Im Jahre 1958 begann die Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) mit
der Indienststellung von dieselhydraulischen Mehrzwecklo­komotiven der Baureihe V 100. Sie hat eine Leistung von
1 100 PS. Ab 1962 wurde eine verstärkte Ausführung mit
1 350 PS ausgeliefert. Die Lokomotiven sind 12,3 m lang
und haben eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 100 km/h. Die
erste Bauserie V 100.10 (364 Lokomotiven) wird seit 1968 als
Baureihe 211 geführt, die zweite Serie V 100.20 (371 Lokomo­tiven) als Baureihe 212. Zehn weitere Lokomotiven erhielten
bei der DB eine Ausrüstung für Steilstreckeneinsatz; sie
werden als BR 213 bezeichnet.

Mit der zunehmenden Elektrifizierung und dem Einsatz von
Triebwagen auf Nebenstrecken hat die DB eine Reihe der
Lokomotiven verkauft. Sie laufen heute u. a. in Österreich,
Frankreich, Italien und der Schweiz.

Einige Modelle stehen weiterhin für Spezialaufgaben zur
Verfügung. Hierzu gehören z. B. diverse Rettungszüge.
Durch den hohen Sicherheitsstandard der Deutschen Bahn
sind diese Züge in der Praxis jedoch überwiegend nur bei
Übungen im Einsatz.

In 1958 the German Federal Railroad (DB) began using the
diesel-hydraulic, multi-purpose locomotive class V 100. It
has an output of 1 100 PS. A more powerful version with
an output of 1 350 PS was delivered beginning in 1962. The
locomotives are 12.3 meters (approx. 40 ft.) long and have
a maximum speed of 100 km/h (approx. 62 m.p.h.). The first
series class V 100.10 (364 locomotives) has been designated
as the class 211 since 1968, the second series class V 100.20
(371 locomotives) as class 212. The DB equipped an additi­onal 10 locomotives for operation on steep grades; they are
designated the class 213.

With increasing electrification and the use of railcars on
branch lines, the DB sold a number of these locomotives.
They are presently in service in Austria, France, Italy and
Switzerland among other countries.

Several models continue to be available for special jobs.
Among these are different rescue trains. Due to the German
Railroad’s high safety standards, in practice these trains are
however used mostly just for exercises.

C’est en 1958 que les premières locos diesel-hydrauliques du
type V 100 ont été livrées à la Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB). Cette
loco développe une puissance de 1 100 CV. A partir de 1962, une
variante plus puissante a été mise au point. Elle développe une
puissance de 1 350 cv. Ces locos ont une longueur de 12,3 m
et peuvent circuler à 100 km/h. La première série V 100.10 (364
locomotives) est gérée depuis 1968 sous l’appellation de série
211, tandis que la deuxième série V 100.20 (371 locomotives) est
connue sous le nom de série 212. Dix locomotives de ce type
ont en outre reçu un équipement spécial pour le service sur les
lignes à très fortes rampes; elles ont été immatriculèes série 213.

Avec l’électrification croissante et l’utilisation de rames
automotrices sur des lignes secondaires, les Chemins de fer de
la Deutsche Bundesbahn ont vendu une partie des locomotives.
Elles circulent aujourd’hui notamment en Autriche, en France,
en Italie et en Suisse.

Quelques modèles sont disponibles pour des tâches spéciales.
Parmi celles-ci, citons entre autres divers trains de sauvetage.
Du fait du haut niveau de sécurité en vigueur à la Deutsche
Bahn, ces trains sont en pratique principalement mis en service
à titre d’exercices.

vermogen van 1100 pk. Vanaf 1962 werd een krachtigere
versie met 1350 pk afgeleverd. De locomotieven hebben een
lengte van 12,3 m en een maximumsnelheid van 100 km/u.
De eerste serie V 100.10 (364 lokomotieven) heet sinds 1968
serie 211, de tweede serie V 100.20 (371 lokomotieven) serie

212. Nog eens tien locomotieven werden door de DB om­gebouwd voor het berijden van steile hellingen; ze worden
aangeduid als BR 213.

