EN. INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing the Munchkin Shhh… Portable Baby Soother. We hope that it will help soothe
your baby during those fussy moments in the car, while out in the pushchair, or at nap times. You can
use the Shhh… in your hand to help calm your baby. It can also be used as a sound machine or night
light to help your child sleep.

WARNING!

• Possible entanglement or strangulation injury. Do not attach to cot, bassinet, playpen or playyard.

• Keep Shhh… out of baby’s reach.

• This product is not a toy. DO NOT attach to crib, bassinet, playpen or playyard.

• Do not leave child unattended.

• Adult supervision required.

BATTERY INFORMATION

• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types.

• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium,
lithium-ion) batteries.

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

• Insert batteries in the correct polarity position as indicated inside the battery compartment.

• Never short circuit battery terminals.

• Use the only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended .

• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from product.
Dispose of batteries safely and properly.

• Do not dispose of product in a re. The batteries inside may exploded or leak.

• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed before being charged.

• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.

• Do not submerge in water or other liquids.

NOTE: Requires two AA batteries. Batteries not included. For longer battery life,
use 2 AA alkaline batteries. When sounds become faint or stop, it is time for an adult
to change the batteries. Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.

pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate
radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not

occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to
try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet
on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

How to Use

SETTING THE TIMER

Twist the bottom of the device until is aligned
with your desired timer setting (10, 20, 30 minutes). The timer will begin
counting down each time the device is turned on. At the end of the timer
cycle, all sound and light functions will turn off automatically. NOTE: Changing
any setting (timer, sound or light) while the device is on will reset the timer.

CHOOSING A SOUND

Press the sound button to turn on the rst sound. Press again to toggle
through sound options.

Press or hold or buttons to control volume.
To turn off all functions at any time, press and hold for 2.5 seconds.

USING THE NIGHTLIGHT

NOTE: The light function can be used by itself or in addition to a sound option.

Press the light button to turn on the pulsing light. Press again to toggle through light options.

NIGHTLIGHT OPTIONS

Light Option 1:

Gentle Pulse

To turn off only the light, press and hold for 2.5 seconds. Any sound option selected will continue.

Constant

Press Again:

How to Use

SECURING THE HAND STRAP

Guide the small loop at the end of the strap through the eyelet on the base.
Pull the rest of the strap through the loop.

CHANGING THE BATTERIES

1. Twist the base until the battery icon is lined up with the unlock icon.

Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, unscrew the base.

2. Unscrew the battery compartment and insert two new AA batteries.

NOTE: Base can only be removed if these

icons are lined up.

NOTE: When putting the base back on,
align with to ensure correct orientation.

CARE AND CLEANING Clean and inspect the Shhh…™ before use. Wipe with a damp cloth

and air dry. Do not immerse in water or allow water inside through openings.

INFORMATIONS CONCERNANT LES PILES

• Ne mélangez pas de nouvelles piles avec des piles usagées ou d'un type différent.

• Ne mélangez pas des piles alcalines avec des piles standard (carbone-zinc) ni avec des piles
rechargeables (nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion).

• N’essayez pas de recharger des piles non rechargeables.

• Insérez les piles en respectant les indications de polarité situées à l’intérieur du compartiment
à piles.

• Ne faites jamais de court-circuit au niveau des bornes de piles.

• N’utilisez que le type de piles recommandé, ou un type équivalent.

• Sortez les piles de l’appareil en cas de non utilisation prolongée. Sortez toujours les piles usagées
du produit. Jetez les piles de manière adéquate et sûre.

• Ne jetez pas ce produit au feu. Les piles qui s'y trouvent pourraient exploser ou fuir.

• Les piles rechargeables doivent être sorties de l’appareil avant d’être mises en charge.

• Les piles rechargeables doivent impérativement être rechargées sous la supervision d'un adulte.

• N’immergez jamais ce produit dans l’eau ou dans d’autres liquides.

REMARQUE : fonctionne avec 2 piles AA. Piles non fournies. Pour prolonger la durée de vie des piles,
utiliser 2 piles alcalines AA. Lorsque les sons faiblissent ou s’arrêtent, il est temps qu’un adulte change
les piles. Les piles doivent être recyclées ou éliminées conformément à la réglementation.
