Installation of Navitar/NuView Series 638 lens on Sony model VPL-PX35,
PX40 & PX41 Projectors.
TOOLS REQUIRED: PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER
Disassembly:
1. Disconnect the unit from the power source and place projector with the bottom facing
upwards. Remove one (1) screw from the rear-center of the projector. The projector
cover will now slide forward with slight pressure. Remove cover and set aside for
reinstallation.
2. Remove four (4) Phillips head screws securing prime-lens in place and re move
prime-lens. Remove four (4) Phillips head screws securing prime-lens spacers in
place and remove spacers.
Assembly:
1. Ensure that your Navitar lens and its adapter are separate. Using four (4) Phillips
head screws removed in 2, above, install the adapter into the projector.
2. Replace the cover of the projector and single Phillips head screw removed in step 1
of the disassembly procedure above.
3. Insert the lens by gently twisting into the adapter. To focus, gently twist the lens. To
zoom, loosen thumbscrew and twist knurled ring (zoom lenses only, of course). Retighten thumbscrew. CAUTION: Do not twist entire lens out of adapter!
