Group button is used to secure a powerline network , To secure your network, please refer to Appendix: Using the Group Button.

To set up a private group:
1).Pres s the G roup butto n on Ada pter A fo r 1 second and t he Po werline LE D wil l begin fla shi ng.
2).With in 2 mi nutes, pre ss th e Group butt on on Ad apter B for 1- 3 sec onds and the P LC LE D will begin f las hing as well. In a bou t 60 seconds y ou’ ll see the PLC L ED on b oth adapte rs li ght up, indi cat ing that the t wo ad apters have inte rco mmunicat ed wi th each othe r suc cessfull y.
Tip 1: I t is hi ghly recom men ded to first s et up the two adapt ers as close as pos sible and then pl ace t hem in a suitabl e loc ation.
To join an existing private group:
If you want t o add a dapter C to th e exi sting priv ate g roup, plea se fo llow the ste ps.
1). Pre ss th e Group butt on on t he Adapter A or B for 1 seco nd (d o not press bo th) , and the Powe rli ne LED
will begi n fl ashing.
2). Wit hin 2 m inutes pre ss th e Group butt on on Ad apter C for 1 se con d, the Power lin e LED on the ada pte r C will ligh t up in a bout 60 seco nds .
Tip 2: You can fol low the steps abo ve to add more adap ters to the priva te group one by one . Tip 3: I f you w ant to reset o r rename the devi ce please insta ll the Powerlin e Uti lity from the resou rce C D. (Only for Windows)
Troubleshooting
Q1. I hav e followed the ab ove instructi ons, but my adapt ers are still not w orking. Wh at ca n I do?
1).Make s ure t hat all the ad apt ers are unde r the s ame electr ic me ter.
2).If the P owe r LED does not l igh t up at all, the re ma y be a hardwar e pro blem.
3).The po wer line devic es mi ght not comm uni cate with ea ch ot her if they ar e in di ff erent phrases o f a four-wire three-p has e circuit
4). As so me po wer strips h ave s urge prote cto r, please mak e sur e the adapte rs ar e not separa ted b y the them.
Q2. The a dapters were wo rking fi ne but n o longer work now s ince they've be en moved. How do I ma ke
them work a gain?
Plug the ad apt ers into the s ame p ower strip a nd fo llow Appen dix U sing the Gro up Button to grou p them. If they still don 't wo rk, please c hec k for possib le in terferen ce ca uses:
1).Air- con ditioner s, wa shing mach ine s, and other s imi lar househ old a ppliances are w orking too clos e to the adapter s.
2). Air s wit ch may lead to f ail ed communi cat ion among po wer line devices. c heck wheth er th ere are air sw itc hes hinderi ng co mmunicat ion .
Q3. How c an I restore the fa ctory default s?
With the ad apt er is powere d on. P ress the def aul t button at le ast 1 5 seconds.
