Extended high-volume listening can damage hearing.
• Do not wear earphones or headphones while
operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle. This

products qualify for warranty repair as long as the unit
has not been damaged. If the unit has damage to the
casing, OLED screen or the USB port, then it will not
be repaired under warranty and the warranty will be
voided. Accessories such as earphone, USB extension
cable and USB cap are not covered under warranty.

Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The player doesn’t
work or nothing is
displayed.
• Check if battery is dead or
correctly inserted.
• Or format your player.
No sound is heard
from the earphone.
• Make sure the earphone is
firmly inserted and the volume
control is not set to minimum.
Unable to play MP3
files.
• Make sure the player is not in
menu mode.
• Make sure there are mp3s in
the music folder.
No response to
MP3 player buttons.
• Check if the player’s keys are
locked.
• Reset the device by taking out
the battery.
No removable disk
directory appears
after the player
is connected to a
computer.
• Connect the USB jack of the
player properly.
• Check “Player Manager” of
the computer to make sure
that the player is correctly
installed.
Formatting Your MP3 Player
Format your player if it malfunctions and you cannot
remedy the problem from the above hints. All file
content of the player will be deleted after formatting, so
make sure you back up your files from time to time.
1. Connect the player to your PC.
2. Under My Computer, right-click Removable Disk
and select FAT, then Start.

Care
• Keep your MP3 player dry and clean. If it gets wet
or dirty, wipe it dry or clean immediately. Keep your
MP3 player away from dust and dirt, and wipe it
with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking
new.
• Handle your MP3 player carefully; do not drop it.
• Keep your player away from strong magnetic fields
to avoid electromagnetic interference. Do not leave
the player exposed to humidity, water and liquids,
direct sunlight for long periods of time, or close to a
heat source.
• Modifying or tampering the MP3 player’s internal
components can cause malfunction and might
invalidate its warranty. If your player is not
performing as it should, take it to your local
RadioShack store for assistance.

Installing Battery
If the sound weakens or the low battery indicator
appears, replace the battery.
1. Open the battery compartment cover.
2. Install one AAA battery
(not supplied) into the
battery compartment,
matching the polarity
(+ and –) marked.
3. Close the battery cover.
Battery Notes
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
• Do not burn or bury batteries.
• Use only a fresh battery of the required size and
recommended type.
• If you do not plan to use the player for more than
a week, remove the battery. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
Recycle Rechargeable Batteries
Placing rechargeable batteries in the trash
can be harmful to the environment.
Instead, recycle old rechargeable batteries
at your local RadioShack store free of
charge. RadioShack participates in the
RBRC© battery recycling program, and is committed to
preserving the environment and conserving natural

Connecting to Your PC
1. Open the USB jack cover and
connect the USB cable. Be
careful, the USB jack cover is
attached to the unit.
2. Connect the USB cable to your PC.
3. When the directory Removable Disk appears on
your computer, drag and drop files to the folders
of the player. You can also transfer files from the
player to your PC.

Notes:
• Only unplug the player from your PC when file
transfer is completed to prevent corrupting the files
stored in your player and accidentally reformatting
your player.
• The device can store all types of files in addition to
music files. Data files that are stored on the player
cannot be shown on the display.