Met de voortschrijdende elektrificatie en de inzet van trein

­stellen op de zijlijnen heeft de DB een serie lokomotieven
verkocht. Die rijden heden ten dage in Oostenrijk, Frankrijk,
Italie en Zwitserland.

Daarnaast zijn er een aantal modellen beschikbaar die be­doelt zijn voor speciale doeleinden. Hieronder behoren bijv.
de verschillende ongevalstreinen. Door de hoge veiligheids­standaard van de Deutschen Bahn zijn deze treinen in de
praktijk veelal alleen in gebruik voor oefeningen.

Sicherheitshinweise

• Die Lok darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten Betriebssys­tem (Märklin Wechselstrom-Transformator 6647, Märklin
Delta, Märklin Digital oder Märklin Systems) eingesetzt
werden.

Nur Transformatoren verwenden, die Ihrer örtlichen
Netzspannung entsprechen.
Keinesfalls Transformatoren für eine Netzspannung
von 220 V bzw. 110 V einsetzen.

• Die Lok darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle gleichzeitig
versorgt werden.

• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise in der
Gebrauchsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebssystem.

• Für den konventionellen Betrieb der Lok muss das
Anschlussgleis entstört werden. Dazu ist das Entstörset
74046 zu verwenden. Für Digitalbetrieb ist das Entstörset
nicht geeignet.

Die bei normalem Betrieb anfallenden Wartungsarbeiten
sind nachfolgend beschrieben. Für Reparaturen oder
Ersatzteile wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Märklin-Fach­händler.

Jegliche Garantie-, Gewährleistungs- und Schadensersatzansprüche sind
ausgeschlossen, wenn in Märklin-Produkten nicht von Märklin freigege­bene Fremdteile eingebaut werden und / oder Märklin-Produkte umgebaut
werden und die eingebauten Fremdteile bzw. der Umbau für sodann aufge­tretene Mängel und / oder Schäden ursächlich war. Die Darlegungs- und
Beweislast dafür, dass der Einbau von Fremdteilen oder der Umbau in bzw.
von Märklin-Produkten für aufgetretene Mängel und / oder Schäden nicht
ursächlich war, trägt die für den Ein- und / oder Umbau verantwortliche
Person und / oder Firma bzw. der Kunde.

Safety Warnings

• This locomotive is to be used only with an operating
system designed for it (Märklin 6646/6647 AC transformer,
Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital or Märklin Systems).

Use only transformers rated for your local household
power.
Do not under any circumstances use transformers
rated for 220 volts or 110 volts.

• This locomotive must never be supplied with power from
more than one transformer.

• Pay close attention to the safety warnings in the
instructions for your operating system.

• The feeder track must be equipped to prevent inter­ference with radio and television reception, when the
locomotive is to be run in conventional operation. The
74046 interference suppression set is to be used for this
purpose.

The maintenance work necessary with normal operation of
this locomotive is described below. Please see your authori­zed Märklin dealer for repairs or spare parts.

No warranty or damage claims shall be accepted in those cases where
parts neither manufactured nor approved by Märklin have been installed
in Märklin products or where Märklin products have been converted in
such a way that the non-Märklin parts or the conversion were causal to the
defects and / or damage arising. The burden of presenting evidence and
the burden of proof thereof, that the installation of non-Märklin parts or the
conversion in or of Märklin products was not causal to the defects and / or

Remarques importantes sur la sécurité

• La locomotive ne peut être mise en service qu’avec
un système d’exploitation adéquat (Märklin courant
alternatif - transformateur 6647, Märklin Delta,
Märklin Digital ou Märklin Systems).

Utilisez uniquement des transformateurs correspon­dant à la tension secteur locale.
N´utilisez en aucun cas des transformateurs pour une
tension de secteur de 220 V, respectivement 110 V.

• La locomotive ne peut être alimentée en courant que par
une seule source de courant.

