Cause:Servoaxisabsolutepositionretainingbatteries
arebad
Solution:Replacebatteries
Explanation: Murataturningcentershavetwosetsof
retainingbatteries.Oneset retainstheabsolute
positioningofeachservoaxis.Thisistheinformationthat
tellsthemachinewhereit ispositionedat alltimes.When
themachineisturnedoff,thebatteriessupplyacurrentto
theencoderwhichstoresallthepositioninginformation
whilepowereddown.Thesebatteriesareusually(8)"0"
Cellbatteriesinstalledin(2)batterycaseslocatedonthe
backsideof themachine.
Ifatanytimewhilethemachineispowereddownthese
batterieslosetheircharge,allinformationstoredonthe
encoderswill belost.Youmustthengothroughthe
processofre-establishingthehomepositionsforallofyourdifferentaxiswhichcanbetimeconsumingand
unnecessary.
Werecommendchangingthesebatteriesonceayearorwheneveryougeta "LOWBATTERY
ALARM",whichevercomesfirst.
Eventhoughsomethingassimpleaschangingbatteries
mightseemunimportant,itcangreatlyaffectthebottom
linebycausingdowntimeandwastedmanpower.
