s fields. To enter text:
1. Select the Text tool,
and [F9] keys simultaneously. Alternatively, select the Text tool from the
Tools menu.
Below the Command Tool bar you will see the Text attributes bar. This bar
contains all the tools necessary to style, color and format text.
2. Select the font face, size and style from the attributes’ bar. Alternatively,
select the Tool Setup dialog box option from the Tools menu or press the
[Ctrl] and [T] keys simultaneously. The Tool Setup dialog box will appear.
3. Click on one of the alignment tools to place the text at the left side of a field,
in the center, or at the right side of field. Therefore, when you click the Text
cursor inside a form’s border the cursor will align itself at the left, center, or
right respectively.
4. Click the text cursor in a part of the form where you wish to make an entry.
The caret will align itself automatically as defined in the previous step.
5. Type in your text.

Aligning Text With An Edge
1. Select the Text tool from the command bar.
2. Open a form out on the desktop.
3. Click on a part of the form where you wish to make an entry.

Presto! Forms detects the form edges and sections, and automatically aligns the
cursor with the left most part of a section.
Further, Presto! Forms can detect the existence of check boxes. Click once on the
check box, and an “X” will be placed in it.
Cutting/Copying/Pasting
Pasting
Clicking the Paste button copies the selected field or image portion, contained in
the Windows clipboard, onto a portion of the page selected by the selector tool.
In order to cut or copy, you must use the selector tool,
, to define the area you
want to capture.
Cutting
Choosing the Cut option removes selected objects or the image portion in the
selected area as specified by the selector tool and places it on Windows Clipboard.
Copying
Choosing the Copy option duplicates selected objects or a selected portion of the
image in the desktop onto Windows clipboard, but does not remove the fields or
the image portion in the selected area of the page.
Undoing an Operation
To undo an operation:
Select the Undo command (Ctrl +Z) from the Edit menu.

Click the Undo button

Moving an Image About the Desktop
The image can be moved in any direction around the desktop.
1. Click the Move tool
from the Tools menu. A hand cursor will appear.
2. Place the cursor on the image and drag to the desired position.

Moving Annotation Objects
1. Use the Selector tool to select the annotation objects.
2. Place the cursor inside the selection area of an object.
3. Drag the cursor to re-position the object.
Editing Text
Presto! Forms allows textual editing of onscreen objects. Text can be created,
edited and placed on the image via a pop-up text editor.
1. Select Text Edit (Ctrl + Enter) from the Edit menu. A pop-up screen will
appear at the bottom of the screen.
2. Enter text as you would in a normal text editor.
3. Press Esc or the Close Window button on the top-right corner of the pop-up
screen to enter the text directly onto the image.
Note: Once the text is on the image it cannot be moved. So, use this
option with care.
Or
Press F3 on your keyboard to enter the text as a movable object.

Erasing Parts of An image
The eraser eradicates unwanted blemishes - not just the wrinkles around the eyes.
1. Select the Eraser tool
from the Tools menu or click the eraser icon on
the tool bar. The Eraser cursor will appear when floated over the desktop.
2. Select the erasure area (the area erased per swipe of the eraser) from the Pixel
width combo box on the tool bar. Also, select a shape for the area from the
adjacent combo box.
3. With the cursor, click once on the portion you wish to erase.
4. Alternatively, erase by dragging the eraser cursor across the unwanted portion.
Checking Checkboxes
As said earlier, Presto! Forms can detect checkboxes of dimensions by user define.
First of all, you must tell Presto! Forms what kind of checkmark you want to place
in the checkbox.
1. Select the Tools Setup option from the Tools menu or press the [Ctrl] and [T]
keys simultaneously. The Tool Setup dialog box will appear.
2. Select the Text tool option from the list box.
3. Next, from the Check Box section fill in the required entries according to the
description given below:
Fill in data: Enter the symbol or text you wish to use as your checkmark.
Font: Choose a font from the drop-down list box.
Color: Choose a color for the checkmark from drop-down list.
Detect: Enter the smallest and largest point size that will be used to recognize
a checkbox in the “from” and “to” fields respectively.

