Installation of Navitar/NuView Series 567 lens on JVC DLA-HX2U &
SX21UH Projectors.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Phillips head screwdriver
Disassembly:
1. Disconnect unit from power source. Remove one (1) Phillips head screw from
the center-back of the cover, three (3) from the handle side of the cover and
four (4) from the input panel side of the projector cover.
2. A plastic lens ring is attached to the front of the projector cover and may be
removed by simply applying pressure and rotating in a counter-clockwise
direction.
3. The cover should now be free and may be removed and set to the side. Note
that two wires are still attached to the cover but they will not hinder the lens
installation.
4. The prime lens is attached via four (4) Phillips head screws. Locate these
screws and remove them and set the prime lens aside.
Assembly:
1. Your NuView lens uses an adapter that may be removed from the lens.
Remove the adapter from the lens and install it on the projector using the four
(4) screws removed from the prime lens.
2. Install the Navitar lens into the adapter by gently turning it clockwise into the
lens mount. The lens should now be properly installed.
3. To focus, gently twist front of lens. To zoom, loosen the thumbscrew and
twist knurled ring but ensure you re-tighten the thumbscrew. CAUTION: Do
not twist entire lens out of mounting bracket!
