INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Ensure all parts are in the kit before
proceeding. Do not proceed if parts
are missing.
PROCEDURE
(Please read entire instructions rst.)
ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE IS DESIGNED TO BE INSTALLED
ONTO A WALL SLEEVE PRIOR TO CONDO PACK
INSTALLATION. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THIS STEP IS
PERFORMED AFTER CONSTRUCTION PHASE
TESTING HAS SHOWN THAT THE INSTALLATION OF
ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE AFFECTS THE NORMAL
OPERATION OF THE CONDO PACK UNIT UNDER
CERTAIN OPERATING CONDITIONS.
THE FACTORY INSTALLED UPPER STAMPED GRILLE
MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CONDO PACK
CABINET, PRIOR TO UNIT INSTALLATION INTO A WALL
SLEEVE. NO UNAPPROVED ARCHITECTURAL
GRILLE IS ALLOWED. UNAPPROVED
ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE AND IMPROPER
INSTALLATION WILL LEAD TO DETERIORATION
OF THE PERFORMANCE AND PREMATURE FAILURE
DUE TO ADDED RESTRICTION TO AIR FLOW.

Use factory provided (8)
self-drilling screws and
(8) washers to fasten the grille onto wall sleeve .
Use only factory provided
plastic washer with screws. If not used, the screws will
damage the cabinet and obstruct the removal of the
cabinet at the end of life cycle.

THE GRILLE MUST BE SEALED ON ALL FOUR SIDES.
IN ORDER TO PREVENT WATER RUNOFF DIRECTLY
ONTO THE FINISH WALL, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO
INSTALL FIELD-SUPPLIED FLASHING UNDERNEATH
THE BOTTOM OF THE LOUVER.

ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE
DRAIN OPENINGS
DO NOT PLUG THE DRAIN OPENINGS
STEP 3.
Insure wall sleeve is sealed properly according to wall sleeve
installation procedure. Caulk all seams between the grille and
the FINISHED exterior walls. Seal the spaces using nonhardening caulking compound. All seals must be weather
tight to prevent entrance of moisture and water into the
building. Care must be taken not to plug the drain openings.

Install D channel gasket
to the edge of the anges.
STEP 4:
Apply self-adhesive D-Channel gasket strips (W290-0256,
included with Condo Pack cabinet to inside surface
of sleeve front anges. Make sure that gasket is lined up
with the EDGES of the wall sleeve anges (detail 4A).

STEP 5:
Remove factory installed upper stamped
grille from the Condo Pack cabinet as shown.
Discard upper stamped grille.

STEP 6:
Install Condo Pack cabinet into the wall sleeve. Make sure
the gaskets attached to the sleeve are not damaged.
Make sure that the cabinet seats tight against the
gasketing previously installed on the wall sleeve. Refer to
Wall Sleeve instructions for squaring braces removal.

STEP 7:
Fill the clearance space between the sleeve and the cabinet (FIG. 7)
with non-hardening caulking compound or non-expanding insulation
foam as a protection against the moisture and air inltration.

THE CLEARANCE SPACE BETWEEN THE WALL
SLEEVE AND THE CABINET MUST BE COMPLETELY
SEALED ON ALL FOUR SIDES (FIG. 7) IN ORDER TO
PREVENT THE MOISTURE AND AIR INFILTRATION.