4. Once your selections are made, click the OK button.
5. Locate a checkbox on your form.
6. Click once inside the check box to place the symbol you defined earlier in step
3 (in the Fill in Data field).
Note If you want to define a symbol as your check mark, it is best to
choose Wingdings or Symbols from the Font drop-down list box.
Tip: In order to place symbols into the Fill in Data field in step 3, it
would be a good idea if you use the Font … option in the
Character menu to figure out which alpha-numeric key
corresponds to which symbol.
Changing Colors
1. Select a drawing or annotation tool option from the Tool menu or click the
appropriate Tool icon on the command tool bar.
2. From the color combo box, select a color for the object area.
The object will be tinted or colored with the chosen color.
Alternatively,
1. Select the Tool Setup (Ctrl + T) option from the Tools menu.
2. Select the appropriate tool from the Tool: list box.
3. Select the desired colors from the properties section.
Selecting annotation objects
To edit an annotation you must first select it.
1. Click the Selector tool on the tool bar.

2. Drag the cursor diagonally such that a dotted frame encloses the objects.
3. When you release the mouse button, the objects will have nodes on them
indicating that you can change their position and shape.
Annotating a page
Annotating images
Annotating forms is a good idea when you want to attach reminders and notes
about the contents of a form without disrupting its contents. The annotations can
be displayed or hidden at the user’s discretion. So, for example, you will see that
forms can be printed with or without annotations. Moreover, you may just print out
annotations only. Annotating involves adding text, highlighting, free hand
drawing, drawing lines, adding sticky notes and stamping. This section tells you
how to make an impression with the annotation tools.
Adding text
1. Select the Text tool option from the Tool menu or click the Text tool icon,
, on the Command Tool bar.
2. From the Character menu, select the Font option in order to change the font
size, style and type. The Font dialog box will appear from which you should
make your selections.
3. Click with the hand shaped cursor on the image area. A flashing vertical
stroke will appear.
4. Type in your text.
5. Use the selector tool to re-position your text on the image.
6. Save the changes.

Highlighting part of an image
1. Select the Highlight tool option from the Tool menu or click the Highlight
tool icon
2. Drag the Highlighter diagonally across the portion of the image that you want
to highlight. A translucent rectangle will appear.
3. If necessary, use the Selector tool to move the highlighted rectangle.

Scribbling
1. Select the Freehand Tool option from the Tool menu or click the Freehand
tool icon on the command tool bar.
2. Simply draw with the freehand cursor on the image area as you would with a
pencil.
3. If necessary, use the selector to move the finished drawing.
Drawing lines
1. Select the Line Tool option from the Tool menu or click the Line tool icon on
the Command Tool bar. A cross-hair cursor will appear on the image area
and the line attribute tools will appear on the Command Tool bar.
2. Make selections from the attributes tools on the Command Tool bar.
3. Drag the crosshair cursor to the desired length and release it to form the line.
A line will appear with the specified line attributes.
Specifying line attributes
This topic deals with specifying attributes for straight lines (which is created by
Line tool); such as line width and arrow heads on the end of the line.

1. From the Line Width combo box, select the desired line width.
2. From the Line Color combo box, select the desired color for the new line.
3. From the Line Style (Arrow Head) combo box, select whether you want an
arrow tipped line.
Adding sticky notes
1. Open an image on the desktop.
2. Click the Sticky Note icon and then click where you want it positioned. The
Sticky Note dialog box will appear.
3. Enter a suitable topic for the note in the Topic field, and enter the desired text
in the text field below that. You can edit and move just like any text file.
Stamping impressions
The stamp attributes should be set before proceeding: From the Tools menu, select
the Tool Setup (Ctrl + T) option in order to change the stamp attributes.
1. Click the Stamp icon
on the tool bar or select the Stamp option from the
Tool menu.
The Stamp attributes options will appear along the tool bar.
Pre-set Text for the Stamp:
Choose suitable text from this combo box. The text is pre-defined in the Tools
Setup dialog box.
Font:
Choose a font type.
Font Size:
Choose a font size.

