16. Updating the smartphone system software via OTA
The manufacturer makes, sometimes, available a system software update due to which the device gain the new capabilities, corrections, etc.
In the system, there is included the application [Software updating] . Due to it, you may verify in an update has appeared and, if so, it can be downloaded from Internet and installed in the device.
Note that updates may have the size counted in hundreds megabytes; therefore, we recommend to execute them at the connection via Wi-Fi. Updating via the GSM network may contribute to calculating the fees for the data taken from Interned, by the operator.
Remember that before updating, the battery charge level is higher than 30 per cent. If it were lower, the device should be connected to a mains charger for the updating time.
During the updating process, the device may restart itself several times. Do not remove the rechargeable battery from the device nor use its functions since it may result in that the device becomes inoperable.
17. Safety notes
17.1 Solving problems
In a case of any problems connected with the device, we recommend to make a spare copy of important data (contacts, SMS, photos, recorded films, music, etc.); then, restart the telephone or return to the factory setting of the device. If the problem persists still, read the following advices and comply with the suggestions specified below if you exercise problems with a specific operational section of the device.
SD memory card – check it has been fitted correctly in the relevant
SD socket for SD cards. If this does not help, use another memory card of the adequate class and capacity.
USB operation – check the wire, connecting another device via it.
Check the USB connection form in the telephone settings (the shortcut is available on the notification screen). If this does not help, then use another wire.
Page 46
© 2016 myPhone. All rights reserved. PRIME PL
46
Internet / Wi-Fi – check if the telephone does not operate in the
airplane mode that disable use of any wireless network functions. Check the network broadcast coverage. Check if the function in the device is activated and the parameters are set correctly. Check for the correctness of the Wi-Fi network logging password.
Bluetooth – check if the connection is activated and the Bluetooth
device visibility options you use are active. Ensure that both devices are within the reach of the Bluetooth connection and if there are no obstacles interfering with the Bluetooth operation are between them (a curiosity: some LCD displays absorb magnetic waves). Ensure that the devices have enough free memory space for the purpose of the file exchange. Ensure that both devices operate in the airplane mode (the Airplane mode blocks the operation of Bluetooth).
Sounds – ensure that the telephone sound is not muted and check
the other telephone sound settings. Check if the plug terminating the wire is (or is not) connected correctly to the minijack 3,5 mm socket. Some minijack terminals differ from the other; this may also be a reason. Test another wire or use an adapter.
Photos and screenshots – ensure that the camera lenses are not
shaded by something. Check if the devices has enough free memory space on the SD card or in the internal memory (depending on the medium wherein photos and screenshots are written). Check for SD memory card fitting correctness.
In spite of that the rechargeable battery is being charged, its
charging level decreases unceasingly – switch OFF all the
options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Localisation and, next, decrease the screen brightness (the options consume most energy of the device battery); then switch On the Airplane mode in the device. These simple steps accelerate battery charging. It is recommended that the device is charged with use of a charger and not via the USB port in the computer.
If the problem persists still, contact the device supplier.

Check the accounts regularly, under the aspect of unauthorised or
suspected use. If any traces of improper use of the personal information are found, contact the service provider in order to delete or change the account data.
In a case that the device is lost or stolen, immediately change the
passwords to the accounts (Google, mail, social networks, etc.).
Try not to use applications originating in unknown sources. Block the
device with a pattern, password or a PIN code.
Do not proliferate any material protected by the copyrights. It is not permitted to proliferate the contents protected by copyrights

The battery in the device may be charged via the USB port of
a computer or a laptop. However, this is not a recommended form of charging the battery of the device in operation, due to the low charging current offered by such USB port – in spite of a connection to a power supply source, the rechargeable battery may discharge. If you want to charge the battery in this way, switch the device OFF.
If the battery charge level is low, charge the battery up to use the
device furthermore. If you want to extend the battery life, let it discharge to the level below 20% of the full battery capacity level and, then, charge it fully.
If you do not use a charger, disconnect it from the device.
Overloading may shorten the rechargeable battery life time.
The battery charging temperature value is of an impact upon the
battery charging quality. Before the charging process is commenced, the rechargeable battery may be cooled down or its temperature may be increased so that it is close to the standard one in the room conditions. If the battery temperature value exceeds 40°C, then it must not be charged!
Do not use a damaged rechargeable battery! The battery life may be shortened if the battery is exposed to action
of a very low temperature or a very high one; this will result in disturbances in the device operation even if the battery has been charged again.
