Short cord Instructions
a) A short power-supply cord or detachable power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked elec trical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or e xtension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table
top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Disposal and Environmental Protection

Plug the machine into the mains.
Switch the machine on. Blinking light:
heating up for approximately 25 seconds.
Steady light: ready.
Remove the water tank and capsule container.
Adjust the cable length and store the excess
under the machine.
Remove the plastic lm from the drip grid.
Insert the remaining cable in the cable guide
under the machine and put the machine in the
upright position.
Close the lever and place a cup under the coffee outlet.
COFFEE PREPARATION
Rinse then ll the water tank with potable water.
The water tank can be carried by it s lid.
Lift the lever completely and insert a Nespresso
capsule.

The water tank can be carried by it s lid.
For a Latte Macchiato glass fold the cup support
into the upright position. It will automatically
fall down again when removing the glass
to avoid any drips falling on to your kitchen
surfaces.
Place a container holding at least 110 ml / 3.72 oz
under coee outlet and press the Lungo button to
rinse the machine. Repeat three time s.
Remove the cup. Lif t and close the lever to eject
the capsule into the used capsule container.
Rinse the water tank before lling with potable
wat er.
Switch the machine on. Blinking light of both
coffee buttons and the capsule container:
heating up for approximately 25 seconds.
Steady light: ready.
During heat up, you can pre ss the coee button
when it’s still blinking. The coffee will then flow
automatically when the machine is ready.
NOTICE
Press the Espresso (40 ml / 1.35 oz) or
the Lungo (110 ml / 3.72 oz) button. Preparation
will stop automati cally. To stop the coffee flow or
top up your coffee, pre ss again.

To save energy, switch the machine off when not in use. Automatic power off: the
machine will stop automatically af ter 9 minutes of non-use.
To increase automatic power off from 9 to 30
minutes : Switch the machine off, press the
Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously then
press the ON/OFF button.
Water volume level is now stored.
Fill the water tank and insert a capsule.
Red backlight lights up : water tank is
empty. Rell the water tank with potable
water. Empty and rinse the used capsule
container and the drip tray.

Place a container (minimum volume: 0.6 L / 20
oz) under the coffee outlet.
Rell the water tank with the used descaling
solution collected in the container and repeat
step 8.
To exit the descaling mode, press both buttons
simultaneously f or one second. The machine is
now ready for use.
Empty and rinse the water tank. Fill it with
potable water.
Remove the capsule and close the lever.
When ready, press the Lungo button to rinse
machine.

de ses qualités. Nous mettons en place un sys tème de collec te des capsules dans la plupar t des marchés europé ens an de tripler notre capacité de re cyclage des capsules usagées jusqu’à 75% en 2013.
