QUICK START

GUIDE

Hello! Welcome to NLife!

NLife is a navigation app designed for iPhone and Android, which

combines all the essential features of a navigation software with

the integration of social networks. A fresh and vibrant interface

welcomes you to the best map experience, combined with the

most recent improvements in route calculation.

We created this quick-start guide to walk you through your first

steps with NLife. Here you will find the key features of the applica-

tion, so that you can quickly learn the basics.

Startup

Follow these few simple steps to configure your NLife

1. Choose a map to install - when you run the application for the first time, NLife will determine your location and offer you a

map trial according to that location. In case your location can not be determined, or if you wish to select a different map to

download, tap on ‘choose another map’.

2. Create a NLife account - while the installation is in progress, we suggest you to create a NLife account. Keep in touch with

us and be the first to know about the most recent news and exclusive offers. By signing up you will also be able to synch

your lists of favourites, manage and share them on our website http://nlife.ndrive.com (coming soon).

3. Connect your social networks accounts - take advantage of integrating your social networks and share your favourite places

with your friends directly from the application.

All set? NLife is now ready for you to explore!

Map

We combined an aesthetically appealing map interface with
functionality and the result is a more intuitive use and interac­tion with the map.
Different areas are represented with a specific colour and at a
quick glance you will be able to distinguish between a garden
and an airport. The 3D buildings allow you to recognize your
surroundings, so that you always know where you are.
The information on the map is more accessible - just click
anywhere to have access to the details of that location - and
using the map buttons, you can make visible exactly what you
want.
On settings, you can also customize the map, choosing for
instance if you want 3D buildings to be visible or not.

Map gestures

You can use all these gestures to interact with the map.

Map buttons

Use these shortcuts to see exactly what you want on the
map.

If you’ve dragged the map,
tap here to return to your
location.

Tap here to select the POI categories
you wish to be visible on the map.

Quick search

As you can see at the top of the main
screen, we included a search box,
which as the name indicates, allows
you to perform a quick search simply by
typing what you are looking for.

Take this example:

Type ‘Starbucks’ to find the nearest StarbucksTM around you.

Type ‘Starbucks, Toronto’ to find out where to have a coffee in Toronto.

Unless you type a specific location, the results are shown by proximity to your

current location. The most relevant appear in list form and they are all grouped by

type in the bar above, so that you can easily switch between addresses, places,

online places, favourites and people.

Use different gestures to interact with the aplication:

Go To

Using the classic search mode, you are able to
input an address, search for a place, or select a
favourite to navigate to.

Select one of the following:

History

Here you will find a list
of the places you
recently searched or
navigated to.

Drag up the main menu and tap ‘Go To‘.

You can choose any tab by swiping the menu sideways.

Address

If you know exactly
where you want to
go, just fill all the

necessary fields, such
as city or street.

Places

If you are looking for
a restaurant or a
touristic place to
visit in a certain
location, choose the

tab ‘Places‘ and then
select a category.
You can also navigate
to Facebook or
Foursquare places,
by connecting your
accounts with NLife.

Favourites

Navigate to one of
your favourite places
or create a new one,

by searching for a
place or an address
and then clicking on
the star icon.

People

Your phone contacts are automatically synched
with NLife and, if they include an address, you can

navigate there directly from the application. If you
want to edit a contact without an address, just tap
the pencil icon.
With your Facebook and Foursquare accounts

connected, it is also possible to navigate to
your friends, wherever they are.

Navigation

Ok, now that you know how you can find the
place you want to go, let’s calculate a route to get
you there.

On the navigation screen you’ll find what you need,
exactly when you need it: when you calculate a route
you can easily change your route options and check
the alternative routes; when you are approaching your
destination, you have the option to quickly find out
the parks around you.

Regardless if your destination was chosen by
selecting it on the map, using Quick Search or
one of the options of the Go To menu, you are

able to calculate a route by:

a) taping the navigation icon
b) selecting it on the list and once you are on
the details screen just tap the button ‘Route’.

Based on your current location and the
destination you selected, NLife will calcu­late three alternative routes. If you click on

each of the routes, you will see its overview
on the map. If you click on the roadbook icon
you will be able to see a complete list of all the
maneuvers, from your starting point until your
destination.
Select which one is the most suitable route
and simply tap the “Start navigation” button

to start the voice guided navigation.

TTS voice instructions will guide you along
the way and all the maneuvers appear on
the top left corner of the screen. Unlike any
other navigation software, when you reach a
more complex intersection, this area will
expand to include lane indications.

Once you arrive at your destination,
NLife will help you find a place to park
your car. Click on the icon to see all Parking

around your current location. If you found a
place to park already, simply select “Stop
navigation”.

My Products

At a glance, you can see all your products
and their information.

This section is entirely

about your NLife.

We reserved this space

specially to communicate

with you and to gather that

information which makes it

your personal application,

such as the products you

own or the favourites saved

on your lists.

Notifications

Every now and then
you’ll be receiving
suggestions for
products or offers,

which we find
relevant to you. You’ll
find them all gath­ered here, where you
will be able to read
them again or delete
them if you wish.

By clicking on each of them, you’ll have
access to more detailed information. The
colours on the map represent the status of
your products: installed products are
highlighted in green, trials have the orange
colour and expired products are marked in
red. 

Here you can also restore your products, in
case you lose them due to any problem with
your device.

Favorites

This is where you can
manage your lists of
favourites.

Here you can create
new lists or manage
the ones you already
have. You can also edit
or delete the favourites
saved on your lists. To
edit or delete a list,
click on the pencil icon
to enter the edition
mode.

Social Networks

Social networks are a big part of your daily life and we know it!

All you have to do is connect your social networks’ accounts with NLife, which can be done at ‘Startup’ or later

on ‘Settings’.

Once you are logged in, you will be able to:

search or navigate to places of your social networks - choose Go To > Places;

search or navigate to people that are part of the contacts of your social networks - choose Go To > People;

share any location on your social networks - just select a location and choose the option ‘Share’. To make it

more personal, you can write whatever is on your mind and also add a photo. Then, just select the social

networks you want and tap the ‘Share’ button.

Store

We built our store bearing in mind that when you look for a product, first of all you think about a place, a location.

So how does this work? Our product offer is organized by location which you can select by going through the tabs

or choosing directly on the map. You can also search by typing in the name of the country you are looking for.

1. select the map you wish to purchase

2. tap the ‘Install’ button to be redirected to your market.
