Einführung

Hiermit möchten wir uns für den Kauf einer FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC­07-FlashROM-Speichererweiterung für Yamaha Tyros 4 + 5, MOTIF XF 6-8 und
MOXF6 + 8 aus unserem Hause bei Ihnen bedanken!

Die FMC-05-Erweiterung bietet 512MB, die FMC-06-Erweiterung 1024MB
und die FMC-07-Erweiterung 2048MB Speicherkapazität. Alle Erweiterungen
können nach dem Formatieren im jeweiligen Gerät (siehe dessen
Bedienungsanleitung!) sofort zur Speicherung von Wave-Dateien, die z.B.
von einem USB-Stick oder einer Festplatte importiert wurden, genutzt
werden.

Lieferumfang

Bitte prüfen Sie nach dem Kauf Ihrer Speichererweiterung den
Verpackungsinhalt auf folgende Komponenten:

FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07-FlashROM-Speichererweiterung

1 x
2 x Abstandshalter mit M4-Innen- u. Außengewinde, 8mm Höhe
2 x Schraube mit M4-Gewinde
1 x Einbauanleitung (dieses Dokument)

und Inbetriebnahme Ihres MUTEC-Pro­duktes dieses über unsere Website zu

Vor der Installation der FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07-FlashROM­Erweiterung lesen Sie bitte die Abschnitte »Vorsichtsmaßnahmen«
und »Vorsichtsmaßnahmen für die Installation« sowie im Bereich der
FlashROM-Einbauanleitung unter »Warnung« und »Vorsicht« in der
Bedienungsanleitung Ihres jeweiligen Yamaha-Gerätes!

Wir empfehlen Ihnen, bei eventuell auftretenden Problemen während des
Einbaues sofort Ihren Fachhändler aufzusuchen, bei welchem Sie die o.g.
Produkte gekauft haben, da MUTEC GmbH für Schäden oder Folgeschäden,
die durch eigenmächtigen Eingriff / Einbau entstehen, keinerlei Haftung
übernimmt!

Die FMC -05-, FMC-06- und FMC-07­Flash-ROM-Erweiterungen sind mit

Einbau der FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07-FlashROM­Erweiterung

Grundsätzliche Informationen zum Einbau der beiden Erweiterungen
entnehmen Sie bitte der Bedienungsanleitung Ihres jeweiligen Yamaha­Gerätes. Diese finden Sie im Anhang des Inhaltsverzeichnisses unter
»Installieren des optionalen FlashSpeicher-Erweiterungsmoduls«. Die
Erweiterungen tragen bei Yamaha folgende Bezeichnungen:

MUTEC FMC-05 = Yamaha FL512M
MUTEC FMC-06 = Yamaha FL1024M
MUTEC FMC-07 = nicht verfügbar von Yamaha

Weiterhin möchten wir sie auf eine Besonderheit bei dem Einbau der
FMC-05-, FMC-06- und FMC-07-Erweiterungen hinweisen, die nicht in den
Yamaha-Bedienungsanleitungen steht (siehe Skizze auf Seite 2):

Bevor Sie die FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07-Erweiterung auf den
Anschlußsockel auf dem Mainboard drücken, müssen Sie die beiden
mitgelieferten Abstandsbolzen in die Gewindebolzen einschrauben.
Es reicht, wenn Sie die Abstandsbolzen mit der Hand festziehen, es ist
nicht nötig, die Abstandsbolzen mit einem speziellen Werkzeug fest
anzu-ziehen.

Danach stecken Sie die FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07-Erweiterung
vorsichtig, wie in der Skizze dargestellt, in den 120pin-Anschlußsockel
auf dem Mainboard ein.

Zur Befestigung der FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07-Erweiterung
drehen Sie nun die beiden mitgelieferten Schrauben, wie in der Skizze
gezeigt, durch die Löcher in der Erweiterungsplatine in die Gewinde
der zuvor montierten Abstandsbolzen ein und ziehen diese mit einem
geeigneten Kreuzschlitzschraubenzieher fest.

Montieren sie nun das Abdeckblech, um die Öffnung im Gerät zu ver­schließen.

Erst nach ordnungsgemäßer Montage der FMC-05-, FMC-06- oder FMC-07­Erweiterung und des Abdeckbleches darf das Yamaha-Gerät wieder an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen und eingeschaltet werden!

