Installation of Navitar/NuView Series 570 lens in a Panasonic PT-D3500,
D5500U, D5500UL, D5600, D5700, D400 & D5100 DPL projector.
TOOLS REQUIRED: NONE
Disassembly:
1. Remove prime lens by depressing the button on the left side of the prime lens and
rotating the lens counter-clockwise.
Assembly:
1. Ensure that your Navitar lens and its bayonet adapter are separate (except on MCL070 &
MCZ275 which can’t be separated). Position the adapter (part of lens on MCL070 &
MCZ275), with the smaller (of three) retaining tabs, at the 5 o’clock position and slide the
adapter into the projector ensuring proper engagement. Rotate the adapter clockwise
until it is securely in place. (a small pin on the projector will ‘spring’ through a small notch
on the adapter)
2. Install the lens by gently rotating clockwise as it is inserted into the adapter (except on
MCL070 & MCZ275).
3. To focus, gently twist the front of lens. To zoom, loosen thumbscrew and twist knurled
ring (zoom lenses only, of course). Re-tighten thumbscrew. CAUTION: Do not twist
entire lens out of adapter! To focus MCL070 & MCZ275, twist the knurled outer ring of
lens. To zoom MCZ275, twist knurled inner ring.
