Introduction
The NAVILOCK GNS 5890 is the worldwide smallest ADS-B receiver with USB
connectivity. All of our products are tested intensively before leaving the factory. Please
read the following information carefully to ensure a problem-free operation and optimal
functionality.
NAVILOCK GNS 5890 ADS-B Receiver is equipped with a high sensitive 1090 MHz
ADS-B circuit.
The NAVILOCK GNS 5890 enables the utilisation of the virtual radar system ADS-B

• Safeguard the NAVILOCK GNS 5890 from moisture; observe the limits on
operating and storage temperatures.
• Do not expose the NAVILOCK GNS 5890 to direct sunlight or heat.
• Do not open or modify. Failure to comply will result in the guarantee and
warranty becoming void. There are no components inside that can be serviced
by the user.
• Only connect the NAVILOCK GNS 5890 to the connector types described in
these instructions.
• Be sure to respect the laws of the country you are in with respect to operation of
devices.
• Do not operate the NAVILOCK GNS 5890 with a damaged cord or if the unit
has dropped and/or has been damaged.
• This product is intended for operation with power from a USB power supply.
Other usage is not recommended any may destroy the device. Please use only
the original accessories.

• PC or Notebook with free USB 2.0 Port
• Pentium 4,
• 512 MB RAM
• VGA Graphics card
Driver Installation
• Switch on your computer.
• Connect the antenna to the ADS-B receiver
• Connect the ADS-B receiver to a free USB port of your computer
• Afterwards, Windows displays the Hardware wizard
• Install the NAVILOCK GNS 5890 USB driver from the CD

Software Installation (ADSBscope)
• The software does not need any installation and can be started directly. Please
start the software “adsbscope22_256.exe” directly or from the CD menu “ADSB Scope” by a click.
• For COM port settings please click to the button „Select COM Port“
Port : „X“ „X“ may be different on your system (for example “4” ,
“6” or other)
Baud Rate : 115.200
• After the click at the “Connect” button you will see the data and position on your
screen.

Remarks
For best reception the antenna must have direct view to the sky. The NAVILOCK GNS
5890 is also compatible to Planeplotter.
