WARNING: Prevent serious injuries and/or death! Be sure all
fasteners are secure before riding. Never exceed the manufacturer’s recommended loading limits for your motorcycle! BE SURE THE SADDLEBAGS DO NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH ANY MOVING PARTS. ALWAYS CHECK FOR PROPER CLEARANCE BEFORE RIDING!
PROCEDURE
STEP 1 Read and understand all steps in the instructions before
starting the installation. Park motorcycle on a hard, level surface; turn off the ignition and allow the engine to cool.
STEP 2 The saddlebags t either over or under the passenger seat (see PIC.1 and PIC.2.) The saddlebags can be positioned with the narrow wedge end facing either forward or backward, depending on the best t for your application.
STEP 3 The width between the tops of the saddlebags is adjustable, allowing the bags to t many applications, see PIC.3. Separate the Velcro aps and reposition to adjust the width. Be sure that the width between the saddlebags is not so loose that a saddlebag could get caught under the fender or in the wheel.
PIC. 3
STEP 4 The saddlebags are equipped with multiple steel D-rings
allowing you to get the best t for your application. Slide the steel D-rings into the elastic pockets when not in use to eliminate

rattling due to vibration, see PIC.3. Mustang recommends securing the saddlebag to the passenger footpeg or the frame. DO NOT secure saddlebags to the swingarm or any part that moves independently from the seat. Before riding, be sure the straps will not tangle in any moving parts.
STEP 5 Slide the cable lock through the D-rings to secure the saddlebags to your motorcycle, see PIC.4.
WARNING: After installing the saddlebags, be sure to check for proper clearance between the bag and any moving parts, including the wheels and swing arm. Never place anchoring straps near the wheels or brake calipers. Be sure the placement of the saddlebags does not interfere with safe operation of the motorcycle.
