1. Introduction
Z831RT is a smart home, high reliability switching control equipment, 2.4GHz ISM band transceiver,
and fully compatible with ZigBee Pro protocol. The Z831RT is used as a router in the network,
allowing other devices to join the network as its sub-devices to communicate with the routers,
coordinators, and end devices of the ZigBee network.
Z831RT is used to control the switch device, mainly used for household appliances switch control
and use, and fully comply with IEEE802.15.4 ZigBee HA protocol standard.

2. Product Appearance
3. Specification
• Utilizes 2.4GHz ISM band; up to 16 channels
• Protocol based on IEEE 802.15.4 / ZigBee ProTM
• Up to 210 meters wireless transmission range in non-obstacle space
• Carrying a set of relay on/off switch with dry output

4. Installation and Preparation
4-1. Power supply
The Z831RT can be powered from DC 12V/5V/3V.
4-2. Join ZigBee network
(1) Power on Z831RT, it will start to search network automatically.
(2) If there are routers or coordinators on the same channel, available to connect; Z831RT will join automatically.
(3) Networking indicator flash: connection fails.
(4) Networking indicator stays on: connection completes.
4-3. Permit join
Z831RT as a router allows other devices to join the network:
(1) Short press the binding key once.
(2) Status indicator will flash which means allowing other devices to join network through Z831RT.
(3) After status indicator flashes 60 times within 60s, permit join function will shut off automatically and the
indicator stops flashing. During the screening process, short press the bond button, stop the network, the network
stop flashing
4-4. Binding
Z831RT can bind with On/Off (0x0006) Cluster ID of users’ devices; users can remote control on/off devices via
Z831RT. Binding steps as shown below:
(1) Available to bind devices with on/off functions such as Z501, Z503, ZB02C...etc.
(2) Long press binding key for 3 seconds; the status indicator will flash once.
(3) Release binding key and short press it for N times in order to bind the Nth channel; each short press
corresponds to a flash of status indicator.
(4) For example, to bind 1st channel with other devices. Press binding key for 3 seconds; status indicator will flash
once. Release binding key and short press it once and see a flash within 5 seconds. Z831RT will send binding
request to devices. Operate other devices to send binding inquiry as well to bind with Z831RT.
(5) Status indicator will flash 5 times and then shut off when binding completes. .
(6) Status indicator will flash 10 times and then shut off when binding fails.

4-5. Factory Setting
Z831RT is capable of storing and saving network routing information. You can join to a new network by simply
resetting the device to restore to the factory setting.
4-6. Product of attribute report

5. Netvox APP Control and Monitor
1. The device to join the Netvox system, in the APP device management interface search device IEEE, will appear
the corresponding equipment information, Z831RT has 4 EP, namely 3 On / Off Switch and an On/ Off Output, as
shown in the below figure:
2. Select one of the On / Off Switch EPs, for example, EP1 (similar to the EP operation of the same type), and enter
the setting interface (as shown in the below left figure) to set the recognition time of the operation. The local
switch mode is according to the input key type select the corresponding " Short press " or "long press" (as shown in
the below right figure), click "OK" to save and exit (Note: 3 EP button with sharing type)

3. Select On / Off Output (EP4) to enter the setting interface (as shown in the below left figure), you can set the
identify time, the power output state of the device (as shown in the below right figure), through the control bar
under the switch to control the output .