• Veuillez impérativement respecter les remarques sur la
sécurité décrites dans le mode d’emploi de votre système
d’exploitation.

• Pour l’exploitation de la locomotive en mode convention­nel, la voie de raccordement doit être déparasitée. A cet
effet, utiliser le set de déparasitage réf. 74046. Le set de
déparasitage ne convient pas pour l’exploitation en mode
numérique.

Les travaux d‘entretien occasionnels à effectuer en exploi­tation normale sont décrits plus loin. Pour toute réparation
ou remplacement de pièces, adressez- vous à votre détail­lant-spécialiste Märklin.

ATTENTION ! Ce produit contient des aimants. L’ingestion de
plusieurs aimants peut être mortelle.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

• De loc mag alleen met een daarvoor bestemd bedrjfssys­teem (Märklin wisselstroom transformator 6647,
Märklin Delta, Märklin digitaal of Märklin Systems)
gebruikt worden.

Alleen transformatoren gebruiken die geschikt zijn
voor de bij u geldende netspanning.
In geen geval transformatoren voor een netspanning
van 220 V dan wel 110 V gebruiken.

• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan één stroomvoorziening
gelijktijdig gevoed worden.

• Voor het conventionele bedrijf met de loc dient de
aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de
ontstoor-set 74046 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf
is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.

• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften in de
gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.

De in het normale bedrijf voorkomende onderhoudswerk­zaamheden zijn verderop beschreven. Voor reparatie of
onderdelen kunt u zich tot uw Märklin winkelier wenden.

Elke aanspraak op garantie en schadevergoeding is uitgesloten, wanneer
in Märklin-producten niet door Märklin vrijgegeven vreemde onderdelen
ingebouwd en / of Märklin-producten omgebouwd worden en de ingebou­wde vreemde onderdelen resp. de ombouw oorzaak van nadien opgetreden
defecten en / of schade was. De aantoonplicht en de bewijslijst daarom­trent, dat de inbouw van vreemde onderdelen in Märklin-producten of de
ombouw van Märklin-producten niet de oorzaak van opgetreden defecten
en / of schade is geweest, berust bij de voor de inbouw en/of ombouw
verantwoordelijke persoon en / of fi rma danwel bij de klant.

LET OP! Dit product bevat magneten. Het inslikken van meer
dan één magneet kan onder bepaalde omstandigheden de
dood tot gevolg hebben.

Aviso de seguridad

• La locomotora solamente debe funcionar en un sistema
de corriente propio (Märklin corriente alterna – transfor­mador 6647 – Märklin Delta – Märklin Digital o Märklin
Systems).

Utilizar únicamente transformadores que correspon­dan a la tensión de red local.
En ningún caso utilizar transformadores para una
tensión de red de 220 V o bien 110 V.

• La locomotora no deberá recibir corriente eléctrica mas
que de un solo punto de abasto.

• Para el funcionamiento convencional de la locomotora
deben suprimirse las interferencias en la vía de conexión
de la alimentación. Para ello debe emplearse el set
supresor de interferencias 74046. El set supresor de
interferencias no es adecuado para el funcionamiento en
modo digital.

• Observe bajo todos los conceptos, las medidas de
seguridad indicadas en las instrucciones de su sistema
de funcionamiento.

Los trabajos de mantenimiento normales están descritos a
continuación. Para reparaciones o recambios contacte con
su proveedor Märklin especializado.

Avvertenze per la sicurezza

• Tale locomotiva deve essere impiegata soltanto con un
sistema di funzionamento adeguato per questa (tras­formatore per corrente alternata Märklin 6647, Märklin
Delta, Märklin Digital oppure Märklin Systems).

Impiegare solamente dei trasformatori che corrispon­dono alle tensioni di rete locali.
Non si impieghino in nessun caso dei trasformatori per
una tensione di rete di 220 V o 110 V.

• La locomotiva non deve venire alimentata nello stesso
tempo con più di una sorgente di potenza.

