INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the Munchkin Shhh…™ Portable Baby Soother. We hope that it
will help soothe your baby during those fussy moments in the car, while out in the stroller,
or shortly before nap time.
You can use the Shhh…™ in your hand to help distract and calm your baby. It can also be
used as a sound machine or night light to help your child sleep.
WARNINGS
WARNING!: Possible entanglement or
strangulation injury. Do not attach to crib, bassinet, play pen
or play yard. Keep Shhh…™ out of baby’s reach.
• This product is not a toy. DO NOT place this product inside a crib, bassinet,
playpen and play yard.
• Do not leave child unattended.
• Adult supervision required.
BATTERY INFORMATION
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium,
lithium-ion) batteries.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Insert batteries in the correct polarity position.
• Do not short circuit battery terminals.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries
from product. Dispose of batteries properly.
• Use caution when opening battery compartment as some batteries may leak, explode
or catch on fi re.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed before being charged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Do not submerge in water or other liquids.
NOTE: Requires two AA batteries. Batteries not included. For longer battery life, use 2 AA
alkaline batteries. When sounds become faint or stop, it is time for an adult to change the
batteries. Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception,
which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to
try to connect the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the
equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

SECURING THE HAND STRAP
Guide the small loop at the end of the strap through the
eyelet on the base.
Pull the rest of the strap through the loop.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
1. Twist the timer until is set to 30. Using a Phillips-head
screwdriver, unscrew the base.
2. Unscrew the battery compartment and insert two new AA batteries.
NOTE: When putting the base back on, align with 30 to ensure correct orientation.
CARE AND CLEANING
Clean and inspect the Shhh…™ before use. Wipe with a damp cloth and air dry. Do not
immerse in water or allow water inside through openings.

SETTING THE TIMER
Twist the bottom of the device until is aligned with your
desired timer setting (10, 20, 30 minutes).
The timer will begin counting down each time the device is
turned on. At the end of the timer cycle, all sound and light
functions will turn off automatically.
NOTE: Changing any setting (timer, sound or light)
while the device is on will reset the timer.
CHOOSING A SOUND
Press the sound button to turn on the fi rst sound. Press again to toggle through
sound options.
SOUND OPTIONS
Sound Option 1:
Shhh
Sound Option 2:
White Noise
Sound Option 3:
Heartbeat
Press Again:
OFF
Press or hold or buttons to control volume.
To turn off all functions at any time, press and hold for 2.5 seconds.
USING THE NIGHTLIGHT
NOTE: The light function can be used by itself or in addition to a sound option.
Press the light button to turn on the pulsing light. Press again to toggle through light
options.
NIGHTLIGHT OPTIONS
Light Option 1:
Gentle Pulse
Light Option 2:
Constant
Press Again:
OFF
To turn off only the light, press and hold for 2.5 seconds. Any sound option selected
will continue.