Stamp Alignment:
Choose one of the text alignment options: Left Justified, Center, Right
Justified.
Stamp Frame Option:
Click to thicken or slim the line width of the frame.
Color:
Choose a color from the combo box.
2. On the image area, position the stamp cursor.
3. Click once to leave an impression on the document or image face.
Using Pixel Editor
Editing with the Pixel Editor
The Pixel Editor transforms the image into an editable pixel map - It pixelizes the
image.
1. Click the Pixel Editor tool on the tool bar. The desktop will change to a grid
like pattern. You may switch the grid off by clicking the (non-grid) icon. The
cursor will change to a pen.
2. From the grid aspect box, choose a suitable scale in which to draw with the
pen.
3. From the pen width combo box, choose the desired pen width.
4. Click or drag to create dots or scribbles.
Altering Pixel Editor's scale
1. Click the arrow on the Pixel Editor’s scale box.

2. Choose a scale from the drop down menu.
The desktop will resize accordingly to present you with the adjusted scale.
Adjusting the Pixel Editor’s pen width
1. Click the arrow on the Pixel Pen Width combo box.
2. Select a pen width from the selection in the drop-down list.
The nib of the pen will be resized accordingly.
Switching The Pixel Grid On or Off
When you use the Pixel Editor, you may want to switch the grid pattern on or off.
Simply click to switch the pattern on, and to turn it off.
Filling with Paint
If you want to fill the entire image with a particular color, use the Fill tool.
1. Enter the Pixel Editor by clicking the Pixel Editor button, on the tool bar.
2. Click the Fill button
A block will be filled with black paint.

File Menu
The File menu manages all file operations.
New
Choosing the New command or button creates a blank desktop into which you can
import the images of forms.
Open

Selecting the Open command allows you to retrieve a previously saved form and
place it in the desktop. You can open multiple files at once.
Save
The Save command saves the open page under its existing file name. If you open a
new page by choosing Append Page from the File menu, the Save As dialog box
will be displayed asking you to give a file name.
Save As Image
The Save As Image command allows you to save the current page or selection
area as an image.

Save As
The Save As option allows you to save the working file under a new name. The
Save As dialog box will appear asking you to provide a new name. If the extension
is not specified, Presto! Forms automatically adds .PFS.
Acquire
The Acquire command begins scanning the image from the selected source. The
acquired (scanned) image will be placed in the desktop and its thumbnail in the
Thumbnail gallery.
Select Source
Selects the scanning source for acquisition.
1. Choose Select Source from the File menu to display the Select Source dialog
box.
2. From the dialog box, please select the desired acquisition device.
Use the Acquire command to start scanning.
Append Page
The Append Page command/button adds a page onto the current page on the
desktop.
1. Select the Append Page command from the File menu, or press the [Ctrl] and
[+] keys simultaneously, or click the Append Page button, on the Command
Tool.
The Open Image Page dialog box will appear.
2. Select the desired image type from the Files of type combo box.
3. Enter the image’s filename into the file name field.

4. Click the Open button to open the page on the desktop and exit the dialog
box.

Remove Page
There are two ways to remove pages.

The image will be removed from Presto! Forms.
Send To...
The Send To.. command initiates your mail server application. The page will
automatically be attached to the mail item. All you have to do is complete the mail
item as normal.
Printer Setup
The Printer Setup command allows you to change the printer default settings. The
print setting dialog box will appear, asking you to give the new settings.
Print
The Print command spools the open page to a printer. The Print dialog box will
appear asking you to choose your desired printer, paper-size etc.

