SELECT A CAMPSITE: For greater camping enjoyment and comfort search for a fairly level and
soft spot that is protected from the wind and elements. Clear away any debris such as sharp
stones and sticks, which might abrade or puncture the tent floor make sure the area will also
drain well when it rains.
1. UNROLL THE TENT
Remove the tent from the carrying bag and unroll the tent. Lay the floor flat on the ground
with the door partially unzipped and facing the desired direction.
2. ASSEMBLE THE POLES
Remove the poles from the bag. Assemble the poles. Make certain that each pole is fully
inserted into the next pole section.
3. PITCHING THE TENT
Push the shortest pole through the pole sleeve at the rear of the tent. Place each pole into
the pole sleeve and into the pin at the corner of the tent. Attach the pole clips to the poles.
Repeat the above with the longer pole, pushing it through the pole sleeve at the front of the
tent.
Stake down the tent by using the stakes and the rings on the corners of the tent.
4. ASSEMBLE THE RAIN FLY
Drape the fly over the tent positioning the large gray panel, with zipper, over the front door.
Adjust the straps for the top section of the Pin & Ring to their longest settings and attach to
the Fly bottoms. Reach under the flysheet and wrap the Velcro straps located underneath
around the corresponding tent poles. Stake out the rear of the fly, taking care not to pull the
fly too tight.
Option 1: Stake out the front vestibule by staking two of the four base loops located on each
side of the fly zippers. Roll back the center of the vestibule door by unzipping both zippers
and securing the door with the toggles and fabric loops.
Option 2: Roll back the two side panels and leave the center section staked down.

5. INSTALL THE GUY LINES
The guy lines will help with tent’s performance by promoting air circulation between the
flysheet and tent body. This can improve ventilation and help reduce moisture condensation.
Guying out the tent also improves the tent’s ability to withstand high winds and other
inclement weather.
Tie the loose end of the guy line cord through the guy out loops located on the fly. Make a
loop on the other end with the plastic slider and stake it out. The guy lines should fan
outward to anchor points in the ground (additional tent stakes, trees, etc). Depending on the
weather, more guy lines may be necessary to secure the tent. In windy weather, you may
wish to secure the windward side of the tent with additional guy lines.
6. TAKE DOWN
Do the reverse of set up steps.
FOLDING THE TENT
Fold the tent in half. Lay the rain fly on the tent. Make sure the width of the tent is not wider than
the carrying bag. Place the poles and stake bag at one end of the tent. Using the poles as a
rolling pin roll, roll the tent up squeezing air out and brushing debris off the tent as you go. The
tent should slide easily into the carrying bag.
TENT CARE TIPS
To further the life of your tent the following care suggestions are recommended:
1. NEVER ROLL UP OR PACK AWAY A WET TENT. THIS WILL CAUSE MILDEW.
MILDEW WILL DESTROY THE COTTON THREAD USED IN YOUR TENT SEAMS.
2. Store your tent in a dry place.
3. Avoid spraying insect repellent, hair spray, etc., inside or near your tent, as they may be
harmful to the tent fabric and cause leakage. Acids and caustic solutions can damage
nylon. This includes leaking flashlight batteries, ascorbic acid in fruit juices, etc.
4. Care & Cleaning of your tent: After each use, shake out all loose debris in the tent.
Sponge clean all dust and other marks. If the tent requires in-depth cleaning, hand wash
with sudsy water and mild soap. Rinse the fabric well and air-dry the tent out of direct
sunlight. Make sure the tent is completely dry before storing. NEVER store a damp tent.
If a tent is stored damp, mildew will form on the tent. NEVER machine-wash the tent or
detergent as they will damage the waterproofing on the tent.
5. Condensation. The human body gives off a considerable amount of moisture during the
night. If this moisture cannot escape from the tent, it will condense on the inner surface
and make it wet. Condensation droplets may drop off, which may appear like leakage or
misting. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE TENT LEAKS. If your door flap and
windows are left open or partially open, this condition will reduce itself.
6. This material has been treated with a water resistant treatment. However, apply Seam
Sealer to all seams to ensure a leak proof seal before using as water may penetrate the
needle holes in the fabric. This is common with tents and is not a defect.
7. The nylon material in your tent has been treated with ultra violet inhibitor. However,
prolonged exposure in the sun will affect the strength of the material.
