PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Our intelligent and programmable Lock Control unit (LCU) is designed to provide for Telephone Line based DTMF controlled switching of 1 or 2 internal Dry Relay Contacts, which can be used to control 1 or more external devices.
They are ideal for applications such as Basic Access Control, Lift Control or the Powering ON, OFF or RESET of One or More Electrical devices.
Model LCU1 - provides for control of 1 Dry Relay contact Model LCU2 - provides for independent control of 2 Dry Relay contacts Model LCU3 - provides Auto Answer operation with 2 Dry Relay contacts
The Relay Contacts are rated for 12volts, 1amp. Our LCU units connect (in Parallel) to ANY Telephone Line and listen and
respond to programmed DTMF Touch Tone commands. Each LCU has One (LCU1) or Two (LCU2) Dry Relay contacts that can be
independently controlled by DTMF Touch Tone commands from an Incoming Telephone Call OR they can respond to Any Parallel telephone device connected to the same line.
Model LCU3 also has Two Dry Relay contacts and this Model can be set to Answer Incoming calls after a User Programmable number of rings (See page 5 for more details on LCU3).
One or More LCU units can be fitted to the same telephone line to provide a simple and flexible Access Control or Power Control solution.
Each LCU Relay can be programmed with its own unique DTMF code (from 1-4 digits) and whenever the correct code is entered from Any telephone on that line, or from an Incoming Telephone Call, the appropriate Relay will close for a User Programmable period of time (programmable from 1-99 seconds).
LCU units connect to ANY telephone socket on a telephone line. Multiple units can connect to the same socket, or they can be connected to different sockets on the same line.
LCU is supplied with a 12VAC power adaptor. 12VDC can alternatively be used to power LCU if required (min of 200mA).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
LCU is designed to connect in PARALLEL to a telephone line. It has a single RJ11 (6 pin) Telephone Line input port.
Model LCU1 provides One 4 pin RJ port to connect to the internal relay. Models LCU2 and LCU3 provides Two 4 pin RJ ports to connect to the internal
relays. Connection Box(s) are supplied with short leads for easy connection to LCU. Each Connection Box has 2 Screw Terminals to provide for connection of
your electrical equipment to the Internal Relays of LCU. Once installed, LCU will automatically respond to any 1,2,3 or 4 digit DTMF
code that is programmed by the user. LCU responds to all DTMF commands, ie: 0-9,*,#,A,B,C &D.
The closure time of the relay can also be set by the user for periods of 01 to 99 seconds. If a setting of 00 is entered, LCU will provide latching of the relay on a toggle basis, so that equipment (such as a 12V light, Video equipment etc) can be switched ON or OFF as required.
LCU can also be set to respond to DMTF commands from Incoming calls only, or Incoming and Outgoing calls (default setting).
LCU's can also be programmed to respond to a set code within a dialed sequence.
For example, a Door Phone could call a specific business within a Multi Tenanted Office Building. The operator after answering could then Dial 123456 and then hang up.
One LCU relay set to respond to 12 could open the front door for 15 seconds. A second LCU relay set to respond to 34 could alert the Elevators to allow access to Floor 3. A third LCU relay set to respond to 56 could release the Door Strike which allows access to offices on Floor 3.
LCU is provided with a Two Year Factory Warranty.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION LCU3
LCU3 provides all of the features described on pages 3-4. Please read these pages first.
Model LCU3 has the additional ability of being able to Answer an Incoming call on a telephone line, after a user selectable number of rings (0-20 rings).
Setting 0 Rings, disable the Auto Answer facility. The Default setting is that LCU3 will Answer incoming calls after 2 rings. After Answering a telephone call, LCU3 will ‘listen’ for DTMF Commands. If
a programmed command is detected, LCU3 will close one or both of its Internal relays, depending on User Programming, exactly the same as LCU1 and LCU2.
Our LCU1 and LCU2 models do not answer calls. They respond to DTMF commands made during an outgoing call, or an incoming call answered by another device on the line, such as LCU3, Answering Machine or other suitable answering device.
Multiple LCU1 and LCU2 units can be used with LCU3 to provide for Basic Access Control, Lift Control or the Powering ON, OFF or RESET of One or More Electrical devices.
ADDITIONAL LCU3 PROGRAMMING FEATURES
1. LCU3 can be programmed by simply calling in to it. When it answers, press ### to enter programming mode. Note it cannot be programmed if the Auto Answer facility is disabled.
2. LCU3 can have all of its program setting returned to default, by dialling into it, entering ### (to enter program mode) and after hearing the confirmation ‘beep’, pressing 13579.
3.LCU3 has an additional MAXIMUM CALL TIME Programming feature which must be set during the programming procedure. This is the amount of time that LCU3 will hold a call waiting for commands after answering. The default setting is 20 seconds, which is the minimum setting. This can be increased up to 99 seconds if required. See pages 14-15 for full programming details.