• Per il funzionamento tradizionale della locomotiva il bina­rio di alimentazione deve essere protetto dai disturbi. A
tale scopo si deve impiegare il corredo antidisturbi 74046.
Tale corredo antidisturbi non è adatto per il funzionamen­to Digital.

• Vogliate prestare assolutamente attenzione alle avverten­ze di sicurezza nelle istruzioni di impiego per il Vostro
sistema di funzionamento.

Le operazioni di manutenzione che si verifi cano nel normale
funzionamento sono descritte nel seguito. Per riparazioni o
parti di ricambio Vi preghiamo di rivolgerVi al Vostro rivendi­tore specialista Märklin.

Wichtige Hinweise zum Ölen der Motorlager:

• Nur sparsam ölen (max. 1 Tropfen). Zuviel Öl führt häufig
zum Verschmieren der Kollektoren und damit zur Beschä

-

digung des Ankers.

• Nach dem Aufbringen des Öltropfens auf das Motor-La

­ger den Anker bewegen. Anschließend überschüssiges
Öl mit einem trockenen Tuch entfernen.

• Lokomotive nach Möglichkeit nicht längere Zeit liegend
lagern, da es sonst möglich ist, dass Lageröl zum Kollek­tor gelangt und ihn beschädigt.

Lubrication after approximately 40 hours of operation
Important Information about Oiling the Motor Bearings:

• Oil sparingly (max. 1 drop). Too much oil frequently cau

­ses the commutator to become dirty and thereby leads to
damage to the armature.

• After you have placed a drop of oil on the motor bearings,
move the armature back and forth a little. Now remove
the excess oil with a dry cloth.

• If possible, do not store the locomotive for long periods of
time on its side, because it is possible that the bearing oil
will get into the commutator and damage it.

Graissage après environ 40 heures de marche
Remarque importante au sujet de la

lubrification des paliers du moteur:

• Lubrifiez en très petite quantité (1 goutte max.). Trop
d‘huile entraîne souvent l‘encrassement du collecteur et
à des dommages à l‘induit.

• Une fois la goutte d‘huile déposée sur le palier de moteur,
faites tourner l‘induit. Ensuite, essuyez le surplus d‘huile à
l‘aide d‘un chiffon sec.

• Si possible, ne pas laisser la locomotive couchée trop
longtemps car il peut arriver que l‘huile emmagasinée
dans les paliers parvienne dans l‘induit et l‘endommage.

Belangrijke opmerking voor het oliën van het motorlager:

• Slechts spaarzaam oliën (max. 1 druppel). Te veel olie
leidt vaak tot versmeren van de collector en daarmee tot
beschadiging van het anker.

• Na het aanbrengen van de oliedruppel op het motorlager
het anker ronddraaien. Aansluitend met een droge doek
de overvloedige olie verwijderen.

• Locomotief indien mogelijk niet langere tijd, liggend op
de zijkant, opslaan, aangezien het dan mogelijk is dat
de olie van het motorlager de collector bereikt en deze
beschadigt.

Indicaciones importantes acerca del engrase de los cojin-

etes del motor:

• Engrasar poco (máx. 1 gota). Demasiado aceite ensucia
el colector y llega a dañar el rotor.

• Una vez colocada la gota de aceite, mover el rotor. A
continuación quitar el aceite sobrante con un paño seco.

• No guardar las locomotoras tumbadas durante mucho
tiempo. Es posible que el aceite llegue hasta el colector y
lo dañe.

Importanti avvertenze per la lubrificazione dei cuscinetti

del motore:

• Si lubrifichi soltanto con parsimonia (al max. 1 goccia).
Troppo olio conduce spesso a un insudiciamento del col

lettore e di conseguenza al danneggiamento del rotore.

• Dopo l’applicazione della goccia di olio ai cuscinetti del
motore, si faccia muovere il rotore. Al termine, si elimini
l’olio in eccedenza con un panno asciutto.

• A seconda delle possibilità, non si lasci giacente la loco

­motiva per un tempo alquanto lungo, poiché altrimenti è
possibile che l’olio dei cuscinetti arrivi sul collettore e lo
danneggi.