Print Preview
This command calls the Print Preview dialog box. The Print Preview dialog box
allows you to set up the way pages are handled by your printer: For instance, you
may want annotations printed with your image, or just the image without
annotations or only the annotations.
Fax
The Fax command/button sends the current form to your fax driver.
Fax Setup
The Fax Setup command changes the fax settings.
Exit
Choosing the Exit option closes Presto! Forms.
Edit Menu
The Edit menu offers the following commands:
Undo (Ctrl+Z)
The Undo tool/command reverses the action of the last command or operation.
Cut (Ctrl+X)
Use this command/button to remove the currently selected data from the image and
put it on the clipboard. This command is unavailable if there is no data currently
selected.
Cutting data to the clipboard replaces the contents previously stored there.

Copy (Ctrl+C)
Use this command/tool to copy selected data onto the clipboard. This command is

Use this command to insert a copy of the clipboard contents into the page. This
command is unavailable if the clipboard is empty.
Clear (Del)
The Clear command deletes the active or selected portion of an image or
annotations.
Alignment
The Alignment command is especially designed for forms, which have boxes or
checkboxes included in their format. The Alignment command aligns the text with
the left, center, right, top, or bottom of a text field.
Just select an alignment option from the Alignment sub-menu in the Edit menu.
Rotate
The rotate command rotates the image:
Left 90 - Turns the image counter-clockwise by 90 degrees.
180 - Turns the image upside-down. i.e. rotates the image clockwise by 180
degrees.
Left 270 - Turns the image counter-clockwise by 270 degrees.

Select All (Ctrl +A)
Choosing the Select All option specifies all the fields of the current page as
selected fields.
Text Edit (Ctrl+Enter)
The Text Edit option displays a caption screen where you can freely enter text that
will be added to the actual image as an annotation.
1. Select the Text Edit option from the Edit menu or press the [Ctrl] and
[Enter] keys simultaneously. A rectangular text box - the caption screen- will
appear on the desktop.
2. Enter text into the Text box.
3. Change tools or press the [Esc] key to enter the text on the image and leave
the Text box
View Menu
The View menu controls the area of the screen showing the information about the
current file.
Fit Window Width- Choosing the Fit Window Width option fits the entire preset
page into the width of Page View, so that you will always see the entire page
regardless of the width of the Page View.
25% - Choosing the 25% Scale option displays the page at 25% of its actual size.
33% - Choosing the 33% Scale option displays the page at 33% of its actual size.
50% - Choosing the 50% Scale option displays the page at 50% of its actual size.
66% - Choosing the 66% Scale option displays the page at 66% of its actual size.
75% - Choosing the 75% Scale option displays the page at 75% of its actual size.

Actual View - Choosing the Actual Size option displays the page at its actual size.
Full Page Size - Choosing the Full Page Size option fits the entire page into Page
View.
Zoom In - Choosing the Zoom In option magnifies the page area on the screen.
Zoom Out - Choosing the Zoom Out option shrinks the page area on the screen.
Thumbnail - Checking the Thumbnail option displays the Thumbnail Gallery on
the screen and vice versa.
Toolbar - Checking the Toolbar option displays the Toolbar on the screen;
unchecking the Toolbar option removes the Toolbar from the screen.
Ruler - Checking the Ruler option displays the rulers on the screen; unchecking
the Ruler option removes the Rulers from the screen.
Tools Menu
The Tools menu is used for selecting tools. You may choose tools from the Tools
menu or the Tool bar. They are mutually equivalent.
Create New Form - Click this button to clear the Presto! Form desktop ready to
import an entirely new image.
Open Existing Form - Click this button to open an existing form and place it in
the desktop. You can open multiple files at once.
Save As - Click this button to save the form under a new file name.
Append Page - Click the Append Page button to add an extra page to the current
form on the desktop.
Remove Page - Click the Remove Page button to delete the current page on the
desktop.

Print - Sends the current form to the printer.
Fax - Sends the current form to the fax machine.
Scan An Image - Click this button to begin scanning from an attached scanner.
Please note, before you scan you must select the appropriate scanner/digital
camera driver via the Select Source option in the File menu.
Print Preview - This command calls the Print Preview dialog box. The Print
Preview dialog box allows you to set up the way pages are handled by your
printer: For instance, you may want annotations printed with your image, or just
the image without annotations, or only the annotations.
Undo - The Undo tool reverses the action of the last command or operation.
Cut - Click the Cut button to remove the currently selected data from the image
and put it on the clipboard. This command is unavailable if there is no selection.

