Materials
Base Preparation
If installing your Napoleon BBQ Grill on an
unstructured base, please ensure to follow
these steps:
• Excavate area approx. 9 inches below grade.
• Excavate approx. 6 inches larger than your
actual kit dimensions to ensure a stable base.
• Fill with 0.75 inch down limestone and
compact firmly.
• Level out 0.5 inch of sand and install kit as per
the instruction guide.
If you are installing on a solid base such as
an existing patio, base prep is not necessary.
Please proceed to the first step.
These instructions may not refer to all base
conditions. As this kit is incredibly heavy, base
prep will greatly depend on existing ground
conditions and may require alternate techniques.

Note: The Napoleon BBQ units are available in
propane and natural gas. Contact a gas fitter
prior to installing your natural gas BBQ unit.

Note: Certain steps indicate the use of
landscape glue. This is for added stability
but it’s optional and at the discretion of the
user.
Step 1
Lay down the stone pattern shown along
with the tank and drawer frame. Glue the
cut ends of the blocks to the tank and
drawer frame for this and future layers.
Check that stones are level at every step.
There should be 20 inches between the
stone and top of the frame. Use included
shims for adjustments.
Use (7) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (1) 8 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 6.125 blocks
Use (1) Tank and Drawer Frame

Instructions
Step 2
Lay out the second layer as shown along
with the Vent Box. Check that stones are
level. There should be 16 inches between
the stone and top of the frame. Use
included shims for adjustments. Glue this
layer down to the first layer. Glue the cut
ends of the blocks to the tank and drawer
frame.
Use (8) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (1) 4 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 2.125 blocks
Use (1) Stainless Steel Vent Box

Step 3
Repeat the pattern from step 1. Check that
stones are level. There should be 12 inches
between the stone and top of the frame. Use
included shims for adjustments. Glue the cut
ends of the blocks to the tank and drawer
frame.
Use (7) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (1) 8 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 6.125 blocks
Step 4
Lay out the fourth layer as shown in the diagram. Check that stones are level. There should
be 8 inches between the stone and top of the
frame. Use included shims for adjustments.
Glue the cut ends of the blocks to the tank and
drawer frames.
Use (9) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 2.125 blocks
Step 5
Repeat patterns from Steps 3 & 4. Make sure
this layer is flush with the top of the frame.
Glue the cut ends of the blocks to the tank
and drawer frames.
If installing with the Side Burner, do so on
the right-hand side of the Napoleon BBQ
Grill.
Use (16) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (1) 8 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 6.125 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 2.125 blocks
Remove this block if installing

Step 6
Lay down the 4-piece Accent Band as shown.
Make sure all 4 pieces are level. Glue this down
to the Tank and Drawer Frame and Quarry
Stone below.
Use (1) 4-piece Accent Band
Step 7
Lay out the second layer as shown in the
diagram.
Use (6) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (3) 4 x 12 x 6 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 2.625 blocks
Step 8
Lay out the second layer as shown in the
diagram.
Use (4) 12 x 8 x 4 blocks
Use (3) 4 x 12 x 6 blocks
Use (2) 4 x 8 x 6.625 blocks

Step 9
Lay down the 3-piece Ebony Countertop
as shown. Make sure all 3 pieces are level.
Glue this down to the quarry stone below.
Use (1) 3-piece Ebony Countertop
Step 10
Insert the Double Door Tank Holder and Dual
Drawers into the Tank and Drawer Frame.
Use the included shims to ensure it fits snug
and remains square. Remove the tank holder
and drawers from the sliders by pressing on
the black tabs.
Use (1) Double Door Tank Holder
Step 11
Pre-drill holes into the Tank and Drawer
Frame through openings in the Double Door
Tank Holder and Dual Drawers with the
drill bit provided. Fasten in place with the
provided concrete screws (do not overtighten). Reinsert the drawers and tank holders
thereaer.

Step 12
Place the Prestige PRO™ 500 Napolean Grill
into the space provided.
Note: Refer to the manual included with
Prestige PRO™ 500 Napolean Grill for proper
use and installation.
