Important: Read all instructions and warnings carefully before starting installation. Failure to follow these
instructions may result in a possible electric shock, fire hazard and will void the warranty.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided,
use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.914 meters) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has
been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never
locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
8. Do not run power cord under carpeting. Do not cover power cord with throw rugs, runners, or the
like. Arrange power cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
9. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
10. Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause
an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
12. To prevent a possible fire, do not block firebox air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not operate
firebox on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
13. A heater has hot and arching or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or
flammable liquids are used or stored.
14. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.
15. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord shall be No.14ga minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Any repairs to this appliance should be carried out by qualified/authorized service personnel only.
2. Under no circumstances should this appliance be modified Parts having to be removed for servicing
must be replaced with original “OEM” (original equipment manufacturers) parts only.
3. This firebox is to be cleaned with a damp cloth (water) only.
IMPORTANT: Always unplug the power cord before cleaning the unit. Do not use any abrasive cleaners
on the unit.
4. Please unplug this firebox when not in use.
Grounding Instructions
This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown

in figure 1A in the diagram. An adapter as shown in figure 1C is available for connecting three-blade grounding-type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded

outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available.

instructions are followed. Also, for best effect install the fireplace out of direct sunlight.
It is safe to set the fireplace insert close to non-combustibles. DO NOT STORE OR USE GASOLINE OR
OTHER FLAMMABLE VAPORS OR LIQUIDS IN THE VICINITY OF THIS OR ANY OTHER APPLIANCE.

Electrical Connection
A 15 Amp, 120 Volt, 60 Hz circuit with a properly grounded outlet is required to operate this appliance. Preferably, the fireplace insert will be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same circuit may cause the circuit breaker to trip or the fuse to blow when the heater is in operation. The unit comes

standard with a 6 ft (1.8 m) long 3 wire cord, exiting out the back of the fireplace insert. Plan the installation to avoid the use of an extension cord. If an extension cord must be used, it must be a minimum 14 ga, 3 wire with grounding type plug and connector and rated not less than 1875 watts. The extension cord shall not be more than 20 ft (6 m) in length.
WARNING: Electrical outlet wiring must comply with local building codes and other applicable regulations
to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons.
WARNING: Do not use this fireplace insert if any part of it has been under water. Immediately call a
qualified service technician to inspect the firebox and replace any part of the electrical system which has been under water.
Service Instructions
For Your Safety
Service must be performed by qualified/authorized service personnel only.
Glass Information
1. Under no circumstances should this product be operated with a broken or chipped glass panel.
2. Do not strike or slam the glass.
3. Do not use abrasive cleansers to clean the glass.
4. This product uses tempered glass. Replacement of the glass supplied by the manufacturer should be done by qualified/authorized service personnel only.
Installing the Ember Beds
You will need one phillips head screwdriver and remove the 3 ember beds from the carton to complete the following instructions:
1. Remove the 6 screws on the back left and right sides of the firebox that hold the glass front in place.
2. Carefully remove the glass front.
3. Arrange the ember beds (acrylic crystals, pebbles or log set) along the inset window ledge at the front of the electric firebox
4. Replace the glass front.
5. Line up the holes on the front with the holes on the firebox and insert and tighten 6 screws to hold the glass front in place.

Operating Instructions
This firebox insert features conveniently separate controls for the flame effect and heat control. This feature allows you to operate the unit in 2 different ways;

NOTE: This firebox insert is not designed to operate in “heat” only mode without a flame effect.
Using the touchscreen and remote controls
On the top-right of the electric firebox is the touchscreen control panel. The touchscreen panel and remote control operate the electric firebox's heat, timer and flame effect settings. The touchscreen control icons light up when pressed. The icon lights and digital display will deactivate if no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds. Note: The remote control is intended only for the functional operation to the product, it
cannot lock/unlock the flame or heating function, nor can it be used to convert the Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature display.

This product contains a button battery. If swallowed, it could cause severe injury or death in just 2 hours. Seek medical attention immediately.
Using the power button
Pressing the power button (1) once turns the power on. Pressing the power button (1) again will turn the power off.
Using the flame button
Pressing the flame control button (2) once turns flames on and lights the ember bed. Continue to press the flame control button (2) to cycle through different colors of the ember bed. Reference the table for more information.

Using the heat button
The heat button (3) turns the heater on and off. To adjust the thermostat settings touch the heat button on the touchscreen control to activate the heater then touch and hold the heat button for 5 seconds, the digital display (6) will flash and enter the temperature adjustment mode. In the adjustment mode press the heat button (3) to adjust the desired temperature. There are 22 temperature settings: 72˚F
- 73˚F…82˚F - ON - 62˚F - 63˚F…71˚F (Celsius temperature 22˚C - 23˚C…27˚C - ON - 17˚C ­18…21˚C). Once you've selected your desired temperature the display will flash 5 times and exit the adjustment mode. Once the desired room temperature is reached the heater will deactivate. To display the temperature setting in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, touch the heat button on the touchscreen control to activate the heater then touch and hold the power button for 5 seconds. The display will flash 3 times and switch between Fahrenheit or Celsius. To enter no-heat "demo mode" touch and hold the heat button on the touchscreen control for 10 seconds. The logs will flash 6 times and the heater function will be locked out. While in demo mode touch and hold the heat button on the touchscreen control for 10 seconds to reactivate the heater.
Using the timer button
Pressing the timer control button (4) will set the timer and each subsequent press of the timer button will increase the timer function in 1 hour increments. This interval period is shown in the display (6). The set intervals range from 1 - 8 hours.