Freehand Drawing - Lets you freely draw, underline, circle, scribble, and mark
on the image with a colored pen.
Line - Choose the Line tool to draw straight lines.
Sticky Note - Choose the Sticky Note tool to add a note to the surface of the
image. You can edit, move, and resize sticky notes.
Stamp - Click on the Stamp button and select one of the existing stamp items you
want to use. Stamp the selected item on the active page.
Selector - The selector is used to select annotation objects. Choose the Selector
tool and select an annotation object with it. Alternatively, drag the selector tool
across many annotations to select them. From that point you can move, resize,
delete or change the annotated objects.
Move - This tool is useful for panning when you are in extreme close-up without
the need to demagnify the image.
1. Choose the Move tool.
2. Click and hold the Hand cursor on the image with the left mouse key.
3. Drag to shift the entire image in the desired direction.
Eraser - Click the Eraser tool in order to erase parts of an image. The eraser tool
works just like any other eraser with the exception that you may choose the width
and the shape of the nib through the Eraser Attributes.
Pixel Editor - The Pixel Editor tool converts the image into pixel elements that
can be individually edited. The Pixel Editor attributes bar will appear beneath the
toolbar. From the attributes bar you can draw straight lines, rectangles, ellipses,
alter the Pen Width, fill a location with paint, change the scale, and switch the grid
on or off.

Help - Click this button to switch on the context sensitive help. Once the context
sensitive help is enabled, just click with the question-mark cursor on any active
component to display help relating to that component.
Character Menu
The Character menu is used for specifying the appearance of the characters in
selected field(s).
Font - Selecting the Font option allows you to specify a font. A Font dialog box
will appear on the screen in which you can choose the font type, style, and size.
Reduce Font - Choosing the Reduce Font option reduces the size of the fonts.
Enlarge Font - Choosing the Enlarge Font option enlarges the size of the fonts.
Regular - Choosing the Regular option sets the style of the fonts to the regular
style.
Bold - Choosing the Bold option sets the style of the fonts to the bold style.
Italic - Choosing the Italic option sets the style of the fonts to the Italic style.
Underline - Choosing the Underline option sets the style of the fonts to the
underline style.
Character Spacing - Selecting the Character Spacing option allows you to set
the character space between two adjacent characters.
Line Spacing - Selecting the Line Spacing option allows you to set the line space
between two adjacent lines.

Document Menu
The Document menu is used for locating a particular field and sorting all the
fields.
First Page (Ctrl + Home)- Choosing the First Page option displays the first page
in the current file.
Next Page (Ctrl+PgDn) - Choosing the Next Page option displays the next page.
Previous Page (Ctrl+PgUp) - Choosing the Previous Page option displays the
previous page.
Last Page (Ctrl + End) - Choosing the Last Page option displays the last page.
Goto Page - Select this command to go to a specified page via the Goto dialog

Microsoft Windows 3.1 Help system on the screen.
Tool Tips - Select this option to switch on the tool tips which appear when you
click a tool on the Presto! Forms product.
About Presto! Forms - Choosing the About Presto! Forms option displays some
information about Presto! Forms on the screen.

Tool Attributes
The tool attributes are governed by the Tool Setup dialog box or the attributes’
bars which appear when a tool is selected.
When you select a tool, the attributes pertaining to that tool will be shown under
the main tool bar. The descriptions for each of the tools are exactly the same as
that used in the Tool Setup dialog box.
When you select an annotation tool, the attributes pertaining to that tool will be
shown under the main tool bar. The descriptions for each of the tools are exactly
the same as that used in the Tool Setup dialog box. The Attributes are defined as
follows:
For Text Tool
, the attributes are:
Font: Selecting the Font option allows you to specify a font. The Font dialog box
will appear on the screen, you can then choose a font, style, and size.