Begrenzungen von
Waveforms und Samples

Bitte beachten Sie, daß sich die
Anzahlen der Waveforms/Samples, bzw.
die der Wave Counts/Waveform Counts
bei Einatz der FMC-07 in Ihrer jeweiligen
Yamaha Musik-Workstation nicht erhöhen!

Für MOTIF XF6-8 and MOXF6+8 bestehen
die folgenden Betriebssystem-basierenden
Beschränkungen:

max. 2048 Waveforms
max. 128 Samples pro Waveform
max. 8192 Samples (insgesamt)

Für Tyros 4 mit Betriebssystem 1.10 oder
höher:

max. 9999 Wave Counts
max. 2560 Waveforms Counts

Für Tyros 5:

Keine Beschränkungen

Neue, maximale Speicherkapazitäten mit der FMC-07

Mit der Nutzung der FMC-07 FlashROM-Speichererweiterung in Ihrer
Yamaha Musik-Workstation ändern sich die maximalen Speicherkapazitäten
in den jeweiligen Geräten wie folgt:

Yamaha Tyros 4 + 5: 2048MB
Yamaha Tyros MOTIF XF6, XF7, XF8: 4096MB
Yamaha Tyros MOXF6, MOXF8: 2048MB

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the MUTEC FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-06 FlashROM
memory expansion for Yamaha Tyros 4 + 5, MOTIF XF 6-8 and MOXF6 + 8.

The FMC-05 expansion offers 512MB, the FMC-06 expansion 1024MB and
the FMC-07 expansion 2048MB storage capacity. After formatting, all
expansions can instantly be used in the respective device (note its manuals
for storing wav files imported from e.g. a USB sticks or a hard discs).

Product Contents

Please check the contents of the package after the purchase of your
memory expansion for the following components:

1 x FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 FlashROM memory expansion
2 x spacers with M4 inside & outside threading, 8mm height
2 x screws with M4 threading
1 x installation guide (this document)

Precautions

Before you install the FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 FlashROM expansion,
please read the passages »Precautions« and »Precautions for the instal­lation« as well as »Warning« and »Caution« in the FlashROM installation
section of the instruction manual of your respective Yamaha device!

If any problems occur during the installation, instantly consult the dealer
you purchased this product from because MUTEC GmbH will not be liable
for any damage or consequential damage that arose out of unauthorized
intervention or installation!

Installation of the FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 FlashROM
Expansion

Please refer to the operation manual of your respective Yamaha device for
fundamental information about the installation of both expansions. You
find it in the appendix of the index under »Installing an optional Flash store
expansion module«. Yamaha marks the expansions as follows:

MUTEC FMC-05 = Yamaha FL512M
MUTEC FMC-06 = Yamaha FL1024M
MUTEC FMC-07 = not available from Yamaha

We furthermore refer to a special feature of the installation of your FMC­05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 expansion card that was not mentioned in the
Yamaha manuals (see sketch below and continuation page):

the FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 expansion into the connector socket on
the main board.

Tighten the distance bolts with your hand. It is not necessary to use a
special tool for this procedure. Then plug the FMC-05 / FMC-06 expan­sion carefully (see the sketch) into the 120pin connector socket on the
main board.

To fix the FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 expansion, turn the supplied
screws (see the sketch) through the holes in the expansion board into
the threads of the previously mounted spacers and tighten them with a
fitting Phillips screwdriver.

Now mount the cover plate to close the aperture in the device.

The FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 expansion and the cover plate must be
mounted properly before the Yamaha device is connected with the mains
and switched on!

New, maximum Memory Capacities with the FMC-07

Limitations of

Waveforms and Samples

Please note, that the numbers of
useable waveforms/samples, respectively of
wave counts/waveform counts will be not
increased when installing the FMC-07 in your
appropriate Yamaha music workstation!

For MOTIF XF6-8 and MOXF6+8 the following
OS-based limitations are existing:

max. 2048 Waveforms
max. 128 Samples per Waveform
max. 8192 Samples (in total)

As for Tyros 4 with OS 1.10 or higher:

max. 9999 Wave Counts
max. 2560 Waveforms Counts

As for Tyros 5:

No limitations at all.

With use of the FMC-07 FlashROM memory expansion card in your Yamaha
music workstation, the maximum memory capacity can be now changed to
the following values:

Yamaha Tyros 4 + 5: 2048MB
Yamaha Tyros MOTIF XF6, XF7, XF8: 4096MB
Yamaha Tyros MOXF6, MOXF8: 2048MB

USB Audio Conversion at ultimate Flexibility
