While using sturdy gloves, position your fingers behind the outboard edge of the mirror. Pull back on the mirror to dislodge it from the center hub and remove the mirror from the housing.
If your mirrors have the heater option, disconnect the heater wires at this time. Carefully remove the foam disc from the back of the mirror and set it aside.
Carefully peel back the foam insulation on the mirror housing sail.
Press in the rubber grommet into the mirror housing that surrounds the mirror harness.
Pull some of the factory wire harness into the mirror housing. Using the shorter of the two wires from the kit for the driver side door, guide the end without the connector into the sheath alongside the existing wire.
