You are now ready to enjoy the convenience of having your Caller-ID information displayed on your Television.
After you have completed the installation of your Caller-TV unit, this is what is going to happen. After the first or
second telephone ring, Caller-TV places the name and number of the incoming call at the bottom of your TV in
large easy to read letters. Depending on the installation you choose, Caller-TV displays the caller's information
on the top of a TV channel, Picture-In-Picture (PIP), or with its own "blue" screen.
Caller-TV is designed with your convenience in mind. Once Caller-TV is installed, there are no buttons to push
or remote controls to deal with. Caller-TV is designed to work with your existing Caller-ID box. Caller-TV allows
you to make an immediate decision on what to do with an incoming call. Caller-TV retains the information of the
last call until a new call comes in. A Hints section is associated with each Installation. The Hints section
explains how to display information on the last call.
Before you install your Caller-TV box, you will need to determine which installation is right for you. This will
depend on what kind of video equipment you have (cable box, VCR, Satellite Receiver, etc.) and how you want
your incoming calls displayed. Please read this manual completely to find out what options you have for
displaying your Caller-ID information and then decide which installation works best for you.
Caller-ID service or Call Display service must be activated by your telephone company for Caller-TV to work.
Call your local telephone company to make sure you have this service activated to your home.
Caller-TV is S-Video compatible. To install Caller-TV using S-Video, you need to purchase the Caller-TV SVideo Adapter Kit.

Caller-TV Display Options
Caller-TV can create its own video source or “blue” screen (Figure 1). If no
video source (VCR, Satellite Receiver, etc.) is plugged into Caller-TV, Caller-TV
creates its own video source. This allows Caller-TV to be the video input on a
Television. If a video source is turned off, Caller-TV also makes a blue screen
with information about the last call. You may use this feature to retrieve the last
call at any time.
Caller-TV can display the Caller-ID information on top of TV picture (Figure 2).
Plug a video source (VCR, Satellite Receiver, etc.) into Caller-TV and the CallerID information will be displayed on top of the picture.
After a few seconds the caller’s information will disappear from the screen. To
review the last caller’s information, turn off the video source to Caller-TV (VCR,
etc.) and the Caller-ID information will reappear on the television.
Caller-TV can be used with Picture-In-Picture (PIP) televisions (Figure 3). Hook
up Caller-TV in blue screen mode to the video input on the television and your
PIP will always display the last caller’s information.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The Cable/Antenna/Satellite system must be grounded. Contact your local electrician, satellite
!
installer or electronics store for details.
Make sure the Television is set to the proper Video Input to display the Caller-TV information.
!
This depends on the installation you choose.
!
Carefully check your wiring connections and make sure that they match the Installation.
!
Make sure the power supply included with the Caller-TV unit is plugged into an active power
receptacle and connected to the unit.
!
Make sure the Caller-TV unit is connected to an active wall phone jack that has the Caller-ID
service activated. Check with your phone company to ensure that your Call Display service is
activated.
!
If you have the Call Forwarding feature from your telephone company, the unit will not display
the Caller-ID information while Call Forwarding is turned on.
!
If you have Caller-TV connected to a second phone line, make sure that you have the Call
Display service activated on that line as well.
!
If you get scrambled or erratic characters on the Television, this usually indicates excessive
static or noise on the phone line. It is not a problem with the Caller-TV unit unless every call is
affected.
Caller-TV may not display all calls depending on the data sent by the Telephone company. The
Telephone company may not always include the name and number of the caller due to the origination
point of the call or the caller may block the Call Display.
