NetBotz® 355/455 Installation and Quick Configuration Manual — Addendum
When installing your NetBotz Room Monitor 355 or NetBotz Room Monitor 455, use the information included with this addendum while fol­lowing the instructions in your installation manual.
Connect the NetBotz 355 or NetBotz 455 to Your Network
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) injector
Power over Ethernet describes a system to transfer electrical power, along with data, to remote devices over standard twisted-pair cable in an Ethernet net­work. The IEEE standard 802.3 for supplying power over Ethernet allows the device providing power to use a voltage between 36–57 V DC. The nominal voltage is 48 V with a current of 10–400 mA, subject to a maximum load power of
15.40 Watts. PoE+ can provide up to 24 Watts of power.
NOTICE: Power provided to the NetBotz 355 or NetBotz 455 must be from a limited power source. To avoid overloading the circuit, before you ener­gize the NetBotz appliance, review the electrical specifications in the installation and quick configu­ration manual.
