Gas Safety
- Never run the product indoors or in poorly
ventilated locations.
- To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury from
breathing toxic fumes, ensure proper
ventilation when working in confined locations.
- This product produces toxic exhaust fumes as
soon as the water heater is running. These
fumes may be colourless and odourless and
contain unburned hydrocarbons and benzole.

Safety (continued)
This appliance must only be used in an above ground open-air situation with natural ventilation, without stagnant areas, where gas leakage is rapidly
dispersed by wind and natural convection. The following figures are diagrammatical representations of outdoor areas suitable for use with this appliance.
Rectangular areas have been used in these figures – the same principles apply to any other shaped areas.
CAUTION! Accessible parts may be very hot. Keep young children away.
WARNING! USE OUTDOORS ONLY

Preparing the Unit for Use
This unit is not to be permanently plumbed into a
mains water system.
Before using the appliance, it is important to prepare
it by installing the correct adaptors to suit the
intended use
Gas fittings are standard 3/4" POL type. Water
fittings are standard 3/4". When replacing parts, use
approved replacements of the correct type only.
1. Remove all the components from the packaging.
2. Insert 2 D-size batteries into the battery compartmenton the underside of the unit and close the compartment.
The appliance cannot be operated without batteries.
3. Wrap 6 to 8 rotations of plumbers / Teflon tape (available from
the thread of the gas connection on the underside of the unit, then fit the supplied "joiner" to it - ensure that the
rubber washer/seal is in the joiner before installing it. Use 2 suitable spanners - one to hold the nut on the
gas connector and prevent it from twisting, and the other to tighten the "joiner". Take care not to over-tighten as
this may damage the unit.
4. Wrap 6 to 8 rotations of plumbers / Teflon tape clockwise around the thread of the "joiner", then connect the gas
bottle hose to it. Use 2 suitable spanners - one to hold the joiner and prevent it from rotating, and the other to
tighten the gas bottle hose.
5. Connect the regulator end of the gas bottle hose to the gas bottle - ensure that the regulator has the rubber
seal installed. Rotate the securing nut on the regulator left (anti-clockwise) to connect to the gas bottle. Firmly
tighten by hand only.
6. Wrap 6 to 8 rotations of plumbers / Teflon tape clockwise around the thread of the cold water inlet, then connect
the water supply hose to it. If you are using spanners to connect the water supply hose - use 2 spanners - one to
hold the nut on the cold water inlet connector and prevent it from twisting, and the other to tighten the hose
connector. Take care not to over-tighten as this could damage the unit. If the water supply uses a standard
garden hose fitting, install the supplied male garden hose connection to the cold water inlet and tighten by hand.
7. Connect the shower head hose to the hot water outlet. It is optional but recommended to use plumbers / Teflon
tape. Firmly tighten by hand only.
(for example, mains water supply).
If using a water input source through a low voltage
pump, refer to the pump instruction manual.
Typically, connect the pump inlet to the water supply
(for example, bucket of water) and connect the pump
outlet to the appliance cold water inlet connection.
Connect the pump to the power supply (for example,
vehicle 12V system) and switch it on.
It is recommended to use a shower hose no less than
2 meters long.

Operation
CAUTION: Position the gas cylinder away and to the side of the appliance; never place the gas cylinder
directly beside or above the appliance.
CAUTION: Use a suitable and sturdy, non-combustible object to hang the appliance from. The appliance must
have a minimum clearance of 500mm on each side and 1000mm from the top to any combustible surface,
fabric, flammable material, people etc.
IMPORTANT: Before use, check the gas connections for leaks - do NOT use a flame. Coat all connections
with soapy water, then turn the gas supply ON (rotate gas bottle valve left / anti-clockwise 1 full turn), and
observe the connections; if any bubbling can be seen, gas is leaking. If a leak is detected, turn the gas supply
OFF and check and re-tighten all connections, then re-test. Once you determine that there are no leaks
present, turn the gas supply OFF.
IMPORTANT:The appliance requires sufficient water pressure in order to ignite the burners. If the water
supply pressure drops or is turned off, the burners will shut off automatically. • The appliance is designed for
source water temperatures of 20°C or less, and is generally capable of raising the water temperature by
approximately 25°C, up to a maximum of 50°C. • If the output water temperature exceeds 50°C, the burners
will shut off automatically. To re-ignite the burners, turn off the water supply off, then on again.
CAUTION: Some accessible parts of the appliance may be very hot after use.
1. Ensure that the gas and water supplies are correctly connected and there are no gas leaks.
2. Place the flow regulation switch on the shower head in the OFF position.
3. Turn the gas supply ON (rotate gas bottle valve 1 left / anti-clockwise 1 full turn).
4. Set the gas flow rate control to the MAX position, and the water outlet flow rate control to the MIN position.
5. Set the water temperature
WINTER if the temperature is below 6°C.
6. Place the ON / OFF switch in the ON position.
7. Turn the water supply ON (for example, tap or pump). Water should NOT flow from the shower head.
8. When ready, place the flow regulation switch on the shower headin the ON position. Water will start to flow
through the shower head within a few seconds. Once there is sufficient water pressure and flow through the
appliance, the burners will ignite automatically (you should hear a series of clicks as they are ignited). Theburner flame can be seenthrough the appliance "viewing window".
9. After a short time, the output water temperature will increase - the temperature display shows the current water
temperature - adjust the temperature as required using the gas and water flow rate controls - for highertemperatures, increase the gas flow rate and decrease the water flow rate. Caution: Test the water temperature
at the showerhead, as it may be hot enough to cause injury.
10. When finished, turn OFF the gas supply, however, leave the water flowing through the shower head - when the
burners shut off, all gas has been removed from the plumbing. Then, place the flow regulation switch on theshower head in the OFF position and turn the water supply OFF. Place the appliance ON / OFF switch in the
OFF position.

Maintenance
• Before each use, check that the screen filter on the ‘gas inlet’ and ‘water inlet’ pipes is in place and
cleaned of any particles.
• Inspect the appliance regularly for signs of wear, leaks or incorrect operation.
• Do not attempt any maintenance or repair work not described in the instruction manual. Have all other
work performed by a servicing dealer.
• All servicing and repair work must be performed by authorised service agents only.
• Using warm water and mild detergent to clean the surfaces of the appliance. Take care not to allow water to
enter the appliance, especially the burner outlets.
Do NOT submerge the appliance in
any liquid.
Do NOT use abrasives, bleach, harsh detergents or flammable cleaners.
Transporting / Storage
1. Ensure the gas and water supplies are turned OFF and no gas remains in the plumbing or app
appliance and shower hose of any water etc.
2. Ensure the appliance ON / OFF switch is in the OFF position.
3. Carefully disconnect the gas and water connections from the appliance. For connections tightened with
spanners - use 2 spanners - one to hold the nut on the appliance connector and prevent it from twisting, and
the other to loosen the hose connector.
4. Disconnect the regulator and gas bottle hose assembly from the gas cylinder.

Problem Solution
Make sure you have new batteries installed in the correct position. Check the cap of the
battery case for instructions on how they should be installed.
The burners will
not ignite
Check for sufficient water pressure. The unit must have a minimum of approximately
15 kPa of sustained water pressure to activate the burners.
Check that the water inlet filter screen is clean. To flush the system you can reverse
the water
outlet pipe.
Check that the appliance ON / OFF switch and shower head flow regulator is in the
