TACTICAL RED DOT SIGHT
This tubeless design reflex lens aperture provides a wide field of view providing
quick target acquisition which makes it suitable for rapid-firing and shooting of
moving targets. This reflex sight will be suitable for many projectile-firing
devices including handguns, shotguns, rifles, air guns, and crossbows.
The red dot is factory-adjusted parallax free to 40 yards. This adjustment ensures
that parallax-related aiming errors are minimized over a large range distance.
Items provided with your new sight include a cover (to protect your red dot while
not in use), two different sized allen wrenches, an extra battery, and a lens
cleaning cloth.
The red dot is equipped with a standard on/off switch which can be found on the
rear of the sight body. While not in use be sure that the unit is covered and the
switch is off to preserve battery life.
MOUNTING:
CAUTION: BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION OF YOUR RED
DOT SIGHT BE SURE THAT THE FIREARM IS UNLOADED. ALWAYS
PRACTICE SAFE FIREARMS HANDLING PROCEDURES.
Your new tactical sight is equipped with an integral rail mounting system that is
designed to fit on any standard weaver-style base. To install, first loosen the two
allen screws on the right side rail using the provided allen wrench (3). Next, set the
sight on top of the base. Notice that one of the screws is protruding from the bottom
of the sight, be sure that this lug fits into one of the grooves of the weaver-style base.
This will ensure stability upon recoil of the firearm. Your tactical sight has unlimited
eye relief so you may mount it in the position that is most comfortable for you. Be
sure not to mount the sight to close to your eye as injury may result upon recoil of the
firearm. Once you have chosen the sight position that best suits you be sure that the
sight is fully seated on the base. Proceed to carefully tighten the allen screws (3)
firmly in place, but do not over tighten. Your new tactical sight is ready for zeroing.
ZEROING:
WHEN OPERATING ANY TYPE OF FIREARM ALWAYS USE PROPER
EYE AND EAR PROTECTION. BE SURE TO USE YOUR FIREARM IN
AN AREA THAT IS PERMISABLE UNDER LOCAL, STATE, AND
FEDERAL LAW.
CAUTION: LOOKING DIRECTLY AT THE SUN THROUGH THIS
SIGHT MAY RESULT IN PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE.
Before making any adjustments to the windage and elevation (5 and 6), be sure to
loosen the two locking screws (7) on the rear of the sight body to avoid damage to the
internal components of the sight using the provided allen wrench. The elevation
screw (5) moves the red dot up and down, while the windage screw (6) moves the red
dot left and right. It is always best to bore sight your rifle to get an estimated zero
point. There are many methods to accomplish this such as with a laser bore sighter.
It is also a good idea to perform bore sighting from a bench rest if at all possible.
Follow the directions provided with your bore sighter, and make adjustments to the
windage and elevation (5 and 6) using the provided allen wrench. Once you have
gotten a general bore sight, remove all bore sighting devices from your firearm to
avoid injury or damage. Proceed with test firing and make fine tune adjustments to
the windage and elevation (5 and 6) as necessary. When you have finished zeroing
your sight, tighten both locking screws (7) to hold your zero position.
INSTALLING THE BATTERY:
Your new tactical sight uses a 3 volt lithium battery which is type CR-2032. Always
use this type of battery for best performance results, and to avoid damage to your
sight. To install a new battery, remove the two allen screws (4) on the top of the sight
body using the provided allen wrench. Turn the sight upside down and separate the
two halves. Remove the old battery and replace it with the proper size battery (CR-
2032) positive side facing out towards you. Use extreme caution when performing
these steps as not to damage any of the internal mechanisms. Complete the procedure
by joining the top part of the sight with the rail base and reinstall the allen screws (4),
but be sure not to over tighten. When not in use, always be sure that your sight is off
for maximum battery life. With normal use your battery should last for about a year.
If you are not sure of any of the procedures in this manual, always
seek the help of a qualified professional to avoid damage to you
red dot sight and your firearm.
