1. GENERAL SAFETY RULES
READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL BEFORE USING THE
HEAT RADIATOR AND KEEP IT SAFE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
THE UNIT MUST BE INSTALLED AND OPERATED FOLLOWING THE HEALTH,
SAFETY AND FIRE PREVENTION RULES IN FORCE IN THE COUNTRY OF
DESTINATION.
THE HEAT RADIATOR MUST BE USED ONLY ON LEVEL, FLAT FIRE-PROOF
FLOORS.
ENSURE A SAFETY DISTANCE OF 3 m FROM WALLS AND OBJECTS.
THE HEATER IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN ROOMS CONTAINING EXPLOSIVE
DUST, SMOKE, COMBUSTIBLE VAPOURS, FLUIDS AND FLAMMABLE MATERIALS.
THE HEATER CASING BECOMES VERY HOT DURING OPERATION. DO NOT
TOUCH THE UNIT DURING OPERATION AND DURING THE COOLING TIME AFTER
SHUT OFF.
DUAL VOLTAGE UNITS: BEFORE CONNECTING TO MAINS, MAKE
SURE THAT THE VOLTAGE SELECTOR IS SET ON THE CORRECT SETTING.
2. DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONING
A pump sucks fuel from the tank and drives it to the burner under pressure. Fuel is sprayed
and atomized by the nozzle and then ignited by burner ignition device. A built-in radial blower
provides the proper combustion air flow. Air and fuel drops mix and form a combustible
mixture. The flames heat up the front plate and guard, thus releasing heat by radiation.
The metal front guard acts as a catalyzer, it complete combustion of hydrocarbons and
reduces emission of pollutants. To direct the heat to a special point or object, the radiator can
be tilted up to 20° upwards or downwards.
3. APPLICATION FIELDS
Heating working areas in large, well ventilated rooms or outdoors heating.
Dust-free drying varnished parts.
Drying and de-icing construction areas, concrete, walls, etc.
Defrosting machines and buildings.
4. INSTALLATION
Fill the oil tank with clean, water-free Diesel oil.
Connect to a 230V 50Hz earthed electrical outlet complying with local regulations.
Dual voltage model: connect either to a 230-240V 50Hz or 110V 50Hz electrical outlet.
Set the correct voltage on voltage selector.
COLD START: if ignition is difficult at extremely low temperature, check tank, connections
and filter for paraffin formation, and mix Diesel oil with 10% kerosene.
a) INDOOR OPERATION, NO PEOPLE STAYING IN THE HEATED ROOM.
Ensure that sufficient air is available for combustion through windows and doors. The heated
volume (m3)/heat output (kW) ratio must be at least 10:1. People must be properly advised not
to stay permanently in the heated room.
b) INDOOR OPERATION, PEOPLE STAYING IN THE HEATED ROOM.
Ensure that a good natural supply of ventilation air is available as follows:
The heated volume (m3)/heat output (kW) ratio must be at least 30:1.
Air circulation must be ensured through windows and doors or permanent openings near floor
and ceilings, whose total open area (m2) is at least 0.003 times the total heat output (kW).
The volume concentration of O2 (oxygen) in the heated room must always be above 17%.
HEAT RADIATION
1. Loosen the clamping levers on both sides.
2. Position the heat radiator as required.
3. Tighten the clamping levers.
5. START UP
1. To START: set switch to ON
2. To STOP: set switch to OFF
