POWER

The MXR Wylde Overdrive uses one 9-volt battery, which is accessed through the bottom of
the pedal. The Wylde Overdrive can also be powered by the Dunlop ECB03 adapter (ECB03E
in Eur op e), a 9- volt D C re gula ted AC a dapte r. Pl ug p olar ity is po si tive o n the ba rr el and
ne gat ive o n the c ent er. No te: A 9 -vo lt ba tte ry mu st be i nst all ed to o per ate t he Wyld e
Overdrive unless an AC adapter is used.

DIRECTIONS

To be gin u sin g y our MX R Wyl de Ove rdr ive , run a cab le fr om yo ur gu ita r t o t he Wy lde
Overdrive’s input jack and run another cable from the Wylde Overdrive’s output jack to your
amplifier. For starters, set all of the Wylde Overdrive’s controls to their 12 o’clock position
and tur n the ef fect on by de pres sing th e foots witch ( red LED on ). No w dial in as mu ch
distortion as you want with the Gain knob. Once you’ve set the amount of distortion to your
liking, you can modify the sound with the Tone knob. Check out the sample settings in this
manual for some of the many great sounds the Wylde Overdrive is capable of.
