Installation of Navitar/NuView Series 880 lens on Epson model PowerLite 8300i
projector.
TOOLS REQUIRED: PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER, 3mm Hex (Allen) Wrench
Disassembly:
1. Disconnect the unit from the power source and place projector with the bottom facing
up. Remove four (4) screws (2 on bottom, 1 on each side) holding the lens cover of
the projector in place. Remove the cover and set aside for reinstallation.
2. Flip projector to normal position and remove four (4) socket hex head screws holding
prime lens in place and remove the prime lens.
Assembly:
1. Ensure that your Navitar lens and its adapter are separate. Using the four (4) socket
hex head screws removed in (2) above, install the adapter into the projector.
2. Replace the lens cover of the projector removed in step 1, above.
3. To focus, gently twist the front of lens. To zoom, loosen thumbscrew and twist
knurled ring (zoom lenses only, of course). Re-tighten thumbscrew. CAUTION: Do
not twist entire lens out of adapter!
