Ness Corporation manufacturing processes are accredited to ISO9001 quality standards and all possible care and diligence has been applied during manufacture to ensure the reliable operation of this product. However there are various external factors that may impede or restrict the operation of this product in accordance with the product’s specification.
These factors include, but are not limited to:
1. Erratic or reduced radio range. Ness radio products are sophisticated low power devices, however the presence of in-band radio signals, high power transmissions or interference caused by electrical appliances such as wireless routers, cordless phones, computers, TVs and other electronic devices may reduce the range performance. While such occurrences are unusual, they are possible. In this case it may be necessary to either increase the physical separation between the Ness receiver and other devices or if possible change the radio frequency or channel of the other devices.
2. Unauthorised tampering, physical damage, electrical interruptions such as mains failure, electrical spikes or lightning.

IntroductIon
The Ness Radio Repeater (Transceiver) is an effective way to increase the range of Ness radio transmitter devices in harsh and remote conditions.
When a valid signal is received it will automatically decode and then relay (retransmit) the signal further to a remote unit for action.
The unit is mains powered by a plug pack and has a back up battery to allow continued operation during mains power failures.
InstallatIon
The Ness Radio Repeater should be located in a position half way between the furthest transmitter device and the main receiver (a Ness control panel with radio option or Ness standalone receiver).
For best results mount the repeater vertically as this is the optimum polarisation for the transmitters and receivers.
Radio range between the main receiver and the repeater is approx. 50m in free air although environmental factors such as interference from other radio devices and metallic objects needs to be taken into consideration.
The recommended maximum number of repeaters per system is 3.
Connect the plug pack and battery to activate the repeater.
operatIng Modes
Link J7 sets the Operation Mode.
Link ON: The repeater repeats all valid radio messages. (Default)
Link OFF: The repeater ignores ON, OFF and AUX signals from radio keys.
PANIC signals are still repeated.
This option provided to use in applications where duplicated
ON/OFF/AUX messages might trigger unwanted functions at the control panel or receiver.
operatIon
The Ness Radio Repeater stores and compares the last 10 radio messages to prevent sending duplicate messages. Mesages from encrypted devices are treated as unique and are repeated immediately, whereas non-encrypted identical messages will not be repeated again for a minimum of 20 seconds. Messages are repeated at random intervals of 400m/sec ~ 1.8sec. to prevent radio collisions with other devices or repeaters.

IndIcators
The front panel indicators are MAINS ON, BATTERY LOW, RADIO.
MAINS ON indicator is normally on and flashes when Mains Fail is detected.
If a Mains Fail condition persists for more than one hour, the beeper will give several short beeps every hour until mains power is restored.
BATTERY LOW indicator is normally off and will be either on or flashing to indicate various battery fail conditions as follows:
